chun's new hairstyle was just as messy, if not more, as his longer one =/ but it was cute when he tied it up (and obviously pinned it xD) into a minute ponytail ^^ i hope someone *glares at hairstylist* will nudge him often enough, from now til tokyo dome, to trim a little bit more. that bob looks really cute on him, but on stage, with all the dance routines that they have, it's not practical. chun has natural wave, and with sweat and vigorous movement, it's only a matter of time before he's looking like a dissheveled shih-tzu puppy after a shower =p Labels: tohoshinki
this person, i suppose she's a japanese who went to bangkok to watch the concert coz someone in the comm mentioned seeing a lot of Bigeast members coming *__* ii na... they've just finished their japanese tour, and soon they'll be back in tokyo for the tokyo dome tour, and these people still go out of their way, following them to bangkok to watch whatever they've been watching (or WILL be watching) in japan. awesome...
anyway, about this lady romiromi, i don't understand 90% of what she's saying (ugh i hate kanjis) but in that link, she posted so many close up pics of chun during the bangkok miroticonference. so many (and so close) until we can see all the moles on his face. and i'm surprised to see a ryotego-like mole on his upper left lip 0_0 if i'm not wrong yunho has one there too. so many guys with a mole there, what's going on?
i want to contact her, ask her permission to use one of her pic, but i don't know how to leave comment =p have to buck up on my japanese! -_- sensei, i'll contact you when i go back to indo!
i'm recovering from my flu. but i still try not to go out. or go swim. or that's just another excuse to reason out my laziness =p

i've not caught any forms of flu for months, and the first time i'm gonna get it is this year among the H1N1 scare, geez... well at least i got scared enough not to go to zouk today. really wanted to catch yumumu's show in wardrobe, but i guess i shall be a responsible citizen and "stay at home when you're feeling unwell" v__v Labels: tohoshinki
had met up with vel earlier on tho, when i thought that i was well enough to go out. haha, was having ridiculous talk with her regarding our own idols, much like when i went crazy on nata over NEWS. too bad obachan hasn't caught the tvxq-bug yet =p
we were saying how scary it is to be idols. i told her, as of 7pm just now, that most probably the boys were still on plane, or else just arrived in bangkok for their miroticon press conference. coz just a few hours before, pics of the boys at incheon airport had surfaced. what did i say yesterday regarding dbsk being bad runaways?
and, to further emphasise my point in prev paragraph, as of now, just barely a few hours after the conference, we know that yoochunnie had *bloody finally* got rid of his long hair and was seen sporting a new hairstyle. no, let me rephrase that. he got a new hairstyle, though it's unconfirmed if he had chopped off his shoulder-length hair or not. he looked oh-so-good! radiant skin and flushed lips and all. it's like he's finally back to our good-looking yoochun again after weeks of hiding behind his, uhm, questionable hairstyle xD
in fact everyone looked really good for the conference
tho i admit that my attention was stolen by jaechunsu. jae was wearing an obscenely low-necked top we could take a free peep on his cleavage 0_0 but he looked so cool with those glasses. changmin has tego-style (read: skulls!) scarves on him. yunho's proudly showing off his massive arms. and junsu's looking as adorable as usual. or maybe it's because of the accessories that happened to be sitting to his left xD lol, honestly chun looked so cute i can't tear my eyes away from him *___*
see the kind of accuracy that i can provide you of something that happens thousands of miles away just barely a few hours ago? fame is a scary thing. and the internet too. yep.
will be waiting impatiently for bangkok miroticon and, of course, Tokyo Dome tour.

teeheeheehee~ Labels: yoochun
*_____* jaejoong can boast his waist and biceps, yunho can boast his chest, junsu can boast his butt, changmin can boast his height, but yoochun still has the sexiest clavicles *_* and fans agree *_* i don't think it's something that you can train, yea? gratz yoochunnie~
they were inside a van and they were presented with 5 girls which they picked, stripped and dressed... Labels: tohoshinki
and subsequently named xD
meet Maya (changmin's), JooLiang (junsu's), JiYool (yunho's), YooRim (yoochun's) and Ee-Bbeun-ee (jaejoong's). please don't mind that Maya is copying off Devil Wears Prada look, or that JooLiang is having a hangover and was lying on the table most of the time, or that Jiyool is wearing jeans underneath her poofy knee-length white dress (yunho, you're too conservative!!! xD), or that YooRim was the first to be stripped off her clothes, or that Ee-BBeun-ee's name is so difficult to pronounce (at least for me! xD)
i'm terribly disappointed.
never before have i received a CD (or a SERIES OF CDs in this case) that disappoint me so much i dread to start listening to it.
i'm gonna be licking my own spit or whatever the idiom is, but the Ascendead Master series is NOT up to what i expected of them. definitely NOT up to what i expected.
NOT when the additional song in each single is just a fucking 1 minute anf 45seconds long!
i have a good intention to go to myspace and just rant on them for making easy money out of fans. in fact my myspace page is open now.
but i thought i'll give them a chance and listen to all of the songs first before start flaming them.
then again, it's hard! coz i'm just so terribly disappointed!
Ascendead Master is a great song, no doubt about that. but i don't think that it's worth 75bucks.
so disappointed. Versailles had let me down for the first time. tis sad.
heh... Labels: big bang
i admit that i don't know a thing about Big Bang, other than the fact that they're korean, they're a boyband, and it seemed like they've broken into US. and that some of their members are rivalling TVXQ's popularity in korean community sites (GDragon and T.O.P. in particular)
vel said that they're really good, and they're about tvxq's age too,and some younger.
not that i was interested to research on them. but when i was watching tvxq's Purple Line rehearsal clip (i think they were saying that it's the initial dancing clip, which would be sent to SM entertainment for approval before they make the MVs and everything), youtube, being an evil website that it is, provided me with a link to one of their clip with Wonder Girls called Tell Me. that clip, in particular, didn't interest me. but it provided me with another row of links. one of them was this
0_0 i don't claim to know much about dancing, and i'm not into hiphop music in particular (bordering dislike), but i know that they dance really well. especially the guy in black sweater... and i don't know who he is.
then, i clicked on another link.
smooth. really smooth. the guy in the hat, that's G-Dragon, no? i don't like rapping, but i like his style and movement. sleek and precise. really cool.
several clicks into their other songs later, i realised that me and big bang might not have a future together. too many raps; their music style is too american/western/hiphop/r&b-ish, something that i escaped from when i started listening to jrock 7 years ago =p i picked up some really nice voices though =) when i was listening to Haru Haru, there's a voice that rang clear at high note like yoochun's voice. now if only i can listen to something that is more ballad-ish or mainstream asian-ish that can really pull me into their voices...

>_<> if you thought that me and my hobby to buy CDs online through several merchant-sites (cdjapan, hmvjapan, amazon, yesasia) will one day result in multiple orders of the same thing... Labels: versailles
...you're right!! >_<>
geez... i was hopping to cdjapan every few hours for the past few days to check if they've finally shipped my CDs, and ALL the while forgetting (in fact i didn't even realise!!!) that i've placed the same order through hmvjapan.
and imagine my horror when i checked my yahoo mailbox just now just to read the notification that, yes, my orders had been despatched.
i quickly went to cancel my order at cdjapan -______- which is sad, coz through hmvjapan i only bought the 3 limited edition ones, and through cdjapan i actually ordered all 4 versions of Ascendead Master (the 3 limited edition plus regular edition). now i have to settle with NOT having the regular edition...
...but that is IF cdjapan decided to approve my cancellation! -___- if not, you'll see me advertising my CDs in online forums, see if anyone would like to buy my extra copies -___- sighs...
oh. btw i'm not surprised to see the PV of the single already been leaked to youtube -___-
what surprised me, though, was the discussion that ensued in one of the links. why, they're comparing my 2 favourite band of all time, X Japan and Versailles.
and the discussion is not going in a good direction.
now, i've been listening to X Japan for 7 years, and Silent Jealousy had been my favourite song ever since. but never before have i thought that Revenant Choir is a rip-off of Silent Jealousy. never.
surely both songs share similar qualities, and that could be why i was so attracted to both bands in the first place. they're play hard rock music but with enchantingly beautiful and melodious quality at the same time, with romantic ambience hanging at the background of the banging drums and insanely-fast riffs of guitars.
unlike many other jrock bands, Versailles and X Japan music does not only speaks of defiance and denial, rebellion and anger; instead, at the core of their music, X Japan and Versailles music conceals beauty and sadness, sorrow and hope, love and despair. and YET, essentially, they are different! very different, because they're the result of different brilliant minds! the essence of Yoshiki oozes at majority of X Japan songs, including Silent Jealousy which plainly screams his name at every note. the aesthethics of Versailles, however, centered in Kamijo. no matter how much i want to say that hizaki and teru are both responsible in the composition of versailles' music, at the end of the day it's quite plain to see that it's Kamijo's aesthetic that Versailles are pursuing.
to even hint that Versailles's music is similar to X Japan is like an insult to Kamijo! AND Hizaki and Teru! those people should be referred to Kamijo's previous brainchild, Lareine, so that they could see for themselves the precursor of Versailles, the music that he has been creating in that story-telling style of his. and how Versailles in the present day is a result of his evolving style plus the influence of Hizaki and Teru's tendencies towards neo-symphonic and dark metal music.
.... *glazed eyes* ....
oh sorry... i had just given in to temptation and listened to Ascendead Master from youtube... i should've kicked myself in the shin for not waiting until my copies arrived... but i can't... not when i'm so overwhelmed with the song to care about the quality of the audio.
i hate Versailles for making me spent a bomb on their mini *friggin MINI!* album and NOT regretful of doing it... i hate them for making such amazingly epic music and for brainwashing me to believe that their music is worth the 75bucks i spent on a measly 4 songs! hate them!! i hate them for making me unable to hate them!!!!! >____________________________<>
Ascendead Master is epic. like seriously. it was like Love From A Dead Orchestra. like Aristrocat's Symphony. a major epic. i'm not even using the word "epic" correctly, (but in some way Versailles IS telling a continuous story of
unheroic deeds xD) but i'm just lacking the vocabulary to describe them properly...
btw, when i was listening, i wasn't watching the video 0_0 when i'm listening to music, there's this part of me that refuses to be swayed by what i see, and so, to remove the temptation to let whatever i see affects my feelings towards what i hear, i have the tendency to shut my eyes and listen. i don't know how the video went, but it doesn't matter. what matter is that the music is amazing and that's the most important thing.
watch it before it gets taken out
Versailles Philharmonic Quintet - Ascendead Master
last time, months ago, i mused about what a tough life idols must be going through. i was talking in the context of idols who went to school/uni and, in particular, in NEWS context. that was before knowing tvxq.
after knowing them, i thought: shyt, i won't allow my children to be idols.
today, my focus is on the attention that they get in airports.
tvxq will make bad, really really bad, runaways: it always seem that whenever they step their foot on airport, papa-pics will show up. they will NOT get out of a country (or getting into it, in this case) without having their fans know about it.
as of today, for example, yunho, changmin and junsu had stepped onto korea, arriving at gimpo airport. why i know this? coz there's photo evidence of it. bear in mind that TODAY is 25th june, and TODAY has not ended, and we got to know that TODAY dbsk's back in korea. which means that within hours of stepping foot into their homeland, fans across the net got to know about it, along with the information that the next day they will be flying off to bangkok for a press conference, and following that will be their Miroticon in bangkok on the 28th june.
that's quite scary, isn't it?
i disapprove of papparrazzi (or however you spell it) but in tvxq fandom, it seems like taking papa-pics is an acceptable behaviour... which what made it even scarier than johnnys-fandom...
days ago, newshfan subbed a video about morimoto (that baby HSJ-er) and his stalker. he was stalked by a 17-yr-old fanboy for quite long (and the fandom know about this fanboy!) and refused to let morimoto alone even after they met to talk about it, followed morimoto home and snatched his phone away when morimoto called his mom for help. soon after, he was caught and arrested.
of course, morimoto is still very young, he's what, barely 14? but regardless of age, i think having a stalker will be a very scary experience, not to mention frustrating.
the news followed up on what are acceptable behaviour and NOT acceptable behaviour for fans, which is quite interesting to know. the newscaster also commented that majority of johnnys fans are very well behaved.
could be one of the reasons why some fans want tvxq to stay in japan instead of going back to korea. unfair to the korean fans, of course. but some of them believed that it's for the guys' best interest.
fame has a hefty pricetag, huh.
ps: i'm impatiently waiting for the indicator in my cdjapan account page to change from "not yet shipped" to "already shipped"...... i want to listen to Ascendead Master really badly!!
was just watching their performance in 2005, Rising Sun, in which jaejoong was sitting on a chair behind everyone else while they sing and dance, and the PV also doesn't show jaejoong dancing? Labels: tohoshinki
and then was watching their a-nation interview, couldnt remember when, and they said that yunho couldn't join them for the previous year's a-nation because of injury but this time he could.
and this year junsu wasn't able to join their earlier leg of japan tour because he injured his leg.
please be more careful while you rehearse and perform, guys...

...are, seriously, the hilarious-est of the 5.
yunho's a bit too serious/gentleman/cool to be naturally crazy and changmin's a bit too young/junior/clever/sharp to be naturally funny.
junsu is the official oyaji-gag-leader and laughter-maker of the group. yoochun, with his kindness towards junsu's antics plus his own style of dorkiness, was titled the mood-maker. jaejoong is just slowly showing more of his real self on/off stage/camera and that means a natural klutz who simply says wrong things at the wrong time.
so what do we get when we have jaechunsu together without anyone to dampen their childish-tendencies?
gossip boys! xD credits: whisperpuppies, ho_snaaap
oh boys... when i was listening to the raw yesterday in youtube, i wished i wished i wished that someone would sub it soon, coz i didn't understand what they were talking about (except the ringo mikan part) but i was already giggling and laughing. they just sound so mischiveous! especially when they started "talking behind yunho's back" O-M-G ROFLOL! silly guys xDDD

i don't even remember it, except that i started blogging way before obachan and lin started blogging too.
i think it should be quite soon after i got to know x japan and yoshiki. which was in 2002. so, roughly about... 7 years now?
wow, that's pretty long, huh?
if anyone remembers, i've had 2 blogs before coming to blogspot.
my first blog was at http://arsenalx.blogdrive.com
the password is "cool" by the way.
that was when i was still in st marg's and PJC. manz, so nostalgic. i think i blogged about my sweetest time in PJC there.
when i went to SA, i created myself another blog, called http://hanaatsajc.blogdrive.com. and i stayed there til i moved on to blogspot, here, and started learning html to create my own blogskin. my whole time in lasalle is spent here.
sometimes i like to go back and take a look at my own history. what did i write several years ago at this very date.
this time, i went back to do something different.
well, you see, i remembered knowing TRAX years and years ago because of the buzz that Yoshiki was going to be producing it, regardless the fact that it's a korean rock band. at that time, i was waiting for VUK to debut, and i still believed yochan's story that he's gonna release VUK debut stuff soon. *it's now 7 years down the road and i've actually given up hope on seeing a Violet UK debut album anytime soon* and i checked back on my history to see that the first time i talked about TRAX was on 4th november 2004 (pata's 39th birthday!!). i included a link to sanspo about yoshiki and trax. and subsequently, i blogged a few times as i grow fond of the drummer, Rose, who's so pretty and cool behind the drums just like yochan. in this post in particular, i was comparing both Yochan and Rose's facial features, lol!
and, you know what, during that period of time, if fate would have it, i COULD have stumbled upon tvxq, coz exactly a month after that, DBSK performed TriAngle, which was a collab between DBSK, BoA and TRAX.
the hair, oh goodness the hair xDDD everytime i look at their hair in TriAngle, i laugh xD and everytime i look at their outfit for this performance, all those face paints and body paints, i laugh even harder xDDD they're like jumping out of some shonen animes!! and those hair look real! xD well at least for me they look real, lol... i know they're not, tho, coz barely a month before that they were performing Miduhyo with normal hair =p
yeah, i just wanted to muse about how funny life is. the korean rock band that i paid attention to 5 years ago was actually collaborating with the singing group that i'm liking right now, 5 years down the road. when i was watching the video, i felt really weird. like... seeing an old friend performing together with new friends.
i was watching TVXQ members for the first time (in that performance) but when i saw the back of Rose's head, i was like, "hellow, Rose, long time no see!", you know, it felt...nostalgic somewhat? initially it was like, "okay let's watch TVXQ during this time, just a year after their debut. oh hello, junsu, omg what happened to your hair?? wow, jaejoong, your hair's awesome. oh dear, changmin, are you a dragonball? yunho, someone played a prank on you while you're asleep and drew on your face! yoochun, as natural and hot as you could be in such a weird getup, you go boy!"
and when i saw TRAX i was like, "...yo, Rose, long time no see! i've not seen you since you guys debuted under Yoshiki's wing in Japan, i missed watching you drum! i see you're performing a new song, not Scorpio, not Paradox. and i see you're with tvxq. oh wait, you mean you know each other?????? i've known you for 5 years, Rose, and i don't know that you have any relationship with TVXQ..."
it's funny coz now, 5 years later, i know that TVXQ is the one that's growing bigger while TRAX lost Rose and i don't know what the heck is happening to them now. it's funny coz while i only started to learn about SM entertainment (that it exists!) like in the past 3 months, i've actually, unknowingly, went pretty deep into one of their artists 5 years ago, The TRAX. it's funny coz i really almost forgotten about them, and i really thought that TVXQ is the FIRST korean artists whom i admire; i forgot that once upon a time, 5 years ago, i battled down my racism-tendency just so that i can support yochan in whatever he's doing, and that for that short period of time, i supported k-music. all for the sake of supporting yoshiki.
when i ditched my dislike towards k-music for tvxq's sake and started to embrace the genre, i thought that i was venturing into new water. really didn't expect that in my exploration i'd meet an old friend from 5 years back to whom i could say, "well hellow~ how have you been these 5 years??"
life is so funny sometimes.
i missed TRAX... i miss Rose. this song is SO yoshiki! every beat of it screams "YOCHAN!!!"
though the song that i really miss the most is Paradox.
gyahh i missed you Rose! where are you now? are you still drumming now, or have you switched to guitar? do you still have platinum-blonde hair like this? do you still scream like as though your throat doesn't hurt? -_- just where the heck are you now???
...is to direct me to important songs that has a dance routine attached to it.
due to the fact that tvxq only released albums in korea, i don't know which of their korean songs have a dance routine and MV attached to them. i really want to watch them all coz, as much as i love listening to their voices, i also like to watch them dance. and because their dance songs usually don't portray their beautiful singing as much as ballads, they tend to be fogotten *read: skipped forward!* in my ipod list, oops...
but that's where fanreports come in useful. fans would highlight a certain performance and i would get intrigued to look out for the MV for that particular song.
for example, a few weeks ago someone was saying that Wrong Number has a dance routine that is, erhm, hot. i couldn't remember how she put it into sentence, but i was intrigued enough to look out this song's performance. i know the song, and i remember not liking to listen to it, oops...
and just recently, sevenkai made a fanreports whereby they (i suppose that the blog is managed by 2 girls) mentioned The Way You Are and, in particular, highlighted yoochun's "spirit fingers" (or the lack of it xD).
so i went to look for this performance, The Way You Are, which i don't recognise, i tell you -__-
i said thatmy favourite dance is xiah. and usually i find it quite easy to tear my attention away from yoochun during dance number and fixed it on hosu instead. but in this performance, the star (imo) is yoochun.
it could be because he's the only one wearing tank tops and showing his broad shoulders and making the others look significantly smaller. or maybe because junsu was in his cutie-kitten phase (just take a look at that HAIR! and that FACE! *glomps junsu*) instead of the charismatic-dancer persona that he developed later, or because jaejoong was in his jrocker-wannabe phase and looking more pretty than cool, or because changming was looking too bloody young to look cool in such dance routine...but, yea, my attention was for yoochun and for yoochun only. i think he suits this kind of dance routines the most, he looked the most natural and comfortable in it.
this is the japanese version in which they sang live and significantly much later than the above MV. judging by jaejoong's hair, i think this might be around O.jung.bang.hap's time. for the "spirit fingers" mentioned, pay attention to 2:01 onwards.
i agree with sevenkai, yoochun does look fierce. intense. whatever. i mean, compare his spirit fingers with the rest (just compare with jaejoong for once and see the difference xD). in this vid, finally yunho captured my attention. because of his grey velvet jacket that looks awesome on him. in fact, i love all the boys' jackets. my gaze went to chun's one, of course, it being the only maroon red. i love red.
on a side note, me, ning, vel and yunn went to send rachel off to the airport just now. quite surprisingly (or maybe not) we were talking about korean fandom most of the time xD ning has "sidetracked" from gu jung pyo after she found out that the hanazawa rui actor is actually very funny in real life, and i think she had been converted xD yay! no longer gu jun pyo gu jun pyo everywhere! xDDD
at one point i was telling her that i don't know why i like any idol in particular, and i was talking about chun, of course. obachan's question is still echoing at the back of my mind. "why jaejoong's not number 1?" -___- chun's not the best singer, he's voice is not the most beautiful, he definitely is not the best looking, he's not even the funniest, or the kindest. he's the most sentimental and sensitive one tho, the one who cries in events the most, and, if i dare say it, the sleaziest and the one who emits the most playboy aura.
where am i going with this? o.o
*forgot what she wants to talk about initially*
we sent rache off the airport. after blogging my last entry, i went to school to clear up my space and met AH. i was rather taken aback when he started asking about incubator stuff, how i was planning my stuff and everything, and i felt really touched that he even cared to ask, and even proceeded to advise me (us, with veli) with a lot of things, providing us things to think about. it's really nice of him. really, i've never felt the gratitude of having so many nice lecturers until i'm in BA.
from school, we took cab to the airport and met ning. we sat at terminal 3's popeyes for about an hour just talking, i think, before we went to get our food xD the discussion was, mostly, about korean fandom and how, through observation, we realised that me and ning had overtaken veli in terms of things that we know about our idols xD i mean, she's the one who brought us into the world of k-fandom, but she remains the jack of all trades while we've proceeded to master (atleast) one xDDD so funny!
vel had to leave to take her stuff from elle and the three of us shopped for something to give to rache. we bought her a notebook which she could use during her 2 months in NY and we wrote messages at the back of it ^__^ i wrote veli's message for her coz she wasn't there. she dictated what to write through the phone and i wrote it down lol! joyce had called us to say that they were going to eat at popeyes at terminal 1, and that was before we started writing our messages. then when we finished writing and was slowly walking back to the sky train to go to terminal 1, they called and saying that they're going in.
GOODNESS! xDDD we started running from then. it was so drama, we were running about half the length of terminal 3, all the way til the sky train, and when we reached terminal 1 we started running again til we found rache. it's just, so, drama-like xD
after they went in, we went to killiney and get some drinks. and resumed our k-fandom discussion among many other things xDDD
if you ask me 3 months ago, i wouldn't dream that i would be having such conversation. with ning some more, someone whom, i know, is not into fandom culture. well technically she's not, yet, but who knows in the future xD

so. yesterday i had a date with dira. well actually i was trying to pull more people to join our date, coz it's ktv date, but veli just refused to be roped in (come on vel, it's just dira!) and hari's off with sore throat (met him on the train actually, and he was contemplating to go with us =p) and obachan's back in indo. which means, our usually-four ktv group is now reduced to *drumrolls* TWO! how sad, isn't it?
...not! =P we went to check out this place called Top One KTV in bugis. a few weeks back, someone in the dbsg comm asked about karaoke place in sg that has dbsk's songs and we were throwing her some ktv places, and this person suggested top one ktv. she said (oh dear i have to stop assuming everyone in the fandom comm to be a "she" -.-) that the place has a decent number of japanese songs and has tvxq's songs up to O album.
so, disregarding dira's tendency towards cash studio, i convinced her that we have to try out this place. for one, i'm curious. so far i've only known karaoke places such as ktv party world and kbox, both have quite limited amount of japanese songs. for another, i have to see for myself the kind of tvxq's songs that they have and see if i can pull vel into coming with me (read: i need romaji-nised lyrics!).
and furthermore, it'll be really cool if it also has a decent english database on top of decent japanese database, coz it means that i can pull my k-ok-loving friends, who might not be able to read japanese, into going with me easier and we can both have a good time: me with the japanese databse, them with the english database, instead of me sacrificing myself by going kbox or them sacrificing themselves by going cash studio.
had promised to meet joyce (lui) to pass her rache's polaroid at 7 in novena, but we found out that top one only has place from 6pm onwards. that place has package system, it's like 11-6pm, and then 6-11pm. when i went there, it was about 2pm and everything's fully booked. so i decided to drop by joyce's working place and pass her the polaroid asap so that we can sing at night =)
right. while killing time to wait for 6pm to come, we went to watch Blood The Last Vampire. i've seen the advertisement of the anime in animax for a lot of times, but haven't actually gotten to watch it myself. and dira told me that it's an OVA (original video animation?), not adapted from any manga (well now they're making the manga, i suppose). so i thought that it would be good for me to catch the ral life movie first before going to the original anime, after all the original ones will always be better.
WARNING: MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR SPOILER FOR BLOOD THE LAST VAMPIRE MOVIE!!! read at your own risk!
i completely forgot about my allergy towards american-reproduced-anything-japanese.
i completely forgot that i was shrieking in horror when the rumour about hollywood version of real life movie of death note being made.
i completely forgot that i
hate hate hate hate dislike very much adaptation that does not match up the original standards, regardless it's anime or harry potter or whatever.
uhm. so. Blood, The Last Vampire. there's this period of time in the middle, when saya was talking to alice when i could HEAR myself yelling out loud in my brain at the every sentence they utter, answering their sentence with a sharply sarcastic
mock comment. everything is just simply ridiculous. their conversation is totally not believable, awkward in a really pathetic way! i got effing irritated by alice constant yelping that sounds half-hearted and *to my ears* act cute. my eyebrow raised in constant amusement (not!) at the action scenes. i was yawning and rolling my eyes at the fact that saya spent hundreds of years looking for onigen, only to have her being wounded by the mortal one within a few minutes. like OH PUHHLEEEEAASEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! save me from the horror!!!!!!!!!
the saving grace, imo, is the music. at least the music is decent. remember me saying that the music can make or break an anime/drama/movie? this time, the music is very much decent that i could sit through the whole ordeal. the CG tho.... okay before getting to the CG, let's shoot the action director first. like what the hell! you should like employ jackie chan to direct the action scenes or something, saya's fight is absolutely NOT believable to the very least! like ._0 reaction, you know. the CG is actually not bad, i found myself liking it somewhat. if only the actions doesn't distract me away from it too much -_-
at the end of the movie, dira was curling in her seat, and i asked her, "between 1-10, how horrible was it?" and she was reluctant to say, but she said, "can i rate it like a 3?" (i assume she misheard me and thought that i asked how good is it). i said, "so generous. i'd rate it a 1 or 0..."
okay so i was being too harsh. it doesn't deserve a 1, and definitely not 0. but it definitely won't rise above 5. in other words, don't bother catching it in cinemas. i've not watched the real anime, but i could already FEEL that they've managed to mangle it beyond recognition.
at the end of it, we listened to the music and dira was like, hey, is that Glay? and i was like, hey yea, that sounds a hell lot like Teru! and we sticked around reading the credits while the cleaners come and i read a whoooooooooooooooooooole list of chinese names. and caucasian names. and maybe 3-4 japanese names. now everything becomes clear, ne. -_____- maybe i'm being very biased, prejudiced, racist, but i think people should stick to doing what their people are doing. hollywood flicks can not be produced outside hollywood. a chinese gong-fu movie will totally lost its essence if it's the japanese who does it. and, likewise, japanese production should be given to the japanese who'd know what they're doing.
oh look at the time. i gotta go to school and clear up my stuff. updates about top one KTV later!
i think i've found out why everyday i'm sleeping like early in the morning (like 4am/5am) reading fanfic and fanreports of tohoshinki's 4th tour in japan, which juuuuust ended coincidentally, and rechecking my lj every few minutes hoping that someone in my f-list or the comm would post something up for me to read.
i'm just hungry for something to read.
i need a book. like seriously.
now that tohoshinki's 4th tour had ended, i have nothing else to wait for, no new fanreports to hunt, no tohomobile entries to read, no random whose-item-is-this quizzes from the boys to guess... it's been short, too short! i remembered enjoying NEWS's looong NWPD tour last october to january, how every weekend meant that i could read a new fanreport. this tohoshinki tour is too short *pouts*
oh well. let's just cross our fingers that many people in the comm will be going for their tokyo dome debut concert, and that they will ALL write looooooong fanreports ^__^
but meanwhile, since the tour had ended, i predict a distinct decrease in activities in the comm from now on, and that means i'll get even lesser updates in my f-list. and that means that i'll need something to focus my mind on, other than my f-list updates. and that means a book.
come to think of it, i've not been reading a book for quite a long time. the last one being The Black Order, which was very fascinating with all its biological terms that crosses over with religious beliefs (to a small extent, tho) and mixed up with some action scenes in the snowy mountains of Himalaya and the hot desert of Africa. i started reading it after our hong kong trip, i guess, and haven't touched anything else after -___- well, no, i picked up The Innocent Man by john grisham, but got bored soon after he started going into details of the man's past...
me need a book!
and me thinks that me library card had just expired -______- this is the price to pay for not visiting the library for months on end...

until now i only know several songs as composed and written by the members, and mostly were soulmates' creations. i know junsu composed several songs too, i just couldn't remember which. Labels: tohoshinki
just now i was trying to compile their korean lyrics so that i can bring it to my next cash studio session, which is duno when, and then i realised that there are MORE songs that they composed, and it really quite surprised me coz i really like those songs too.
like, Holding Back The Tears. i really have no idea it's by yoochun O.O *salutes yoochun* i hope he composes more, i mean i hope the songs that he made will get featured in albums/singles more often. i love the songs he composed! Fox Rain, Kiss The Baby Sky, Kiss Shita Mama Sayonara, okay that last one was a collab with jaejoong, but still, i like them all! perhaps as i slowly archive all of their lyrics, i can find more songs that he composed. i care more about things that he composed than write, coz i don't listen so much to lyrics as much as i do melody, and his melody is beautiful...
TVXQ - Holding Back The Tears
today is such a HOT HOT HOT BLOODY HOT day. yeaps. i know when it's hot beyond normal because me, the usually cactus-like me who've adapted to live like the camels in the deserts and drink once in a blue moon, actually felt thristy the whole entire friggin day. and that doesn't happen often. today is just a friggin hot day >_<>
and after reading a whole entire looooooooooooooooong and awesome twilight-crossover-dbsg fic and re-watched bleach here and there and failing to start writing my own fic, i come here.
...and i wonder what to blog about.
see, i've managed to distance myself a little from tvxq for once, and the lack of presence of the boys in my life is threatening to push this blog into closing.
okay i'm just exaggerrating. coz there isn't much to write about. see?
and then i logged onto facebook.
a few days ago, while i was sitting in front of my comp and looking out of the balcony, staring at the *small part of* blue sky, visible from my glass windows, and watching the clouds drifting, wind blowing, earth moving and life changing, all the while when i was sitting motionless in front of the big fat monitor... i logged on to facebook and typed the first thing that came to my mind.
"..*me*.. is a stone sitting on the sidewalk of a busy interchange called life."
and just now, when i checked my fb again, faizah had written a comment on it.
"at least you are a stone, still willing to be firm with who you are and what you are... lets not be a feather, cos then u'd be blown aimlessly by the wind, too soft to hold anything and too insignificant to support even urself ....
say this out loud, " i am happy and grateful now that ..( fill in the blanks with anything u are grateful for )..."
this interchange of life, will change... the only constant, is change itself..."
and i couldn't help but smile =) such a thoughtful and deep comment on that impromptu little emo-line! so sweet of her to take the effort to comment on such silly shoutout.
sometimes i do things like that, sprout out random nonsense in my shoutout, usually when the poetic side of me decided to show up. like what i wrote at the aftermath of the fashion show, when everything was over and i was feeling a bit lost.
"..*me*..drags a chair, sits down at the junction of her life and sips tea while watching the cloud wafts by."
and, just like faizah, dear pearwee dropped me a sweet line:
"Lin sets up a hammock with twinings English
Breakfast tea in hand and a box of bittersweet chocolates nearby beside Hana. Imma gonna join you. Hugs"
aah, to have been blessed by wonderful friends in and out of cyber life =) not only friends whom i see everyday *or, used to see everyday*, but even those whom i'm not too close with are so sweet ^__^
it's true that i always thought of myself as a stone who just sits down there doing nothing and watching people come and go, things happen and events pass by, all the while i was trying to absorb things, learnt lesson, but unwilling to make a move myself. but it's also true that i never consider myself like a feather, drifting about here and there, coz i don't drift. i'm nailed fixed to where i am, with my dreams reaching the sky and my hopes growing bigger and larger everyday. i'm motionless, and i don't drift.
... at least..not that easily. i can get caught up by a persistent current forcing me to move a certain pathways. i don't usually regret it, coz by the end of the pathways, i might realised that, hey, this is not so bad after all, and continue on walking in that direction. or if not, i'd just be like, you know what, i really don't think i should be doing this, so let's just stop. but until the time comes when *snaps* yes! this is what i want!, i don't usually move willingly. i think ning and veli can attest to that.
just like a stone. stubborn.
i didn't used to think it's a good thing. but now i felt like, well, at least i'm not a feather =/
perhaps i'm just.... i just need a little time to see everything happening around me while i make up my mind of what i want to do. then, hopefully, the little stone will finally attached itself to something and move up or down the busy interchange called life, up or down where her dreams would taker her, or a persistent force would blow her.
perhaps one day the little stone will outgrow her stone-y shell and shed it off and get on with life as she should. as everyone should.
perhaps. one day.

i've been off school for quite a few weeks now and i still don't know how to tag my entries... coz i'm not working yet, and i'm not schooling yet, and this feels like a holiday but there's this not-so-holiday-ish feel also....
for the time being i'm going with "off-school" tag, tho it doesn't sound really right.
anyway. several things been happening since the last time i blogged proper (as in not fandom-related entries). we've been to jit's place for a BBQ. excellent food and company! her place is really nice, huge pools and bbq pit with a sink right next to it (i loooove the sink). faizah made some speech that really touched my heart. she said something like, she had dined with millionaires and with them she learnt how to make a living, but during her several weeks with us, she learnt how to live. awwww *__* she's just so sweet. then she proceeded to mention what she learnt from each and everyone of us, but i could only clearly remember mine, coz she said, "i don't know how she does it, sometimes it looks like she's just sitting down there listening to her music..." to which i almost choke on my drinks in laughter, "but at the end she gets her things done" =) cheers! ^__^
she already felt like one of the BAs, really. during several times of 'crises', like when the machine poked a needle through dani's fingers, she had proven herself as someone whom we can rely on. i mean, we were almost a nervous wreck by that time, several days prior to assessment, and most probably we would throw ourselves into panic. but she was there and she tended to dani's wound and handled everything calmly and reassured her that everything's fine. or when dydy was trapped in his house, scared that there's some stalker outside the house, and she went off with amot to "rescue" him. or when she went out of her way to buy some really nice ice-cream for us. okay that last one was not a crisis, but she's been staying so close to us it feels like she's one of us. hana's one lucky girl. i'll miss having the secure feeling when she's around, like there's someone whom you can depend on if trouble arises, and even her daily, "good afternoon, designers!" when she visits .__.
anyway, we digress from the bbq report. jit's husband made some really nice marguarita, or whatever else he made later on, they're yummylicious! and lionel was very happy xD i don't know what made me do it, but i kinda
joined listened to their conversation for some time. perhaps i was subconsciously avoiding the chat by the pool which (i know for bloody sure) revolved around gu jun pyo, or that domyouji tsukasa korean version. they're still psycho-ing ppl to watch boys over flowers everytime i met them O_O jit's son, whose name is so hard to remember especially to me who don't remember names really well, seems like a really nice and pleasant kid, not to mention very intellectual for someone his age =) jit must be really proud of him. and her husband's is also a really nice person to talk to. that's what i found while listening to him and lionel conversing. as usual i like to listen, but don't take part in the conversation so much =p
some days after that we had farewell lunch in marche. eh... not so many things to say about this lunch xD next time, maybe, we should shuffle our sitting position so that the whole class can bond together better =) the food was great tho. i've not been in marche for duno how long, i think the last time i went there was with PJC Jawry mates? goodness knows where are they now xDDD
people are going off. i know it's gonna be hard for us to graduate after such a wonderful year in BA, especially considering that more than half of our class is made up of foreigners (only ning, berns, rache, marsita, and hana are local students, and even rache wasn't used to be singaporean)... i've known this fact for the longest time, but it never really dawn on me that, since we come from different places, bonded by this BAFD, after it's all over, people will go back their respective places, or simply off to find their dreams. ok perhaps it's not permanent, but they're going off soon after fashion show, before they settle down somewhere to start working. rache's going to NY, mars already in UK, alice just went off to indo, after which she'd be flying to melb, sonali's already back in india, dim's and ami's going back to srilanka soon, berns going to hk for holiday and, possibly, work... (that doesn't seem much but taht's like HALF of our small class)
and me and several others are here, trying to make a vacation plan together but it's going nowhere coz of several reasons... trying to prolong our stay together by trying to commit to the same project, competition...
... but it just gets wider, isn't it, the gap? it's like as though last time we were enclosed inside a ball of yarn, closely knitted, high tension created from period of times spent together at close proximity; shielded from the outside world, we were in our own utopia that is the studio. and after assessment and fashion show, outside forces came peeking into our world, peeking and picking people, offering opportunities, and we started peeking outside into the world, wriggling free of the ball of yarns, chasing our own rays of dreams, hopes, obligations... and all those activities, outward and inward peeking and picking and leaving, it creates gaping holes, the inactivities and the period of time spent away from each other loosened the tension of the yarns. the ball of yarns is now loosely wrapped, almost unravelled, steadily degenerating everyday.
..just like the aftermath of PJC's second orientation in 2004. O2 was so tightly knitted together by our preparation for the second orientation, and even though i was in SA, i went back to PJ everyday to help out, coz there was where my heart belonged. the climax was on the day of the orientation itself. we didn't want to go home. we dragged out groups until outside, singing, sitting down in circle, crying, sharing stories, taking pics, walked some more towards the gate, mingling while talking, taking pics, laughing... i could still see the sceneries flashing by in front of my eyes.
perhaps all sweet memories are made like such. from memorable scenes deeply burnt into the back of our eyes, and everyday, slowly but steadily, it lost its focus, until one day what's left are the most important and touching scenes, permanently etched in a corner of our heart, blurred and faded, but that's what made it fascinatingly beautiful, coz whatever's ugly has faded, leaving only the sweetest and most precious memory behind.

ugh... i don't even understand what is it about... but sometime ago we saw changmin at #67. (credit: ichigoKJJ@YT, dnbn)
then jaejoong at #50. (credit: ichigoKJJ@YT, dnbn)
and then yoochun at #27. (credit: farahmicky@YT, dnbn)
it seems like they're revealing things slowly every week? day? i'm not sure. but junsu and yunho haven't made an appearance... perhaps they will be higher up on the list? =) coz junsu is effing popular in korea, i don't believe he's not on the list.
but anyway congratz to soulmate-soulfighter xD i know i'm congratulating jae twice but it's his fault for standing in the middle and for having these 2 catchy nicknames attached to him xD
uhm. i don't remember explaining about the pairing nicknames in full so i'll just do it briefly, ne. other than yunjae, i think the formula for their pairing nickname is derived from older member member + younger member name.
jaejoong-yunho - yunjae / jaeho
jaejoong-yoochun - soulmate (i don't think they themselves know why they're called soulmate instead of room mates, but i think it has something to do with their tattoos)
jaejoong-junsu - jaesu
jaejoong-changmin - soulfighter (they fight a lot xD)
yunho-yoochun - 2U / hochun / yoonho / yunchun / (they themselves DEFINITELY didn't know why they're called 2U, and neither do i xDDD)
yunho-junsu - hosu
yunho-changmin - homin
yoochun-junsu - yoosu
yoochun-changmin - yoomin / KISS (i mentioned this before, micky-max => mi-kKI+ma-kku-SU => kisu => KISS)
junsu-changmin - ximin (xiah+changmin)
talking about list, after getting into the fandom, other than joining the essential dbsg community, i've joined and watched several soulmate-related comms, and i enjoyed having a random soulmate gif or screencap or paparazzi pics everyday, like one or two, or a new fic at some random days. besides that, i befriended my fave fic writers just so that i can get their updates asap.
then i discovered this really, really active and pretty huge dbsg-fanwork comm called hug______(duno how many underscores are there xDD) and i thought that, hey, instead of just having ONE or TWO pics of fic a day, why not more? so i joined it.
i thought i was being clever. but, soon after i watched it, i realised that oh my goodness my f-list page is flooded with fanworks! like, there would be about 5 or more works everyday? and add that to my earlier subscriptions to other communities, and communities OTHER than tvxq's.... soon i was having a headache trying to differentiate a news entry or a fanwork entry, tvxq related or NEWS related, or arashi related...
today i gave up. i couldn't take it any longer. well, at least i know where i should go if i want to read fics. but i can't have them in my f-list anymore. the fans there are too active LOL xDD and i'm re-browsing my f-list from afew days back and i realised (as expected) that i've missed quite a few important updates.
like this for example: u-know at number 1: top singers who look good in suits.
banzai leader-sshi ^^ tho i really think that all guys look awesome in suits. and in thsk in particular, i LOVE seeing jaejoong in a suit. broad shoulder + narrow waist + that face = <3

i'm like a stone lying at the sidewalk of a busy street. everyday the sun goes up, goes down, the moon rises and sets, and all i want to do is watch the cloud wafts by. i'm contented in life. i dream big, far and beyond. and i believe those are just dreams. something that perhaps i can achieve, somehow, somewhere. it's almost as though i believe that i have 2 lives, and i'm saving the best of everything for the life after.
the english definition for it is: apathy.
the layman definition of it is: lazy.
at the back of my mind, i know i have to change. "change! change! you can't continue doing this! come on, self, change!"
but the next sun appears and i'm back to the same ol' me. lying on the sidewalk doing nothing.
why is yoochun my number 1, why not jaejoong? omg that question is stuck in my head for days already >_<> obachan's fault!!! it's not easy coz soulmate are both really good and the rest of the members too. but i know that it's true, that chunnie's my number 1 fave, and i don't know why, and i can't shake the question off my head!
now i found myself forming an essay of answer in my head, slowly building up arguments, critical analysis of different aspect of the members, critically analyse my own personal taste...
i'd say that most of the time it's the voice. it's always the voice that made me come back to yoochun. since the first time i heard tvxq songs. of course variety show appearances and off-stage persona matters too after that (if not, jaejoong wouldn't be my number 2 and i'll be fighting with obachan over yunho coz we would be liking him for the same reason).
and his eyes. his, ever, mischivieously-twinkling eyes. his double-eyelid that can't be seen unless he's half-closing his eyes *lol!* his expressive eyes that recently has been losing its brilliance (he's looking tired recently)...
and his smile! his adorably sweet grins...
... while i'm writing, i'm watching the All About TVXQ Season 2's 5th DVD, their photoshoot filming, and omg omg omg Balloons period of time was THE, and i mean THE, THE utmost THE: CUTEST period of time the boys ever had! except for the 2 tallest boys who were looking bit shy and reserved in front of the camera, jaechunsu were like having the time of their life, they were brimming with cuteness!!! and it was amazing how they could have 2 different images in one bloody album O.Jung.Bang.Hap, the ever-so-cool O and the funny-adorable-cute Balloons
and, omg, remember the adorable-version of O when the boys were wearing their mascots and dancing to O? omg, that brilliant, BRILLIANT idea came from yoochun! xDDD why couldn't i suspect that earlier, considering his dorky nature and all crazy ideas??? but all the vid i've watched didn't have subtitles, so i didn't know that at the very beginning when yoochun stood up and said something, he was actually saying, "hey, let's dance to O while wearing this" xDDDD
there are so many highlights from this DVD! i think the freshest one is when the members were interviewed about being cheesy (read: act cute) and everyone kept saying that they themselves are not so cheesy and nominate others who (they think) are cheesier. basically everyone agrees that junsu's the cheesiest and changmin is NOT, tho xD the funniest was jaejoong's. "yoochun, he said he's not cheesy but basically he's just a big block of cheese. 50% of the things he does are cheesy" --> LOL!!! and when jaejoong was asked to be cheesy, and he asked
us the camera to keep looking at him without saying anything, i actually really stared into his eyes (through the monitor screen) and stared.... and i broke into hsyterical laughter about 3 seconds after XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
yoochun is very cute here. very cute. not to mention his hair is GOOD. have i registered how i LOVE his hair here? one of the rare times when he actually can show off his good looks instead of hiding it beneath long hair... yoochunnie, please cut your hair for the Tokyo DOme concert, onegaishimasu v__v
i got distracted from my original intention of blogging.
anyway. i don't know when i'll be ready out write my answer, but i know that i'm slowly preparing my materials. i've even asked for permission from one of the member in the community to quote her fan reports of tvxq con so that i can illustrate how chun's voice affect me xD manz, it sound so silly...
but i'll do it.
duno when tho.
random say of the day
you know that TVXQ has entered your system when:
3. after many months of reading and watching One Piece at your own pace (the manga's been around for 10 years already anyway), suddenly you have the urge to start catching up with the newest episodes just because the boys are singing the opening song, 2 different songs one after another! (the cover for We Are! and Share the World). really, what you want is not the anime itself but rather having the chance to listen to them everytime a new episode starts.

the newest PV for their single Tanabata Matsuri is out. it's only the short version tho.
i wonder if tegomasu is going to, ever, graduate from their cutie-innocent image...
i mean it's wonderful and all, and i don't think many johnnys would be able to carry such image (i mean johnnys, not the juniors) as well as they do...
... but given their voices, i wish they would undertake a more sophisticated song that would show off their vocal ability more v_v i'm being selfish but i have that much expectations from tegomasu v_v can't the management see that they have much more potential than just a relaxing, soothing, easy-go-lucky song like this...? the coupling song for this single, Hanamuke, shows off more of their vocal power than this, and, even then, i feel like tegomasu hasn't even shown half of what they can truly do.
i mean, we've seen them in Music Fair (some people claim that only those who are really good musically have been invited into the show, but i'm not too sure about the credibility of this info) and we've seen them doing covers for many other songs, like Kobukuro's famous Tsubomi, Yuzu's and several other songs, and we've listened to what they can do... so why a song like this as an official single?? why???
for anyone don't understand what i was talking about, watch this. this comprises tegomasu's part of the particular music fair performance, including collabs with COLOR. in particular, listen to min 2.07 onwards when they were singing Tsubomi.
honestly, the management could just tag along when tegomasu's out karaoke-ing, place a tape recorder in the room to record whatever songs they sang, and release that as a single, and i'll buy it.
when they released Ai Ai Gasa, i was already like, "....the song a bit boring... i wish they would attempt something harder". and now this... i regretted complaining for Ai Ai Gasa, coz this song is worse -__-
alright, if i were to be really positive and optimistic not to mention to be totally
blind/deaf bias FOR johnny's management, i guess these songs have their merits too. they're something that give off the very tegomasu-que feel: sweet, innocent, cute, pure... it's something that exudes a scene of white feathers floating against the soft sunlight, a serene atmosphere, totally devoid of evil and unhappiness. it's very tegomasu-ish, definitely. and it seems like it's the official theme and image of tegomasu.
... then again, the darker side of life is just as fascinating as the light. and i believe that faster-beat songs will be able to bring out more of what they can do, not to mention to be much more exciting. massu is a really good dancer, and tego too. it wouldn't hurt to give them O.Sei.Han.Go-ish song to sing, even if they would need 15 backdancers around while they dance... johnny has enough boys to spare 15 good boys to backdance for them, why not johnny? why not??
after knowing TVXQ, i feel like my expectations for tegomasu has risen even higher.
maybe because i secretly belive that they're the closest group to match TVXQ's vocal powers, though at the moment they're not giving me a shred of evidence that yes they can do it! *kicks johnny's management*
but *shrugs* there will be 2 other songs in the Tanabata Matsuri single, and there would be even more songs in their Tegomasu no Uta album so... i'm hoping that AT LEAST one of them would be contain a decent enough song that will make me happy... something that i can show off to my friends while saying, "listen, this group is in johnnys and they're this good!" . . . and i'm impatiently waiting for the full version of Kata Omoi Chiisana Koi, actually, the song that never got released even though it's being used as the ending song for Neo Angelique Abyss 2nd season.

look-wise, it's quite obvious that jaejoong win over yoochun. (smile-wise, tho, is debatable)
voice-wise they're on par with each other.
music-wise, too, is debatable, since both plays piano and both have composed several songs for the group.
dorkiness-wise, both are just as adorably dorky and hilarious.
but somehow yoochun's my number 1 instead of jaejoong.
just like yunho being the most popular dancer in tvxq...
...but my fave dancer is junsu.
i don't know why.
jaejoong is beyond adorable, i feel like squishing his cheek everytime he stood in front of the camera, proudly wanting to announce the next concert venue but forgetting its name and he stood with his eyes wide open, waiting for a clue to be given, and when it's given then he'd announce it happily and triumphantly like a lil kid, and laughed. Labels: jaejoong
you know his "hahaha" laughter with (usually) a hand on his mouth?
>_<> mecccccha kawaii >_<>
oh, why jaejoong is only my number 2?
very good question.
i haven't finished pondering over it yet xD
being in the world of fandom (whatever fandom it is) for so long had taught me that the process of converting people (to like your fave artist) is not as easy as letting them listen to your favourite piece of music from that particular artist. it's all about knowing your artist well enough and knowing the person you're going to convert well enough so that you can offer her the best choice of music that she would most probably like out of the whole range of music your artist had done.
which was why i was against of veli shoving mirotic and all sorts of other tvxq MVs under ning's nose, coz i don't know ning's music taste well enough to start recommending her songs. just a small step in the wrong direction can backfire your whole plan. i don't know about other people, but i'm the kind of person who can get turn off by a particular piece of music, and that music can make me hate the artist (if i happen NOT to know anything about that artist beforehand). so i always try to be very careful when it comes to song recommendation, especially if i'm trying to promote the artist to someone.
for example, let's take Versailles Philharmonic Quintet. for dirachan who listens to merry and buck tick, i have no qualms of letting her listen to the best epic songs of Versailles, Love From A Dead Orchestra and Aristrocrat's Symphony and Red carpet Day, those with really super-heavy sound, coz i know she can take it and she might like it. but, if i (in one of my delusional mode) try to let obachan listen to them, i would most probably pick Sympathia which is one of their softest-sounding song, and even then i'm not sure if she'd like it.
as for TVXQ. i've been thinking. in actual fact, i've been thinking about it all the time. even when i posted youtube links here, i've arranged them in such a way that the more important videos are shown first and slowly i'm introducing the more hardcore ones, expecting to receive some kind of comments that would give me more hints of what people might like and not like.
but i received no comments at all. since the start of me putting up youtube links to tvxq MV til now. zilch.
which means, obachan hasn't been watching properly ;_;
so sad lo...
she might've picked one or two, here and there, not following the sequence of what i put up. so, as a result, she didn't like what she see, but didn't tell me, and only recently that i realised that it hasn't reached her yet, my efforts.
SO. considering that our karaoke date is looming closer, and i don't want to be like some dumb goat singing tvxq songs in hyper mode all alone when nobody else has heard any of the songs before (actually i did it with dira the other day, and man, i felt weird...), it's time to put some serious action into this "introduction to tvxq" programme that i'm
forcing getting obachan to take =P
SO. this afternoon i called her. actually i was just going to ask her to send me the list of songs that she'd listened to, so that i can recommend her some more. but in the end i was directing her to the songs straight away, and she'd listen to them one by one straight away (with me on the other side of the line telling her whose voice happens to be singing at that particular time), and so on and so forth.
obachan complained that forever love is boring. oops, i have something to confess, i think that MOST tvxq songs are NOT catchy. in fact, NEWS songs are catchier (Hey!Say!JUMP's catchiest xD) and, yes, they invite people to sing along with them. but what catchiness they lack, they make up in terms of voice quality, something that i really look up upon. maybe it's because of this that i don't mind their so-so-bordering-boring songs coz they always sound so awesome singing it, and without realising it, i've grown to like the song. the impression that's being left behind is no longer "the song is so long but not catchy, a bit boring", instead it's "the song is so beautiful, and it's long enough for me to really absorb and enjoy everyone's voice". since X Japan days, i always like songs that around 5min++, coz usually they're the better ones if compared to shorter ones. but in jpop world, 4min songs are so rampant i've forgotten about my 5min-song-preference.
but the transition from catchy, bubble-gum jpop songs ala johnnys' groups to tvxq's serious ballads at one extreme to heavy dancing number at another extreme is not easy. not easy. which is why i was heaving a headache trying to decide HOW to break nata into tvxq. i mean, i've known her for quite some time now, 5-6 years? i dare say that i know the kind of songs she likes, and i know V6 songs well enough (i think...) to know the kind of nuance in a song that she might prefer. then again, all of these are just my guesses, which might be wrong. and even if i'm right, it's so hard to think of a tvxq song that matches the feeling of V6 songs -__-
and while i browsed through my song list, *snaps* i found it.
christmas songs! of course!! obachan loves christmas songs! and ME, myself, was so very much into their christmas gift album at one point, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town is still holding one of the highest playcount in my list. so, that was how i started introducing her to tvxq properly. through christmas songs. christmas songs in June. lol!
she loved Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, and the comment for The First Noel and Silen Night was not bad. and i tried a bit of luck and gave her Jesus Joy of Man Desire, which was very, VERY short (only 2 lines!) but shows off their harmonising ability really well. so far so good.
then, she remembered a song that she likes, Love In The Ice! heyy, that's a great song, and a really demanding one, the predecessor of Bolero, i might add, and among veli's fave too, i think. thus, i know that she can stand their serious, emotional performances, so next i chose Sennen Koi no Uta, a really really sad, seriosuly sorrowful song. (she asked to listen to japanese songs first before i intro her to the korean ones). by this time, she had given enough comments, and seeing from the number of times she picked up jaejoong's voice unknowingly when she asked "whose voice is this?", i gathered that she's attracted by his voice. so, coming next was a fave of mine and a creation of jaejoong, Wasurenaide, and she likes it =)
following Wasurenaide was Heart, Mind, Soul, which is a really slow song but, imo, shows off their vocal ability really well. i was just trying my luck here, coz Heart Mind Soul can be quite boring if you don't pay attention to their voices and listen for the song only =p next. if i recommended jaejoong's creation, i can NOT not recommend yoochun's one, ne? so, next was Kiss The Baby Sky =p maksa xD after Kiss is the song that got me interested enough in TVXQ, Doushite Kimi wo Suki ni Natte Shimattandarou, heck such a long name. obachan said she'd watched it before. then, as an accompaniment and because i want her to listen to something more upbeat, i directed her to Box in the Ship.
then, i couldn't take it but to recommend her my current fave, Fox Rain, another yoochun's creation. and it's korean, and i started recommending korean songs from this point onwards xD after that, since she's been picking up jaejoong's voice even more often, i thought of letting her enjoy a whole song of jaejoong's voice, so i got her Footstep so that she can listen to jaejoong's heavenly voice.. loves it! yes! she likes Unforgettable too, but she was watching the chinese version from youtube xO i've never even HEARD of the chinese version of Unforgettable xD
then, i got a bit lost as to what else to recommend her, coz most of the songs that i think she'll like is up. so i started stabbing songs that i remember i like, like One (japanese version). then The STory Has Just Begun, You Only Love and White Lie followed up closely. at this point, i thought it's enough songs for one day. but obachan asked for Bolero. and to close it, i let her listen to Begin.
after that she asked me to direct her to their MVs. which. i kind of. reluctant to. coz, i don't really like their Mvs xD their MVs that i really like are all their dance numbers (O, Mirotic, Rising Sun, and even Triangle) but obachan had specifically said that she doesn't like "fleshy guys" and she even thumbed down yamapi's biceps -_- i can't bear to think what her reaction be if she watch Mirotic, with yunho and jaejoong dancing half-naked and junsu proudly showing off his biceps throughout the MV -_- and their non-dancing MVs are not so interesting, somewhat, i feel... or perhaps i'm just more interested in their voices than watching their pretty faces lip-sync-ing and looking cool while standing around doing nothing...
but anyway. later in the night, obachan sms-ed me saying that she had "decided" that she likes yunho (looks) and jaejoong (voice). heh. how come we both started off choosing 2 different people for 2 different reasons? xD me was yunho (looks) and yoochun (voice) which later on became yoochun (voice) and jaejoong (voice+looks+dorkiness) xDDD . . . so...is it safe for obachan to watch Mirotic yet? =P
i just realised that obachan picked the ever-so-famous-couple yunjae... O.O and she was wondering if "there's anything going on between them???" lol... fanservice, obachan, fanservice...
anyway, a question that obachan asked that i'm still pondering about was: why didn't i like jaejoong? "i thought jaejoong is like tegoshi" hmm, true, pretty face, beautiful voice, so why don't i like it?
"i do!!!!!! i like jaejoong!!!!!! he's my number 2!!!" i said.
"yea, like why he's not number 1??"
hmmm... it's a very interesting question.
i'll get back to you later for that xD

continuing watching All About TVXQ Season II Disc 4 - couple talk
after the important jaechunsu talks, the next that i watch was jaemin, the soulfighter. why soulfighter? coz they fight! physically! and i've witnessed their roughplaying more than once xD jaejoong said that he's being mentally/verbally abused by changmin, to which he replied with physical abuse xD and the way he (jaejoong) refers to himself as "very short and small frame" is so hilarious!!! xD i've been noticing this for the longest time and i'm always amazed that everyone in tvxq, except yunho, look small when they're together with changmin who, at the towering height of 186, is the youngest but tallest in the group.
BUT, a very big BUT, although they look small, they're NOWHERE near average-height, much less short! their average height is around 180: jaejoong and yoochun 180 and junsu's 178, and yunho's 184. now to make things very, very clear, the tallest NEWS member, kei-chan, is just 180cm, and the next tallest members are yamapi and shige, both 175. the tallest kattun member, taguchi junnosuke is 180 (info on the next ranging from 177-182, i duno which one is true). if you'd take a look at these pics:
try picturing TVXQ against them. Arashi fans wouldn't need to imagine coz they have seen the height difference when tohoshinki and arashi appeared together on MS earlier this year and when the two groups stood side by side, ne (tho it was unfair to have nino stood beside yunho).
..so, going back to the couple talk, jaejoong pretending to be small and petite and his small dainty gestures as he claimed so just made me LOL-ing in glee xD and jaejoong kept whacking changmin's arms and min holding back from retorting xD this couple talk is full of laughter, but it's mostly, seemingly, private joke between the 2 =p and the way jaejoong kept addressing his speeches to min's mother with
make-believe straight face is the funniest. just take a look at his face trying to look sincere but couldn't hide the mischivieous twinkle in his eyes, man, so funny...
a random note: while writing this, koko and lysia were watching one piece at his laptop on the dining table. and i heard..... we are! and i spun around on my chair... i know that they've watched beyond Thriller Bark, and We Are was the opening song for the first few episodes of one piece, and i thought that those voices sound FAMILIAR.... -___- yea, it IS tohoshinki's cover of We Are! gee, i'm slow or what?? must finish Thriller Bark faster so that i can catch up with koko and listen to tvxq cover of We Are for every episode xD
next! yoomin. i think i'll save up the sweet sweet dessert for last (read: yunho-everyone else). KISS. SKI. where did that come from??? AH!! omg this must have come from japanese fans. micky yoochun - max changmin --> micky max --> mi-kki ma-kku-su ---> ki-su OR su-ki! --> KISS or SKI! min's too self conscious and chun's too obliviously crazy not to mention weirdly awkward. this couple, according to jaejoong's list in Come To Play, are the biggest casanovas in tvxq xDDD dorky casanovas who couldn't do anything when jaejoong-mommy is not there to cook and take care of them xD! dorky casanovas who can't answer simple questions when jaejoong-mommy is not there to dominate the talk and steer the direction of the conversation.
... it seem like they don't have much good thing to say about each other??? o.O i don't think that chun's someone who's very good at praising people. he might think about it, but i don't think he's comfortable of saying it out loud, and neither is min. but they managed to steer the direction of the talk towards that side in the end. bravo =) what an ending befits of the casanovas xD
next! ximin the blood B guys. i think this will be very disastrous. LOL! ok let's just see. B type eh, tego type, the my-pace type. eh? doesn't sound like changmin, tho junsu is totally my-pace. i also like the way changmin always remember to add hyung when addressing junsu. . . . eh? finish already? xD LOL i have nothing to say about them xDDD okay let's just go to NEXT!
here comes our sweet leadersshi yunho. first, yunchun! 2U. where does THIS come from? 2U??? o.O heh.... i really don't know where this come from.. even yunho is confused where does the name come from xD this is the initial couple that i was interested in the beginning. i mean, yoochun for his voice and yunho for his looks
although jaejoong has since replaced yunho at my number 2. omg yunho admitting to the female role because yoochun's very manly? LOL leader! interesting! coz chun is well known to be sensitive and cry easily, but according to yunho, the women of the group are junsu and jaejoongiee (quoting yunho) and changmin, yoochun and himself are the men. yunho, careful, jaejoong might be smaller than you but his biceps are enormous! xD yunho has this habit of adding 'iee' to members name, yoochunnie...even to jaejoong who's his hyung o.O
uwah this is some deep talk.. 2 hours which is cut down to 13 min? lol! really the men of the group, eh, duno what to talk! xDDDDD i love it when yunho kept referring to jaejoongie's mocking-junsu action, that "beautiul footstep" xD oh leave him be, leader, he's jaejoong-mommy after all xD
hosu's next. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL JUNSU! omg he's dissing his earlier on couple names!!!! omg junsu just how blur can you be??????? sasuga junsu desu ne, he's always able to force a laughter out of me. i think it's true about these two, they seem to be the most reliable in terms of staying and hanging on til the end, no matter how severe the situation is. awww leader... he always say sweet things... i think i was right in choosing yunho's talk as the closing, coz he's really sweet ^__^
LAST! the tallest couple, homin! the ones responsible for TVXQ's average height being 182cm (even though 3 members out of 5 were at least 2 cm shorter than that). i also think that they're the most serious ones in the group
in fact bordering boring =p LOL!! i love how everyone kept mentioning about changming growing muscles, and yunho's "i don't know who he's thinking of hurting but it must be either jaejoong or me" --> LOL! xD "if it's violence-related jaejoong would be the one" ---> even more LOL!!!! he does cover things up with his thoughtfulness, yunho =) LOL homin complaining that their pranks with each other are kept being edited out of screentime xDDD no worries, yunho, for the new solreim CF, the whole world would see how changmin molested you homin couple really exists xDDD
>_<> Labels: versailles
remember the new upcoming Versailles single Ascendead Master? the one i said contains ONE song and ONE dvd, and there are 3 different types of DVD, each only 5-min long, and that versailles is cruel because they're milking stupid money out of loyal fans by making them buy 3 different versions just to be able to get a complete 15-minute long worth of dvd?
well apparently it's only true partially. and i blame cdjapan for not putting up the right information on the sales page. but thanks to other fans who posted pre-release comments, i found out that Ascendead Master does NOT only have ONE frigging song in the single. the information below is taken from yesasia.com
Ascendead Master - Regular edition -
1. Ascendead Master
2. Gekkou ka
3. Descendant of Rose (soundtrack)
Ascendead Master - Type 1
01 ASCENDEAD MASTER
02 HALLWAY [SOUNDTRACK]
Ascendead Master - Type 2
01 ASCENDEAD MASTER
02 PILGRIM [SOUNDTRACK]
Ascendead Master - Type 3
01 ASCENDEAD MASTER
02 COVENANT [SOUNDTRACK]
i was getting ready to buy all 3 different versions of the single JUST FOR THE BLOODY SAKE OF getting the 15-min long PV coz, as i've said, i regard Versailles' song that highly. needless to say, i was beyond happy when i found out that there are MORE into the single than just one STUPID (but potentially epic and definitely masterpiece material) song and one STUPIDER (but another potentially epic masterpiece) DVD. now i just have to make sure tha there are enough money to pay these stuff...
still, i'm not happy with this arrangement. not happy at all. from what we can see, it seems like the accompanying songs for Ascendead Master are all soundtrack which, i'm guessing, are instrumentals. now, kamijo might compose grand masterpieces, but instrumentals are all hizaki's forte, and potentially teru's. seeing that hizaki hasn't released hizaki grace project stuff for quite some time, and that previous "Prince and Princess" single contains one instrumental, i'm guessing that hizaki grace project is now fully intergrated into versailles.
which is SAD!!! coz hizaki wouldn't milk out fans' money like this!!! *wails* he would just release a single and let the fans have his masterpieces in one-simple single instead of splitting them into three-friggin-bloody singles each containing ONEbloodySONG!!!!
hizaki, i await your solo stuff!!! don't integrate it with versailles please!!!! you have BIG ENOUGH fanbase to release successful singles and albums, don't fear!!!! ;___;
i don't even know if i'm more happy or angry with this new single.... .____.
watching All About TVXQ Disc 4, couple talk.
AAAAGHHHHHH!!! couple talk!!! *excited*
i was wrong when i said that yunjae's the only officially- approved couple! CHEH! xDD well, apparently SM entertainment is very open about
promoting their artist as couples fanservice that they arrange this corner called "couple talk" whereby the members talked about being couples on officially released DVD 0_0 and, hoo boy, isn't yunjae the most boastful couple.. they even dissed down yoosu, saying that they (yunjae) are THE real couple and that they (yoosu) are just friendly in front of the camera. that's mean, yunjae!!! >_<> we know that yoosu's not only friendly in front of the camera coz junsu stated that he owes yoochun a lot and that he's the one who keep taking care of him. and even sekine-san, when being a guest on hey!hey!hey!, said that yoochun is very kind to junsu, to which junsu replied that if not because of yoochun, he wouldn't know what he'd become, and TO WHICH yoochun replied that he felt he has the responsibility coz he (junsu) is his member (thus implying that his kindness is kinda like obligation) LOL chun!!! meanie!!! xDDD
but, we digress. coming back to couple talk. okay. everyone knows that the most important pair for me is jaechun. so, when the stupid DVD decided to go dead on me, i chose to hunt down jaechun first and foremost (coz i finished watching yunjae already and yoosu is secondary). who'd have known that jaechun's "soulmate" nickname is REALLY officially acknowledged? i'm not even too sure if by this time jaejoong has already gotten his "TVfXQ SOUL" tattoo on his back, or if yoochun has already have his "TVfXQMYC" on his back, which was conveniently misread as "TVfXQMATE" and thus sealing the two's "soulmate" nickname forever.
watching them together, sigh, i have to agree that yunjae is sweet. BUT, too sweet for my liking perhaps xD jaechun's sickeningly teaseful, but hilariously so too
not to mention with a hint of being mean xD i think anyone could just say a random, cold, oyaji-gag and if yoochun laughs, i will also laugh. his laughter has that effect on me, just like tego xD and since the one talking beside him is jaejoong, naughty, witty, subtly-but-hilariously dorky jaejoong, i laughed even harder!! like OMGROFLOL!! xDDDD the part when they talked about junsu and his "beautiful footstep" was L!O!L!!!
i love how junsu stepped into their talk and interrupt, providing his own story of why jaechun is the genius soulmate xD
butyoosu supporter will see this as an act of envy and jealousy that chunnie is talking so comfortably with jaejoong =P
but, it seemed like a random bitch-about-the-others session instead of couple talk, ne =P luckily they got better after the half mark. from just two talk, a lot of things are being revealed about tvxq. i don't wonder why tvxq fans are able to write such amazing fanfics that seems realistic, they have such hard facts and official evidence to back up their character research. for example, jaejoong's motherly nature that definitely does NOT shows in his face or narcisstically-vain personality, and yoochun's sensitive side that only becomes obvious after you watched him cry so often in award shows or concerts. it became more heartfelt nearing the end, and i think jaejoong was being spot on when he said that yoochun's about to cry again xD *ruffles yoochun's hair* i like the way yoochun kept referring to jaejoong as jaejoong hyung (tho i dun really understand why jaejoong considers yoochun and junsu as same age and himself and yunho as same age when the 4 of them are born in the same year!). i'd love for them to go into more personal style, but i guess yoochun wouldn't hear of it, ne. i think he's a really private guy, and jaejoong, understanding this, kept the line uncrossed =) way to go, genious soulmate! xD
third couple! i think the second most famous couple after yunjae: yoosu!
yea as far as i'm into jaechun, i have to admit the fact that yoosu's making bigger impact on the screen, tho i don't doubt that jaechun is much closer in private than what they're showing off on screen
the moment i heard junsu's laughter....i couldn't believe that i'm saying this, but i think i kinds missed his laughter xD somehow tvxq interview is NOT complete without junsu's eukyangkyangkyang xDDD and yoochun always assumes this character when junsu's around, like as though there's nothing else in the world that is as interesting as junsu xD i think i understand what vel meant by "geminis really know how to please people" when i watch yoochun. he's like that to everyone, but especially for junsu, especially for junsu he became a little more interested and a little more crazy xD
lol, yunjae dissing yoosu and yoosu not happy and yoosu dissed yunjae L!O!L!!!! this is growing to be a battle of the couple! xDDD (and i'm sitting in the middle, coz my otp's jaechun xD) but i agree with chunnie, yunjae's talk seems boring if compared to dynamic, dorky yoosu xD i think only yoochun is sensitive enough to catch on to junsu's subtle hint of being dorky and respond accordingly, could be that's why junsu said that he feels safe because yoochun's there. and yoochun's being blatantly blunt and junsu's hilarious response to it OMGLOL!!! xDDD yoochun's being very very talkative in this couple talk, and junsu is relatively quiet.
looking at yoosu, somehow i gets reminded of NEWS. junsu is not similar to massu, but their character is the closest if compared to the rest. they're a bit awkward in the group and very my-pace (junsu->coz he has his twin, massu->coz he's just like that xD). but junsu's lucky coz yoochun's there to entertain his every whim, whileas massu only have harmlessly self-centered tego who is as (if not more) my-pace as himself!
next! after the famous yunjae and yoosu, and after my otp jaechun, of course it's time to watch *drumrolls* jaesu! ^^ on a totally unrelevant note, one of my cellphone pofile name is called jaechunsu, coz they're the most prominently crazy-funny-dorky-noisy people in the group xD
considering that yoochun dominated yoosu talk and jaejoong dominated jaechun talk, there's no doubt that jaejoong's gonna be dominating jaesu talk too. . . . 0__0 ombg, they know!! they know that they're being paired off in couples!! xDD awwww, that's sweet. it's true, jaesu is very prominent in songs, very. and it's understanably so, considering the strength of both voices, ne. theirs is very strong vocally.
i still think that jaechun's the ultimate musically. i agree totally with junsu's point about their voices. jaejoong really does have clear voice and his voice really lighten up the atmosphere and junsu's voice is not as good. BUT junsu always, ALWAYS able to hit all the notes perfectly and able to perform all sorts of things/emotion which i think jaejoong can't perform, his technicality is much stronger in this sense. that's why they compliment each other so well when they sing.
oh wow, the awkward-junsu saying that jaejoong's the awkward one?? xDDD but i can understand, coz sometimes he IS awkward xD but adorably klutzy-ly so xD omg OMG OMG OMG VELI JUNSU HAS YOUR SYMPTOMS!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD i can't believe this, this is too uncanny!!!!!!!!!!!!! like months back, at the beginning of BA, i think, i was telling veli this: vel, loe kadang2 get lost in your own thoughts ya? and she said, "iya, kok loe tau????" and i was like, "ya, kadang2 gw suka ngomong ma loe, but you didn't respond, i thought you don't like me or what..." ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!! i can totally relate to jaejoong's "why doesn't junsu like me????" feeling and his frustration and fear as he asked, "do you hate me?" coz i've BEEN THERE!!!! XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
vel, you're just fated with junsu.
oh shyt look at the time! O.O i totally didn't realise it's so late!!!! -____- right, i'm off to bed. i've caught all the important couples anyway (jaechun jaesu yoosu, plus an extra yunjae) and the rest doesn't really matter xD

featuring: Yoshiki about: Yochan underwent a surgery to correct his spine, a problem that had persisted since 1995, when he finally started to feel numbness in his fingers. the surgery went fine, thank goodness. hopefully he will recover completely and it doesn't affect his piano playing. as for drums...don't forget your neck braces everytime you drums, yochan!
etc: read below xD i've made too many layouts featuring Yoshiki i don't wish to repeat myself =P
Background: formed in 2007 by founding member Kamijo (ex Lareine) and Hizaki (ex Sulfuric Acid), they released their debut single Revenant Choir which tells a story about a clan. Just as like Kamijo's past works, Versailles tells a story through their symphonic metal music and extravagantly elaborate costumes inspired from antique European era.
Members: Kamijo (vocals), Hizaki (guitar), Teru (guitar), Jasmine-You (bass), Yuki (drums)
etc: Versailles beautiful music managed to win my heart totally. saddened by the loss of Jasmine-YOU in 2009, but i hope the 4 of them will still make great music from now onwards. rest in peace, Jasmine-YOU, and watch out for the guys from up there...
Background: Formed in 2007, performed first during Anime Expo at the States in May.
Members: Yoshiki (drums, piano, guitar), Gackt (vocal, piano), Sugizo (guitar, violin), Miyavi (guitar, shamisen)
etc: ekkusu phase 2.0 was lost because i didn't save it in photobucket (because it refused to upload it properly). and so, from now i'll start my skin from phase .1 instead of .0
Featuring: Hiruma Youichi
Model's background: manga character (Eyeshield 21)
More about the model: quarterback of Deimon Devilbats, The Commander From Hell; the backbone and the brain behind Deimon High School's American Football Club, The Deimon Devilbats.
Icons: various facial expressions of Hiruma, the maniacal, elven-faced leader of Devilbats ^^
Etc: Eyeshield 21 is a sports manga about American Football and it's one of my current favourite. My rating for them is:
intellectual level: 9/10
Featuring: Hayashi Yoshiki
Model's background: leader, drummer, pianist, main composer of legendary band X Japan (1982-1997); leader, drummer, pianist, guitarist, composer of band Violet UK, debut coming soon.
More about the model: Yoshiki in the early X Japan era in early 90's when he still has long curly locks.
Etc: YOSHIKI IS MY HERO AND IDOL!
Featuring: Hayashi Yoshiki
Model's background: leader, drummer, pianist, main composer of legendary band X Japan (1982-1997); leader, drummer, pianist, guitarist, composer of band Violet UK, debut coming soon. Born in Tateyama, Chiba (Japan) in 20th November 1965 and currently living in Los Angeles, California (USA). Head company of Extasy Records, Extasy Japan and Extasy Records International (now defunct). http://myspace.com/yoshiki
More about the model: the faint background picture of Yoshiki was taken in the recent years when he's already cut his hair short and started the habit of wearing sunglasses.
Icons: pictures taken from Yoshiki's house in LA: his front door, piano in the middle room, dining room and swimming pool.
Etc: I can write essays on Yoshiki, but let's just keep it simple and straightforward: YOSHIKI IS MY HERO AND IDOL!
