Happy 44th birthday, dearest Yoshiki ♥!!
The last time i updated my skin was on Yochan's 43rd birthday, and a year had passed. I'm glad that his surgery went fine and i hope he's recovering well. Don't neglect your therapy, Yochan, and hope to see you next year in China ^^

i was gathering some data from my mom xD my question was: what's childhood sickness that makes us very very very troublesome and whiny and naggy and simply detestable? Labels: childhood story
my mom couldn't remember. but she remembered something else: when i was little i was the opposite of my brother in terms of our reaction to medicine. apparently one of us were ecstatic and the other one was always scared when it comes to taking medicine. my mom couldn't remember which one was which (maybe having 2 kids whose age difference was barely 1 year was confusing) but i'd say that i was the scared one while my bro was the enthusiastic one, coz that behaviour carries on til now.
when it comes to slight cough and flu, my bro and sis are the type that "drink medicine before it worsens", while me, i'm the type that still eat french fries and everything when having cough and never, ever, want to drink flu medicine. i only drink medicine on 3 ocassions: 1) prescribed by doctor (which means i have to go to doctor before i want to drink the meds), or 2) i'm sick and feverish and can't get up from bed, and 3) my sickness had been going on for over a month and it's starting to disturb other ppl greatly. other than that, i absolutely resent the idea of anyhow taking medicine, much less prescribing myself medicine for a type of sickness.
and, oh, apparently when i was little, everytime i got cough, i would always vomit 0_0 wow. i remembered those period of time when i had to go to the doctor every month because of coughs, but i didn't remember the vomiting part o.O luckily this monthly-cough disappeared after my tonsil operation ^^

i can easily tell others: let the others think what they may, we are entitled to our own opinion.
but if they're discussing THEIR conviction in public place, thus forcing us to read and subsequently got disgusted by their ridiculous and dellusional convictions, i'd say i have the right to be annoyed
like wtf ppl, you believe that your otp is real, then talk about it in your own haven! what the heck are you doing talking about it in public places like the world agrees with you. i, for one, do NOT.
i have my own otp-bias as well, and i am convinced that they're true. true friends. the best of friends. the bestest of best friends. one that is such that they're sharing tattoos on their bodies. for all stories that you're spewing out of your mouth, that your otp is real, that there are supposed-sightings of lovey-dovey time your otp shared, nothing can beat the realness of a name inked into your body permanently forever. give me a reason and i'll scoff at you, and for good reason.
maybe why i'm being so bitchy about it, despite my own belief that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and delusion, is the fact that THAT'S CHUN'S JAEJOONG YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!
...oops. have i just revealed my card?
-_- now, please, girls, go back to your own forums/cages/communities whatever and convince each other there. the rest of the world don't need to hear about your delusion as much as they don't need to hear about mine.
what other song best described as the anthem for X Japan other than X?
2010.08.14 X Japan World Tour - Yokohama - X with Taiji
watching the performance, i'm feeling a mixture of emotions. awe, because they still managed to pull it off like they did 13 years ago. amazement, because even after 13 years the Dome is STILL packed with 65,000 people. amazement, that after almost 20 years taiji is back with X. glee, watching yochan still pulling off his antics, trying to create sound with whatever medium he had (no matter how big your gong is, that whip is SO not making any noise, yochan *giggles*). sadness mixed with pride, when toshi called "on guitar, hide!" and, together with the other 65,000 fans, pointed up to the heaven where hide was; you've been gone for 12 years, hide, but we will never forget you! and sheer happiness because they're back again. on stage. playing music together again.
taiji patting yochan's head (not just once or twice) really made me smile. like, honestly yochan, it doesn't look like you're older than him by a couple of years! xD and a lot of other things made me smile too. like yochan screaming hoarsely into the mic (god, can you talk for the rest of the night, yochan?), yochan giving the mic back to toshi, but then changed his mind last minuted and snatched it back again and toshi laughing because of his fickle-mindedness, toshi going behind the drums and drumming instead because, god, yochan was taking waay too long down there fooling around when the song was not even finished yet, and by drumming a certain rythm he almost ended the song (lol, toshi), the whole 65,000 people in Tokyo Dome doing the X jump together (did nearby neighbourhood reported earthquake again?), and toshi going behind a drumming yochan and seeing both of them smiling this time.
everything just made me smile =)
though... there is something missing that made me smile with sadness. something that's much more apparent after everything ended.
something in the form of hide.
x japan world tour - yokohama - Tears ~eng ver
hide had always been the eccentric figure on stage. the most eye-catching one. but, at the same time, the one with the sense to match, and at the same time reign in, yochan's absurdity and actions on stage. he just seemed like a buffer between rowdy yoshiki and the world, coz for all his eccentric appearance, hide was also very level-headed and calm in his own way. pata and heath seem like they're powerless to do anything to yochan, sugizo still feels like an outsider (sorry sugizo), and toshi is caring but he couldn't really control yochan either. but hide was always there to match yochan's crazy outbursts, and at the same time i get the feeling that he'll also be there to take care of things if shit happens and, quote yochan, to pick up the piles of the things that he (yochan) had destroyed. he's always been the mother figure. but now that he's gone, something feels terribly empty in his wake.
yochan is still the rebellious dork he used to be, going down to the audience arena and running about, often times taking a sharp turn as though trying to avoid the school of security personnels scrambling behind him, and thus causing them to sprint all over trying to catch this naughty boy before he fell into greater mischief. it brought back a lot of memories. i'm betting that they're creating so many aisles in between the audience's space for the sake of creating space for yochan to run about, and they made those aisles so freakin wide simply for the sake of creating more space for the security personnels to run so that they are able to catch yoshiki easier xDDD that man is a danger to himself, what more to people around him xDD
all in all, everytime i see them performing live again, i'm glad for it. glad for the opportunity still given to them to perform again, given to us to see them perform again. not many people remember to be grateful, that this opportunity could be taken away from us with no warning. considering yoshiki's health condition, i wonder....
i know that he will still be yoshiki, going against what doctors tell him to do and charges on forward pursuing whatever society said can't be done. but the fact remains that he'd been dealing with some serious health issues for sometime now. the spinal injury that pushed him to undergo operation on his neck last year, the tendonitis that's been ocassionally plaguing him since Aichi World Expo performance, and god only knows what else he's hiding from us.
hide passed away when X Japan had broken up. eventhough he and yochan was planning for the breakup to be temporary and was planning to make a comeback, his death somewhat made a lot of us, and dare i say Yoshiki himself, believed that X won't come back together again.
they've survived one tragedy.
...but, i have doubts whether they would be able to withstand another blow should another tragedy comes along.
so, please, toshi, heath, pata, sugizo, and most especially, the one who's always out injuring himself, yoshiki, please take care of your health! and be safe! =) your safety is the priority in all of us, fans, hearts! don't overwork yourself, you hear me?!

one of my friend is going to release a book raised from her blog entries.
that made me think.
of my own blog, of course.
like could i also publish my own blog-book? jk.
not many of you might know but i've been keeping a blog for as long as 6-7 years ago. and i used to be an active updater too. my blog entries weren't about idols either.
my... upon further reflection, the quality of my entries had gone down tremendously, hadn't it? gee...
anyway, yea, i have been blogging for a loooong time. how cool would it be if, let's say, i could do something like "a day in history of my blog" or something and looked back about what i blogged about at this date at 200x year? sure would raise a lot of memories =D
for example, by this period of time 5 years ago, i was still in JC, preparing for prelims for A' Level. and i was very down. very, very down.
tuesday, 16aug2005, @hanaatsajc.blogdrive.com
"my O's year was as bad as this, if not just slightly better since i just failed the L1R5 criteria to enter a JC by 1 point for the prelims. but, then i have a few motivators around me. ming hui was still teaching me, shamane was constantly asking me to study, and Ms Siti, whose words can move mountain according to Ms Noraini *but i agree with her anyway* was there, my form teacher. and last but definitely not least, my most favourite principal, Mrs Caroline Lee was there to talk to us. it's because of her graciousness and her faith in us that i managed to get a JC for my first 3 months. and i think she wasn't disappointed, coz my batch managed to outdo the O's result of my senior's batch. with a 60% distinction for english for the whole level, i think she was very pleased when our results came in March last year.
but mrs lee is not here now. she's returned to the Father last year and i could't even thanked her for being such a wonderful, and beloved, principal during Speech Day. ms siti is not teaching here either, shamane is in different class than me and ming hui is no longer teaching me. though mr koh had been quite a motivator and kind CT, and i have great friends around me, somehow i missed the St Marg's family feeling. the feeling on the air nearing O's was that we're in here together and we're going to get through it together. right now i feel like i'm lost in the race, right at the back of everyone else, that i'm nowhere near enough to achieve a good result, that i am already a loser and i can't blame anyone else other than me."
gee, wasn't that depressing? =/
i think i should try updating more often, for things other than idols *coughsdbskcoughs* so that next year or the following years when i look back i have something interesting to remember about =)
and, i'm going to go back to my previous blogs (i have 2 before this current blog) and take down ALL of my entries so that i can peruse them on my own convenience. stupidly, i used my first blog as an experimental layout place and i placed a password on it. and now i can't even see my own blog xD lol... so, yea, i'm gonna go back to all of my entries, copy them down one by one and let's see what are they interesting things i've written in the past =D

featuring: Yoshiki about: Yochan underwent a surgery to correct his spine, a problem that had persisted since 1995, when he finally started to feel numbness in his fingers. the surgery went fine, thank goodness. hopefully he will recover completely and it doesn't affect his piano playing. as for drums...don't forget your neck braces everytime you drums, yochan!
etc: read below xD i've made too many layouts featuring Yoshiki i don't wish to repeat myself =P
Background: formed in 2007 by founding member Kamijo (ex Lareine) and Hizaki (ex Sulfuric Acid), they released their debut single Revenant Choir which tells a story about a clan. Just as like Kamijo's past works, Versailles tells a story through their symphonic metal music and extravagantly elaborate costumes inspired from antique European era.
Members: Kamijo (vocals), Hizaki (guitar), Teru (guitar), Jasmine-You (bass), Yuki (drums)
etc: Versailles beautiful music managed to win my heart totally. saddened by the loss of Jasmine-YOU in 2009, but i hope the 4 of them will still make great music from now onwards. rest in peace, Jasmine-YOU, and watch out for the guys from up there...
Background: Formed in 2007, performed first during Anime Expo at the States in May.
Members: Yoshiki (drums, piano, guitar), Gackt (vocal, piano), Sugizo (guitar, violin), Miyavi (guitar, shamisen)
etc: ekkusu phase 2.0 was lost because i didn't save it in photobucket (because it refused to upload it properly). and so, from now i'll start my skin from phase .1 instead of .0
Featuring: Hiruma Youichi
Model's background: manga character (Eyeshield 21)
More about the model: quarterback of Deimon Devilbats, The Commander From Hell; the backbone and the brain behind Deimon High School's American Football Club, The Deimon Devilbats.
Icons: various facial expressions of Hiruma, the maniacal, elven-faced leader of Devilbats ^^
Etc: Eyeshield 21 is a sports manga about American Football and it's one of my current favourite. My rating for them is:
intellectual level: 9/10
Featuring: Hayashi Yoshiki
Model's background: leader, drummer, pianist, main composer of legendary band X Japan (1982-1997); leader, drummer, pianist, guitarist, composer of band Violet UK, debut coming soon.
More about the model: Yoshiki in the early X Japan era in early 90's when he still has long curly locks.
Etc: YOSHIKI IS MY HERO AND IDOL!
Featuring: Hayashi Yoshiki
Model's background: leader, drummer, pianist, main composer of legendary band X Japan (1982-1997); leader, drummer, pianist, guitarist, composer of band Violet UK, debut coming soon. Born in Tateyama, Chiba (Japan) in 20th November 1965 and currently living in Los Angeles, California (USA). Head company of Extasy Records, Extasy Japan and Extasy Records International (now defunct). http://myspace.com/yoshiki
More about the model: the faint background picture of Yoshiki was taken in the recent years when he's already cut his hair short and started the habit of wearing sunglasses.
Icons: pictures taken from Yoshiki's house in LA: his front door, piano in the middle room, dining room and swimming pool.
Etc: I can write essays on Yoshiki, but let's just keep it simple and straightforward: YOSHIKI IS MY HERO AND IDOL!
