that's my motto this year. to play as hard as i work. there's a reason why i didn't put it the other way round, coz this way it sounds more fun xD so far, still can't really put it into work, but i'm still trying even until now. wish me luck! Labels: school
been out with friends every week this term. went out with yanghong on friday, met lin and obachan on sat, and just met the bandung clique today. the previous weeks were just as 'active' as this week. surprising development of the anti-social me, huh? is this a sign of me getting older, or just that the stress during the previous holiday made some wires in my brain click and now i'm thinking differently? *shrugs* hopefully so.
anyway, convo is this wednesday. practice for next year's REAL convo xD my parents are coming in the morning, and will be flying off again at night, so i can't do anything for the whole day. this week there's also a homework from peck leng, and i'm lagging behind with my moodboard for design studio, and i need to do something about my extended essay lest i'll be much much more behind than my classmates, and there are 2 extra workshops scheduled for us on 2 different days. as if that's not enough, i've promised to meet up with mimi and merr on friday (but that's okay, coz it's the weekend) and also agreed impulsively on another cash studio session with dira and her dance friend on thursday *shudders*
i promise that i will finish peck leng's homework on time, even with the cash-studio session prior to that, but it's the days in-between that worry me... i'm predicting several sleepless nights this week v_v

watching NEWS while feeling angry, jealous, envious, curious, dissatisfied, displeased, stubborn, unaccepting.... Labels: jani jimusho misc, NEWS
maybe it's the first time i sit and watch any NEWS clips with a frown on my forehead. i'm glaring at everyone. piercing my glare at their dance movements. their voices. their smiles. their concert props. the whole concept of their First Tokyo Dome concert.
and really, what triggered me into this state was the clip showing Yamapi's appearance at KAT-TUN's tokyo dome concert. yamapi's appearance itself was barely a few seconds, and of course the rest of the clips featured the main thing: the concert itself. it was not long, like mezamashi terebi clips, perhaps a few minutes, during which i watched more than enough for my own good.
i think it's very unfortunate that i came and dwell on the JPop world (and becoming a citizen of johnny's world) after knowing JRock. it doesn't help that my favourite band, during my stay at the JRock world, was at the zenith of the JRock legend, and the most recent one has such marvelous reputations too. i'm too used to be "the proud fan" whose favourite band literally is considered "the best" and whose name is always spoken about in awe. i'm too used to look up at the sky and see them and only them, without much other rivals in the nearby sky.
i'm not used to be "the other fan", the fan of a group who stand side by side with another, sharing equal amount of fame, in fact borderlining losing to the other. i'm not used to be unable to look around at other groups and conceitedly tell myself, "look at your idol, hana, aren't they good or what?"
i'm a very shallow, conceited, stubborn fan. who can't stand having her idols sharing the glory and fame of the entertainment industry with other idols of similar nature. who easily gets jealous and envious. (and people say jealousy is a sign of insecurity, and how true is that!)
i just wasted half an hour of hany's time, forcing her to tell me why is NEWS at the state that they are now. why, given their talents, that they are not zooming up to that place in the sky? after much talking from my part (and bewildered cum exasperated answers from hany) the conclusion was that i am a minority in this world. people who look at talents instead of looks. are the minority.
so the world is actually looking at image and looks only. you have both, you have the advantage. no matter how good your skills are, if you can't sell your image, you're not gonna overtake someone who gives a certain cool aura that can captivates the fans (and non-fans!).
that's it? that's the basic rule of the entertainment industry?? !!
i knew that rule. but it doesn't stop me from feeling sick of it. well, i know i've practiced it too (definitely!) but only now that i'm asking myself, and the world, WHY?
the "discussion" ended with me feeling furious. and i'm back to watch their concert with a frown on my forehead and an ugly pout. a very, ugly, pout.
it's UNFAIR!!!! why does johnny jimusho be called talent agency when the groups that they produce essentially rely on their looks and image to gain fame instead of their talents? why is the group that has better talent in the end can't overtake the rest? why is johnny jimusho a talent agency when their talented people in the end lose out to the "cooler" people?
having said all that, NEWS does have its disadvantages when they were hit with that double scandal. then again... why does it matter so much...?
*back to glare at NEWS concert*

had consultation with lionel just now, voluntary one-on-one tutorial. my friends who've known me long enough in this class would raise one eyebrow, coz i've always have this phobia of one-on-one consultation with all the teachers, with exceptions of peck leng and hideki (to whom i approach whenever i can for help). you name me any teacher, i'll tell you the degree to which they intimidate me, starting from the highest range (helen) to the minimum-but-still-there (adrian). basically all design studio teachers intimidate me, and all pattern drafting and production method teachers are at the lower range of my 'phobia'. Labels: school
but, i was very thankful for the consultation just now. really, really thankful. i was basically quite lost in the bush, unable to see my path eventhough i know my destination, and unable to see my surrounding to decide which way i want to go about to reach my destination? and just now lionel was asking me questions, which i magnificently failed to answer clearly, which led him to probe some more questions, which i still failed to answer, thus showing him quite plainly that i didn't know what i want to be doing despite of all my research, which led him to assign me some tasks so that i would be able to see my path clearer...
err, no, i still can't see the path at the moment, coz i've not done what he asked me to (i just got home!) but i suppose after i've done all the things that he suggested, i would be able to see what i want to do =) thank you lionel! i was really really thankful after the consultation. it's still gonna be weekly mental strain for me (my phobia towards DS teachers is still there) but i'll practice a little bit of machosism and volunteer for more consultation sessions. make more mistakes early and get them diagnosed early, that's the key for a better work, ne?
anyway. just now we were pretty much stressed up. everyone were going at different pace, but basically everyone felt that she's not good enough, that she's lost, that she simply doesn't know what to do. a period with peck leng after that helped to reduce the tension (for me) and lowered the adrenaline that i stocked up during my consultation session. then, somehow someone suggested for a dinner at popeye's after the all-level-fashion-students meeting at 6. most of the class indicated they would go, and we were quite high and happy, with the underlying stress still felt in the air.
between the end of peck leng's class and the start of the meeting, 5 of us went to eyebrow-threading at little india. me, pauline, rachel, (far)hana and jit had fun tasting the indian sweets and snacks at little india, (far)hana and jit being the more knowledgable ones in terms of "which one is nice, which one is even nicer" =D we went to a little shop at little india, the first shop that we encountered that offered eyebrow-threading. we went upstairs through a really narrow staircase, and reached a comfortable shop at the 2nd floor with clean floor (we had to take off our shoes), comfortable ambience and really nice attendants.
my first time doing eyebrow threading. man, it hurt until i started tear-ing -__-"" but i like the result =DD the attendant asked me to do the whole of my forehead coz apparently it's quite hairy, but i refused =p what if it grows thicker and blacker? eugh... so anyway, it stung, and the area around my eyebrows went red. but now i have pretty neat eyebrows =D yey~ just in time for next week convo, i said to rachel ^^
after the meeting, around 7, we 'set off' to popeye's which was, according to someone, is at suntec city. when we asked around "how are we going there", somehow someone made the group decide to "go on foot". there was a group who wanted to go by bus, and i already raised my hand to follow them, but in the end everyone went off in suntec direction on foot. and we were all like so happy, a huge group of 12 (10 from my class: me, pauline, rachel, bernice, (far)hana, sonali, ami, sugi, amot and dimuthu; syariff and nat from lvl 2) like a class excursion. it was so fun, really, it was PPAS (see the acronym above)!!
....until we reached suntec city and were told by our 'leader' rachel that we haven't reached yet, that it was "behind marina mandarin". people were getting tired.
... until we reached behind marina mandarin and were told that we haven't reached yet, that it's at singapore flyer. (far)hana was like, "okay this is not fun anymore" LOL!! xDD
some portion of our path was through dark alleys, and at those places rachel tends to pick up her pace, until there's a point when bernice pulled me back and told me to "just walk slower" and we watched rachel getting further...and further...and further...until she turned, and realised that we were so far behind, and stopped xD
right. so our cross-country leader rachel and also pauline managed to lead a 12-people-strong group from lasalle to singapore flyer. banzai!! xDD i told pauline, "this is the most strenuous journey i've ever undertaken for a fastfood" xD
for personal record, today it's another level of achievement for me. today she looked at my watch and asked for a time, asked to see my eyebrows after threading, whispered something to me (ref up) and also the first to say bye when i alighted from bus. as i said, after all this, i'm gonna say that it's a hard-earned friendship!

right. natsu matsuri. the annual activity that me and nata always anticipate. this year, though, we also have DIRA! who kindly and generously fulfilled our (me and obachan's) 4-year dream of wearing yukata to natsu matsuri xD
we went to her house to get dressed. it wasn't a friendly afternoon, drizzling and all, but in her house all worries were forgotten as we get on to ironing the yukata (obachan), getting ready (dira) and basically shifting between one task and another, alias ngga jelas ngapain (me) xDD i finally saw dira's garfield, i mean huge, fat ginger cat,who had just a massive haircut. LOL! he still looks like garfield!!! xDDDD cuuuuteeee
one thing that i registered as dira helped me getting dressed: i never knew that yukata is as torturous as corset XO "loe untung gw yang iketin, kalo org jpg asli yg iketin mah jauh lebeh kenceng tau, gw aja gada tenaga" when she tied the sash around my waist and made me gasped out loud O.O!! i did remember, vaguely, of going through similar thing when i went to japan, but not that serious O.O or perhaps i'm just getting fatter -__-;;;
anyway, dira and nata managed to convince me to wear diras geta, despite my apprehension... well after walking around in it for several metres, it was actually not bad ^^ we took bus to clementi, and then MRT to tanah merah. became centre of attention, mochiron desu ne -_- but, oh well, since i have dira and obachan, i managed to act like usual and act like nothing's happened xD
met dira's friend and hardi in the mrt, then we took the bus to the japanese school. sbass and harry was already there, and despite coming in early, harry still didn't manage to obtain a yukata... poor thing! well there's always next year, zawa! hahaha...
as usual, natsu matsuri = orchard population in weekend x2 -__-;;; SOOOO many people were there... i managed to get both of the fans =D and contentedly tucked them at the back of my obi whenever i wasn't using it ^^)v
obachan was waiting for her friend, eleta, and asked us to go obtain some food first. me, harry, sbass and hardi went to walk around a little bit. harry was all into getting an Anbu mask. how disappointed we were when we realised that they didn't sell any v__v
the first thing that we get was: dinner! of course, we were famished! the queue for bento was like snake -__- sbass went off to queue for okonomiyaki. the "pork okonomiyaki" that me and harry ordered was: fried egg -___-;;; i was eating it with enthusiasm anyway, coz i was hungry... obachan bought me sausage too ^^ last year we came in too late and we couldn't get any meals, so we spent our tickets on small food like sausages, poor thing hor...
anyway, since it was still drizzling, the tables that were prepared at "the designated areas" for eating were all wet. so, in our search for a space to eat, we climbed onto the second floor and, with a magic carpet that sbass brought, sat down there and eat ^^ in the end nobody used the mattress except me, obachan and the food -__- oh, and eleta too ^^ the guys were all like gentlemen and sat on the floor. halooo, got mattress leh =P
anyway, i ate til i was super duper full. perhaps it was the effect of the sash that dira tied for me. oh by the way as soon as we entered the school, i lost dira, coz she already has a ticket and she went with her friends inside. after eating, we walked around, here and there, and we played my favourite game yo-yo ^^ and, as usual, i couldn't get more than 1 *sobs* so sad... sbass managed ot get SO many!! so jealous xDD this year they don't have the "scoop-the-goldfish" game, sbass said something about "cruelty to animal" (i wonder how come he knew O.O) and instead they changed the goldfish to balls xD small little balls floating in the pails, so cute ^^
the rain dampened the lawn and everything, ang with dismay we watched the stage, all set up with lanterns, standing alone, under the drizzle, empty.... after exhausting possibility of doing anything else, we contemplated of going to marina to catch the hanabi. i called dira to tell her that i'd be going off first. she picked up my phone, saying that she was in the middle of the circle, dancing.
"ehh? ada bon odori??"
"ada! di sports hall"
so, we looked for this sports hall instead of goint to the fireworks. the hall was so full of people O.O by the way we took off our shoes before going into the hall, very japanese, huh? ^^ anyway we didn't dance, just watched the procession, i mean people, from the back. obachan was in love with a little boy, on the other hand i was looking at the father, in particular his hairstyle xDD funky man! a father with a ponytail, cool, eh? ^^
went home soon after that. obachan took pics with a couple of cute lil girls who, photogenically and readily, posed with her while eating their pudding, their mom smilingly allowed weird people taking pics with her precious daughters. not long after that (perhaps, 2 minutes?) another group of indonesians approached them and requested similar thing. the girls looked amused, but both of them were so cute!! obachan has the pics on facebook, but i think they look much muh cuter in real life =D
we took bus to kallang mrt. i decided to take mrt to novena and take bus home instead of taking bus home all the way. the bus stops that i would alight at (if i take mrt from novena or if i take bus home from kallang) are different, and i chose the path that has the shorter walking distance.
but it also means that i would be alone in the mrt from city hall to novena, and from novena home. sheesh. with obachan around, i could just ignore all the stares people were throwing at us. but alone...and without my iPod... *sigh*
but, oh well, it was a wonderfully fun day =DD rainen mo ikimashou! ^__^
by the way, i had just been to newshfan lj. i always go there regularly to check for new updates, and currently i'm hunting for an episode of "sekai no hate made itteQ" plop-in-the-pond festival version, the one in which we could watch cool tesshi snowboarding and plopping into 0 degree celcius pond and still laughing it off ^^
alright i'm getting beside my point. i was going to say that, i clicked on newshfan's friends button (i'm not an LJ user so i don't know the function of these buttons) and it brought me to posts from several other users. one of them, called seiiki akari, also went to natsu matsuri at changi, and she (i'm assuming it's a she) said that, get ready for this, KUROSAGI IS COMING TO SINGAPORE!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was so freakin happy when i read that xDDD 18 september!!!! no doubt obachan had already watched the movie on the plane when she was coming back to sg, but i'm still going to drag her to the movie with me xDD and hany too!! and joyce!!! and...*thinking who else might be interesed* mai!!! if possible xDDD
yayyy!!!! let's all sing "taiyou no.. namida~~~" in the movie!!! xDDDD *hyper mode*

seriously? sometimes i still think that a certain someone hates me. not hates-hates me, but more like if-not-necessary-then-turn-on-hate-mode-hates me. then another person simply looks down on me. call us girls for having all these 'intuitions', but we do feel it (clearly!) when someone we're talking to actually doesn't talk to us sencerely. then another one was pretty hostile once, but i'm not giving up, ne. by xmas, i want to be on friendly terms with everyone, excluding the one who looks down on me who has, on the surface, been on a friendly terms with me. when i've achieved that, then i'd call it "a truly hard-earned friendship". Labels: school
btw some improvements i made thus far. i've managed to (more or less) sleep around 2am, and usually earlier!! =) and my habit of sleeping in 7-hour-block* throughout the entire 3 months holiday has made me feel much better in waking up in the morning too. sometimes my mind was already awake before i heard my alarm clock (though my body was still sleeping xD)
*) i always set an alarm clock before i sleep, counting 7 hours from the time i (approximately) fall asleep. if i sleep at 2, then i set my clock at 9. after waking up, i'd go to sleep again (obviously, duh, it's holiday!) but within 7 hours from sleeping i would wake up from the alarm clock.
and, my weekend this semester is being fast-forwarded to thursday ^^ TODAY! haha... it's because tomorrow's class is peck leng's, and, like hideki's class, it's almost never a rush going to her class. not to mention that having her is already a soothing reason on its own. so, yea, after thursday i would usually start feeling wekend-ish ^^ and, as if the school had predicted a monday-blues-fever for us, they started class at 3pm on monday xD loong~ loong weekend ^^
weekends are used to do (endless, never ending wonderful) research though. it's NLB, NLB and NLB all the waaay~~ if you call me outside school hours, please don't hang up fast, coz chances are i was at the library and i need some time to walk from my seating place to outside to talk.s

*singing* Labels: NEWS
"ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you, alellu- alleluia~~"
yesterday i was asking for a new NEWS song, deshou? then, just now when i went to check on yamapi facebook again, guess what i found?
jajaaa-aann~~
NEW NEWS SONG!!! =DDD accompanied by a NEW commercial!!! LOL! it's kinda cute, the title of the commercial, Happy Bath Day. it's true that the japanese pronounce "birthday" as "bath day" (ba-su de-i) just like they pronounce "thank you" as "san-kyu" so this happy birthday happy bath day thing is cute xD
NEW SONG!! xDD the CM for Russ-K was also released first before Summer Time single was annonced, ne? i wasn't sure about the earlier Russ-K, was it released first or weeek was released first?
but, NEW SONG! *dancing happily*
not that the new song sounded too catchy though... unlike summer time which i really liked the moment i heard it the first time. but, oh well, there'd always be (at least) one good song in a single, ne? and besides, new single = promotional appearance in music station, hey! hey! hey!, utaban, and so on. i can't wait!!! =DDD
i heard massu's voice all over...but no tesshi... yuyaan where are you -__-"" this song might be another nantoka narusa, ne? a song made especially to suit massu's voice xD coz it has cute-sy melody ^^
btw, i like guys wearing white suit, overalls, whatever... but in this PV they don't look as impressive as in the pacific tour DVD ne =P and, *ruffles pi-chan's hair* pi-chan change your hair!! xDDDD and, shige, dark hair suits you better! xD yuyaan looked so formal yuyaaan o.o
now, should i start hunting for Kose's new bath day soap? =DDDDD (tsubaki's shampoo, kose's bath day soap, russ-k clothes, which to choose?)

Tuesday 19 August 2008
-__- it's about time they start releasing new album! or at the very least a new single! come on... it's august already! coming into september soon... if they released taiyou no namida around march, summer time in may, then by now they should have come up with a new single, yes? Labels: NEWS
according to yamapi's jweb (which facebook yamapi had been so kindly translated for us) yamapi had been "working with members" for several times already. i sure do hope it means a new single in the making... or a new album! =DD
and, if yamapi has got a solo song on he first album, ryo got a solo song on the second album, then it should also means that massu will get a solo song next in the next album, ne? (going in order of johnnys seniority, aka who've been the longest in johnnys') it'll be a loong loong time for yuyaan's turn (he's the noob-est after all) but it'll come, eventually, ne? ^^ i mean, he already secured Ai Nante as his solo during the pacific tour and first tokyo dome concert ^^ the DVD version was much better than the fancam version (of course, duh~) BUT i still feel the fancam version was more heartfelt... ^^;;; but anyways, it's tesshi's voice, so i have no complaints.
talking about the pacific tour and first tokyo dome concert...i don't recall watching massu's solo song...!!! yamapi got gomenne juliet AND seishun amigo (sang with ryo), ryo had his code, shige was given another song, this one i like much much better than Never Ending Wonderful Story tour song, keichan secured Private Hearts for his solo and tesshi has Ai Nante...what about massu????? O.O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm still watching d.gray-man. as i've said before, i like the music a lot. the more i watch, the more i realised how much the music resembles Inuyasha, especially for the fighting part. sometimes i have to convince myself that it wasn't inuyasha's music being recycled to fit this anime. other times it felt very lord of the ring-ish, super cool =D Labels: manga anime
then, today i was googling around and found out the composer's name. Kaoru Wada. -_- no wonder la... perhaps it was his next project after inuyasha? anyway i feel like buying the soundtrack. i'm particularly looking for the songs which Road Camelot sings a lot, the "sennen ko wa sagashiteru, daichi na haato sagashiteru, anata wa atari tashika meyou~" song. since the beginning of the anime, i was already interested in the background theme for the Millenium Earl and the Noach Clansmen song, it felt so creepy-ly cute o.O reminds me a lot of the BGM for a map in maple, the Forgotten Time map, i like it a lot ^^
i've been to many websites listening to the songs, but i haven't found that one song yet. i've found several other millenium earl's songs though, and they're also cute. but i'm looking for that creepy-cute song. if anyone knows the title of the song, please let me know! ^_^
2:16 pm
it's unusual how i went to different cash studio sessions with different people everytime. this time around we have harry, who's a self-claimed otaku and seemingly a huge fan of laruku. and, not only that, his style of singing is very much like hyde too XD cool, eh? Labels: cash studio
so, the story was that yesterday i didn't make a reservation at cash studio, seeing that for the previous ones i didn't make any reservations either. i failed to take note that yesterday was a weekend, and that apparently not all cash studio rooms are equipped with the japanese songs machine.
so, when me and dira went to cash studio at 6++, we were told that the rooms were fully booked. i was so shocked! i've been looking forward to this cash studio session for days, really really really looking forward to it, and then suddenly we couldn't sing... so depressed -__- was totally disappointed. perhaps the person felt sorry looking at me so sad, before we left he said that there's room at 10.30, which was more than 3 hours away. i wasn't comforted by it. somehow after everyone started working, my mentality was that going past midnight is not an option anymore.
called obachan to tell her that the plan is ruined. dira was pulling me back to orchard and trying to cheer me up eventhough i just wanted to sit and sulk. she said, "come let's go to the place where there's a lot of johnnys' photos, maybe will make you happy" and i was like "it's so far in cine, we're all the way at st angus there, iyaaa" -_- but i dragged my feet and we walked back to orchard. i already bought dinner for obachan, so she still had to meet me.
while walking and talking, me and dira agreed to try some other karaoke places to check out their japanese songs. it's been so long since i went to k-box, and even longer since my last trip to ktv party world. so we checked the prices for these places. apparently they don't differ much from each other, about 26bucks per person per 3 hours. obachan joined us while we were still at ktv, checking prices.
i told her that we could have a room at 10.30 at cash studio. was expecting her to reject the idea. so i was super astonished when she said that she didn't mind o.O!! and she called harry and he also didn't mind! wow man, if there's a heart meter attached to my body, you can see it increasing to the max instantly xD called them straight away and booked a room.
after that we met harry, ate dinner, loitered around kinokuniya (when you have 4 japanese-freaks together, kino seemed like the most logical place to hang out, yes?) and then ate dinner (for me, who finished eating lunch at 4) at taka basement. after buying drinks, we slowly made our way to cash studio.
thank goodness for book 10!! xDDD the first thing that i checked was NEWS's song list. YES!! they've added pacific as well as week and taiyou no namida single! too bad there's no summer time, nor ai ai gasa *sigh* well, perhaps we must wait for another half a year before they'd update again...?
anyway, obachan was ready to start her career as a camerawoman xD she prepared digicam, tripod stand, spare batteries and even the charger itself! xDD cool eh~ we learned a little bit about the system in the book. apparently if there's a little star written beside the song title, it means that it has either: a) the original MV, or b) the original anime which the song was a theme song. so obachan was ecstatic when she realised that there are quite a number of V6 songs with stars in them. on the other hand i was disappointed that none of NEWS or Tegomasu has any stars with them -_- yappari kouhai desu ne...
3 hours whizzed by like nobody's business. when it's time for our "last 2 songs", we agreed to extend for 1 more hour xD so we went back home at, err, 3am? xD we started singing at 11 coz the room wasn't available til then. from 10.30 to 11 we were invited to use their normal room to sing. the japanese songs there weren't much, but they all have original MVs.
this is a great prelude to next week's natsu matsuri, ne? ^^

Thursday 14 August 2008
for those who don't know, about 80% of my classmates last year (and 100% of my close circle clique) drop out of school after obtaining diploma, which left me starting this semester in absolute despair and dread. it's been 2 weeks that i've been trying to find people whom i can share lunch regularly with, and some have been really really kind (and very very sincere) to talk to me throughout these 2 weeks, and asked me to eat lunch with them too. thank you especially for R, Y, J and H! i truly appreciate you! some other people i could feel their insincerity when they're not talking to me, others simply intimidates me because they radiates this arrogance and refusal to include me in conversation with their eyes eventhough i was clearly there, talking with everyone... Labels: school
last week i tried hard. too hard, perhaps. which made me mentally tired at the end of the week. and then, i thought to myself, "maa, it's just the first week, ne? don't force yourself too hard." like tony said, take things easy and life will unfold itself in the most unexpected way. (i'm gonna be quoting you forever, ton! xDD) and so i told myself this week.
amazingly, what tony prophesised came true =D well, today's lunch was one of the luxury that me, mimi and merry usually have once a semester, but it was an enjoyable lunch. there were 6 of us and we created a lot of ruckus in new york new york xD thank goodness that there weren't anyone else eating besides us. i'm starting to have better relationship with everyone, even with the arrogant one (whom i know to not be arrogant in actual fact, but why does that person keep, like, refusing to accept me into the circle? i feel so sad....) it's a mountain that i have to climb, and i'll climb it diligently.
today i also re-realised that there are people like me in the class. rachel was saying that lionel asked her if she took A's, coz the way she think was like one. then i was claiming, "how come he never said that to me.." and veliani chimed in, "he never said that to me either!" xD
i also realised that my class, the original B class, was perhaps the only class that had never had any problems with our pattern drafting and production method teachers since level 1 semester 1. first semester it was hideki, whom some thought were too strict and blahblahblah. but our class had loved him since the first 2 weeks or so. he's an adorable old man with straight rules to follow. he abides by his rules and we're expected to do so too. i think he's among the most practical teachers in the school. you abide by his rules without complaining or bitching or expecting too much (when asking for help) and he'll be most helpful to assist you.
secondly it was peck leng, who was still teaching us when we've had tang for our production method in the 2nd semester. that was hellish days. truly hellish days. in fact, out of my 4 semesters in lasalle, that was still the one with the worst memory. genuinely hellish days. and due to some lack of communication between the teachers (and our tendency to take for granted teachers who were kind to us), there were some *coughs* problems *coughs* between the teachers which caused some problems in some other classes. but, still, our class was left with our love towards peck leng intact ^^
which was why when i saw her name among the list of our teachers this year, i saw a ray of light in the midst of the fog. i literally felt a big burden being lifted up from my shoulder then. not because she's so kind she'll help us out all the way (well that's also true) but more because i need a teacher figure who doesn't intimidate me, and whom i've known long enough to know that in whatever case she's someone i can rely on and i can go to for help. in fact in the last 2 semesters when she wasn't teaching our class, me mimi and merry still went to her once in a while for help.
maybe the reason why our class's relationship with these 2 teachers were whole was because we don't push them too much and we always do our work diligently. we may not be the brightest or most brilliant class, but we always try to follow the teachers rule and standard, and eventhough we almost died doing it, we didn't push one teacher to make room for the demand for the other teacher.
by the way, tomorrow cash studio session! xD obachan asked me to update the lyrics for the cheat sheets. eh, late already ahz, and my indesign had just expired, so i can't edit the pdf file xD you'll just have to read the furigana real fast, obachan! xD
newshfan had finished subbing the first disc of NEWS Pacific Concert DVD!! banzai!!! i downloaded the softsub from her. thank you very much, newshfan, i LOVE YOU!!! almost as much as i love NEWS!! =DDDDDDDDDD

Wednesday 13 August 2008
yay!! banzai for HMV for their super-fast (but also expensive) delivery!! on th 11th i was told that my order had been dispatched, eventhough the release date for the DVD was on the 13th, and by this afternoon it has arrived!!! banzaaaaaaiiiiiii~~~~~~~ Labels: NEWS
i won't be watching, though. not tonight. after much dissuasion from hany. i have my POOCHes to work on, and hany has her homework. so we'll watch some other day, preferably after newshfan had finished subbing =DDD
but i did watched several segments of the DVD... not much la, just the documentary and the special guest segment ^^ the documentary wasn't as fun as the Never Ending Wonderful Story documentary, i guess? but the highlight of the segment was definitely better! lol, it was hilarious, to watch shige doing the batsu game at the concert xDDD and at my favourite ending of a song too!!
...shyt, i can sing the whole song of that song (the one which ending i really really like) complete with half of the lyrics, but i can't remember the title of the song!!! what the......??? *singing out* dare ni mo makenai, na na na na na~~ news, kiseki na na na na na, we can do it~~ fly away, far away, tsubasa hirogete, go ahead, do your best, nigiri tsukamou! sora takaku na na na na, tsukuri dase~~ ......what's the song title???!!!
ah!!!!!!! *after hany browsed through almost 10 NEWS songs on her handphone* News Nippon!!! alamak, so hard to remember xDDD
newshfan, yoroshiku onegaishimasu! without you, i'll only be half-enjoying the DVD coz i don't understand what they're saying xD
anyway, today's my mom and aunt's last day in singapore. i thought i'll have more time for school work now. but, nooo, plans after plans have already landed on my feet, delicious plans that i can't possibly resist, like natsu matsuri, cash-studio-ing and furniture-browsing at ikea =DD
dira came to school this afternoon and told me that natsu matsuri would be on the 23rd. "来週の23日" she said. then, at night i bumped to obachan at bugis, who immediately said, "i book you on the 23rd, i don't care!" lol, great minds think alike? or more like great minds obtain information at similar time? xD
told dira about obachan's otaku friend and his enthusiasm for cash studio, and she was also like, "yuk!!" xD
would we be regular cash-studio-ers? =DD the born of "the indo j-karaoke lovers group" xD
tomorrow night will be having dinner with mimi, merry and dira at ikea. then we'll go browse through furniture (i'm particularly going to look for beds) and maybe i can go visit Totle and mimi's sis who's going to give birth soon ^^
plans, plans, plans... work hard, play just as hard, ne? ^^

Sunday 10 August 2008
first thing first: thank you for voting! due to obachan changing her opinion, now the standing between me and hany is 2:3 ("who looks more like my mom?" xD)
so, happy national day singapore! to summarise these 2 days into a single phrase: kaki gempor. yesterday my mom and aunt came. from the moment they arrived, we've been walking round and round for 2 whole days. this is, perhaps, rated 2nd "most sore feet condition because of too much walking" after my work in shangrila. according to hany's handphone, yesterday we walked about 15,000steps and today about 16,000?
so, what have we been doing since yesterday morning? firstly, we went to sentosa. yeps, i went to underwater world for the second time since more than 10 years ago O.O i didn't remember the entrance fee being so expensive! but, last time i wasn't the one handling money, so i wouldn't know anyway =p fascinating underwater world! i love the stingray pond =DD the stingrays are so naughty, they like to splash water out of the pond by splashing their body to the glass wall. when someone tried to catch one stingray, it zoomed out of reach like lightning xDD so fun! dugong aquarium was also fun. it looks so sweet ^_^ and i got to see it eating grass which was lowered from the top by a panel of wire-y stuff...
entrance to underwater world also includes a complimentary ticket to the dolphin lagoon. i didn't enjoy the atmosphere in the dolphin lagoon, what with the hot sun, limited space to sit, and after i got a place to sit, under a shade, several metres behind the main tents, people walked in front of us and stood there to watch. hell, i feel like throwing coconuts to their heads "oei! no blocking the view!" but otherwise, i love the dolphins!! it was very weird, i felt very emotional at several point of time while watching the show, and there's no reason to explain why O.O!! but i really love the dolphins...
i think the sun in sentosa made us a little bit crazy, coz right after that we decided to catch the fireworks at suntec...!! knowing full well what it means to catch a firework display (the hell of trying to find a place to watch, the hell of trying to find the way to go home), we went to suntec, ate at the food republic, and while trying to walk to esplanade we were able to catch the soldiers doing the folding-flag ceremony in suntec convention centre. it was cool, i've never seen anything like that before. they came marching into the suntec convention group per group, and then shouted some things (i've never been able to catch the commands given by the one yelling...) and then one person went to fold the flag held by several of the groups. (oh man, my description skill sucks!) and afterwards they marched out of the big space group per group and up to the escalator to the 2nd floor, LOL xDD
then, we went to marine parade to try to catch the firework. we couldn't even exit from the building!! there were waay too many people! giving up, we went to other exit to go home. on they way, we stopped by the toilet. several minutes after that, koko came back saying that we could go out by the other exit near the toilet, so we went running towards that exit and to the space outside where we could see esplanade. hoo boy, we were sooo lucky. minutes after that, came the fireworks xD my view was considerably blocked by some nearby trees, but i managed to squeeze my way towards the middle and watch in full view the firework from nearby esplanade. i know there was another one towards my left, but that one was almost completely blocked by the palm trees, so i focused my attention (and my aunt's digicam) to the fireworks nearby.
right after it ends, koko already lamented, "oh man, how are we going to go home?!" too true, going home was hell. it has always been. new year 2000 celebration, new year (whichever year when me and hany went to orchard with edmond, sbass and edmond's friend from sby) celebration, this.... in the end we walked (with out already-sore feet) to the monumen outside esplanade, to Raffles Hotel, to SMU, and to catch a bus back to orchard. then from orchard, we were really shagged, and decided to take taxi home.
only had one night to rest my feet before another gruelsome journey to johor today. wheee~~ fun, eh?
tomorrow, not much walking, i hope... we'll just be taking the house key, go to fu lu shou, go to chinatown, and hopefully by then my aunt needs to go back to drink her medicine, which would render her unable to get out of the house for the rest of the day xD
tonight i'll be dueling with my POOCHes. must finish all by tonight so that tomorow night i can focus on getting images which would correspond to those POOCHes. ganbare!
*POOCH: a way to do mindmap that lionel taught us the other day. POOCH stands for: Problem (thing to solve, answer), Options (what can be done about the problem), Outcomes (possible results of options) and CHoice (which option to choose)

right, it all started with a little random chat i've had with my mom about traditional wedding beliefs. she was saying that "kalo pengantennya udah masuk ke mobil trus brangkat dari rumah, jangan nengok ke belakang, ntar anaknya bisa jadi mirip sama orang rumah. coba loe liat, diantara loe orang ada ngga yg mirip diku saku mereka?"
to which i promptly answered, " ada."
a second of silence and we burst into laughter. it's been awhile that i realised that koko is looking more and more like my diku (2nd uncle), not in terms of face but more importantly in their gestures, especially when they were slightly irritated with something, hooo boy, when i saw my diku in that state, i can see the future of koko standing in front of me xDD
then when she was looking back at old pictures, she showed me this, and i thought, "wow, this can make an interesting photo to show you all. i could cover the rest of the pic and let you guess the people!"
i showed it just to see if other people can see the resemblance or not. but i guess it's not fair, coz nobody knows my parents' face, or my aunts and uncles (in this case xD)
so far, the votes are:
the girl: me -> 3 votes (nata, sbass, edmond)
the girl: hany -> 2 votes (lysia, tony)
the guy: koko -> 5 votes (unanimous, eh?)
the girl: my mom -> 2 votes (sbass and lysia who're cheating and making 2 choices xD)
the guy: my dad -> 1 vote (bass, you make 4 guesses leh, curang!)
here's the truth.
it's my late tua'i's (aunt) wedding picture.
this picture was taken perhaps more than 30 years ago? i didn't include the picture of her huband because i'm trying to focus on my mom and her siblings. from left to right (standing): my tuaku (eldest uncle), my mom, saku (3rd uncle) and diku (2nd uncle), my late tua'i.
when i said "picture editing tools", i was really just referring to me covering the rest of the picture, leaving two circles of my mom's face and my diku o.o not me doing something to the faces to make it look (quote tony) "retro" xD
to tell the truth, the result of the votes surprised me. i grew up by having people telling me that i look like my dad, not my mom o.O....

many things that we can do by picture editing tools!
i want you all to guess who are those two faces. leave me a comment on the tagboard! click on Hizaki.

according to newshfan, this is one SC which hasn't sucked, and she subbed the whole thing! this is also the first time Shige is MC-ing, replacing Nakamura. seeing by his words "mata raishuu" (see ya next week) at the end of the show perhaps Shige would be replacing Nakamura from now on?
i don't know much about Johnny's Juniors (though i can say that i'm good enough with the debuted groups from NEWS onwards xD) but i was quite entertained while watching. i definitely laughed a LOT! let me see, comments about the show:
- first song was sung by many small junior groups, among them Question (the ones playing musical instruments) and ... sorry i really don't know much about undebuted juniors.... except for shoon, whom, as far as i know, used to be belong to the same group as hikaru and yabu, both of whom are in hey say jump now. there are several voices in that group (who was singing with shoon) that i'm interested in =)
- tsubasa. sou desu ne. i don't know about anyone else, but i initially felt that Tsubasa was being overshadowed by Takki. maybe at first, yea? but it's never a doubt that he's a better singer than takki. i like him better now with that new hair, seems more sporty =D
- the group who sang Sayaendou with shige was also interesting, especially the guy who was standing just at shige's left side (from audience's point of view) ^^
- chirarizumu, always an interesting song to watch and listen to ^^ i really LOVE kei-chan wearing those glasses, it suits him a lot!!! xD
- hey say jump, my favourite 4 members are performing ^___^ yey~~ btw, i really like yamachan's impersonation of yamapi, eventhough everyone seemed not to be so impressed with it xDD in fact, in terms of voice and way of talking, i think he's good! yamapi DOES talk like that!!! lol.... but yamachan can't top yuuto who did a superb kame's impersonation xDD as expected of someone who spent 11 episodes of drama with kame, yuuto, you're the best! lol xDD
- hey say jump's new song, your seed, still hasn't grown into me, though the dancing was not bad. oh well, i was following chinen's movement everywhere xD
- Question?'s Parallel World was surprisingly good O.O i think they definitely can be successful successors to Tokio =D come now, johnny-san, announce their debut! =D
- hot blooded jr league sukkari sono kide FIGHT with tsubasa as guest. i haven't watched this in its entirety, but i watched the part when akun (Question?) and shoon was asked to talk in gyaru (teenage girl) way. oh! my! goodness!! i was screeching with laughter throughout the entire shoon talk xDDD he's SO freakin good at it, i had to give him an applause after he's finished xDD LOL, shoon! and, akun did a really good job too, in involving tsubasa in it xD tsubasa looked pretty much shocked xD
- i think tsubasa looked so much like louis khoo...don't you?
- Jr. ni Q. LOL, as newshfan had said, seemed like shige watched tesshi's sekai no hate made itteQ xDD sou desu ne, koyashige MC-ing, what would you expect? xD eventhough it's his first time MC-ing, since kei-chan was there, he wasn't nervous at all ^^ i've had fun watching them behaving childishly, and (most importantly) getting high while interviewing a cute lil 11-year-old junior called "sawai"
LOL! i like that sawai kid. he'd always said politically correct things. i mean, when asked who would you climb up to (for clearer context of the question, watch it yourself xD) and he started with NEWS, up to KAT-TUN (who, though debuted later, was average-ly older than NEWS) and then Arashi. he did jump over Hey Say Jump, but at least from NEWS and KAT-TUN he didn't suddenly jump to V6 or something =D
and, my favourite part throughout the entire show. when asked "who do you like", this sawai kid was like "umm, *clearly being courteous* koyama-kun". and then kei was like in half-disbelief, "maji de... sawai, maji de??" then went to protect the paper that sawai wrote from shige, "leave it there!" xD then, again asked, "why do you like me?" and sawai said, "uta ga umai" L!O!L! kei-chan was like *bracing against the wall* almost like saying *of all reason, this kid choose this reason, goodness* xDDD and when kei-chan added, "tegoshi to machigainai?" (did you mix me up with tegoshi?) LOL, i cracked up at that xDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
love kei-chan!!! he's the fun-est!!! fun-est-est! xDDD
- sasuga pro MC da, while shige was standing at the side looking pain-ed, kei-chan was acting as weirdly as that english-looking boy xDD he's good, kei-chan. if not, it would've been very very awkward! that english-faced boy, who can't speak english, told a cute story about why he wanted to go to england xD almost like WaT's owen, looking definitely caucasian but can't speak a word of english.
- yamachan got a solo performance. which was WOW~ O.O as someone who's used to sing and dance with no less than 4 other people on stage (usually it's with 9 others, or more!), i think he did a really good job. even massu, while performing solo, was backed by several dancers, deshou? yamachan has a brighy future in the showbiz ^^
- the ending song was okay... don't like it so much, but it's okay la. i think shige's improving in his singing? but kei-chan is definitely still better than him =P
-----
i think the conclusion for this segment of SC is that, err... i like kei-chan a lot? xD lol..........

i'm keeping my mind as positive as possible in this beginning of the semester. it's important that i build my mentality well earlier so that later on IF it drops, it won't go beyond the danger zone (my stress treshold limit is about A's level of stress) Labels: nihongo
but surprisingly, these 2 days went pretty well =) i've had nice teachers, non-intimidating teachers and no couldn't-care-less-unless-you-hunt-them-down teachers, not to mention peck leng who've always been a source of light to me (not to mention merry and mira) for the past 2 years. you know what, this year perhaps won't be quite as bad as i thought it would be =D well i just have to find a friend to eat lunch with, i guess...
went to choir with obachan just now. well, learning difficult songs always feels like hell at the beginning, but after mastering it, it would feel like a bliss ne ^^ 頑張れ! let's conquer Handel's Messiah!
today my sensei just replied me xDDD was SO happy to receive her email ^_____^ とっても 嬉しかったですよ! i thought that my mom sms-ed me the wrong addess or spelling and that my emails can't reach her... i feel a bit paiseh ah, emailing her like this, coz she corrected my grammar (in red fonts, no less xDDD) and i'm scared that i'm bothering her...
but at the same time, i'm happy that she's replying ^^ maybe i'll keep my nikki as short as possible so that she won't have to mark too much, ne? of course i'll try to watch my grammars too... but all my books and notes are in jakarta -_- until my mom's arrival this saturday, i can't cheat and take a peek at the book =P
btw if anyone's looking for a good japanese-english-japanese online dictionary, i'm currently using http://jisho.org and i think it's great =D there are many samples of sentences for the usage of a particular word, if you're searching from an english word, they'll give you a number of possible japanese word for it and how to use it. it's great =D
yosh, i gotta sleep, i'm already beyond my sleeping hour target -_-

hey hey hey! Ai Ai Gasa was released just around 2 months ago, and now they already have a new song!! banzai tegomassu!!!! =DDDDDDDD Labels: tegomass
Tegomassu - Kata Omoi Chiisana Koi
this is another Neo Angelique Abyss anime song, the second ending song. nyaaaa~~ can't wait for the new single ^^ tegomassu really does specialise in love songs ne~ i wish i know what the lyric means ^^
btw, i think they'd have enough to make a full album...ne? NEWS released pacific after Teppen, Sayaendou and Hoshi wo Mezashite single, right? and Touch was produced after News Nippon, Cherish, Akaku Moruyu Taiyou and Kibou Yell. so it'd mean that after 3-4 singles, they would be able to make an album... come on, Tegomassu debut album!! =DDDD just, don't put all the singles songs into it, i want new songs which weren't included in any singles ^^
they've sung A LOT of songs by zopp, ne? since his name is always written in romaji, i remember noticing his name everywhere... he and shusui both created Seishun Amigo, Sayaendou, With Me, Hadashi no Cinderella Boy and Miso Soup...

Saturday 2 August 2008
just came back from the wedding ceremony of my mom's cousin's son. that would make him my.......... err.....distant relative? xD anyway, was introduced to my mom's other cousin's daughter, who is studying in lasalle jakarta, and the stupid thing was that i forgot to ask her name -_- talk about being slow...
yosh, tomorrow is the last day to spend in jakarta before december holiday. no, i'm over my BTSS *yayy banzaii!!* and before i'm blogging back in singapore, let's see my past holiday to-do list and see which activities i actually managed to do. (i fear that there's only 1 i did...)
holiday to-do list on 31st may 2008:
1. japanese tuition
2. piano lesson
3. re-train myself on driving -_-
4. write my fanfic
5. produce a new blog layout
6. produce a tegoshi handphone theme
7. meet up with yessichan and yenche and vanity more than once!
8. susumu beki michi wa jibun de, jibun no ishi de kimereba ii~~
9. consider themes for next year and do a little bit of development
10. lose weight
aaaand, this is the holiday have-done list, by 2nd aug 2008:
1. japanese tuition: yay for finishing chapter 32!
2. didn't even try to look for one, due to difficulty of transportation, which was due to:
3. didn't re-train my driving skill. when hany go for her lessons, then i'll tag along too -_-
4. well, a little bit here and there =D i'm having fun with it, but....
5. nil. still in versailles mode, so i think it's alright xD
6. none XO why???? *shrugs* was too lazy to get photoshop and install it into my comp -_-
7. met yessichan once, haven't met yenche and van, eeeps!! >_<>
8. sou desu ne. at least for a year ahead i know that this is what i should do.
9. i've thought of a theme... haven't actually researched on it, much less making a development...
10. LOL! i gained weight instead xDDD so ridiculous... my fiery spirit to "not be heavier than tesshi" was so easily dashed by my aunt's arrival from belitung (coz with her was many yummy snacks~~)
11. i've attained priesthood! and in the middle of achieving lvl 50 for my sindit! not to mention training my newly-promoted fire mage (whose name contains the elements of winter -_-... was intending to make her into an ice/lightning mage, but i changed my mind last minute, and made her a fire mage instead xD whoever heard of a firemage whose name literally means "X of Winter?")
explanation on holiday have-done list point 4:
i watched discovery channel documentary about people whose brain activities changed due to accident to the head or severe stress. one person started painting like crazy and unstoppably started to create canvases after canvases of paintings after a car accident. before that he had never even touched a paint brush. another person, a doctor, had a miscarriage and was under severe stress and depression. she started writing like crazy everywhere, on the toilet paper, on her own arms, everywhere!
so, i'm thinking, perhaps my sudden burst of writing creativity was similar to that? i've started writing short stories when i was young, but never really got serious into it. as a gemini girl, i'm a dreamer, and sometimes i like to put those dreams into writing. but i started really writing things down, and got so into it during A's. in fact, in the middle of my A's preparation. methinks that it was because i was feeling very pressurised at that time, and perhaps some wires in my brain melted and joined to another circuit, thus enabling me to write so much and so easily.
the fanfic that i wrote at that time felt so easy to produce, and afterwards when i was reading it, i asked myself, how could i think up of something like this? now, as i'm writing, my mind sees gray clouds, and my story became really boring -_- not to mention it's hard to come up with that (boring) story -_-;;; my wires had snapped back into original position? if so, why can't the wires be arranged in a way that i can be a little bit clever? -_-;; i'm dreaming again, as usual...
anyway, about the memory card... oops xDDD i really didn't know about the high-speed thingy or whatsoever... there shouldn't be any problem with my M2 cards, but that 4gb micro sd card...erm...well if i can't use it for games, then perhaps i'll just use it to store things that i can watch =D maybe the whole of Never Ending Wonderful Story DVD xDD
nat, learn Tsubomi!!! ^_____^ i'm in love with Tsubomi!!!!
more like, i'm in love with tegomass singing Tsubomi xDDD but, it's really a nice song!
11:11 pm
technically, coz i count my weeks from sunday. i just hope they don't do something as stupid as "school reopening is delayed til next week" again like last semester -_-
so, the end of my (probably) last 3 months holiday had come. surprisingly i don't suffer much from BTSS. there are several reasons for that. maybe it's because i've received many advices from many friends, and now i'm lowering my tension towards the thought of school and will (try to) take it easy from now onwards. secondly, i want school to start early, go through it faster, and end it before i grow a head full of white hairs.
thirdly, and maybe most importantly, for the first time in history, my mom will be coming to singapore 3 times within a span of 2 months! =DD i think it's great, huehehehe... next weekend she's coming with my aunt for medical checkup. next month she's coming with my dad for my "early" convocation (if i'm allocated enough tickets, that is...) eventhough it's only for a few hours (they're coming in the afternoon and would be flying back home at night o.O). and then during hari raya they're going to come too!
i told her, "tiap kali gw mo balik sg, mama pura2 rencana mo kesana juga donk, biar gw ga stress" wahahahaha xDDD
i've finished my japanese lessons yesterday. banzai hana (/ ^^)/ in total, for 30 hours worth of lessons, we only added 5 more chapters from the point where i stopped 2 years ago. basically we spent more than 10 hours reviewing the 28 chapters, which i had forgotten more than half of everything, and then spent a sixth of the time doing transitive and intransitive verb, and then spent the rest on new chapters. the last 2 hours was spent correcting my compo, which i took more than 3 hours to do -_- i'm still far away from finishing Minna no Nihongo book II, but at least i'm improving ne...
niske sensei told me her email address and asked me to write to her using japanese, maybe a short "nikki". the first thing that came to my mind when she mentioned that word was: yamapi! xDDD maybe i'll do yamapi-style nikki. short, but often, so that i won't forget most of my stuff...
i've just "ngeborong" memory card from mangga dua o.o i'm using micro sd card (with pro duo adaptor) as my psp memory. i remember distinctly the person who sold me the psp saying that the memory card is around 60-70bucks? and here i could get a 4gb micro sd at half the price...! o.O my M2 card also cost only half the price in simlim. bought the 2gb M2 for me and hany. so happy, went on memory card shopping spree... (only bought 3 la)

featuring: Yoshiki
about: Yochan underwent a surgery to correct his spine, a problem that had persisted since 1995, when he finally started to feel numbness in his fingers. the surgery went fine, thank goodness. hopefully he will recover completely and it doesn't affect his piano playing. as for drums...don't forget your neck braces everytime you drums, yochan!
etc: read below xD i've made too many layouts featuring Yoshiki i don't wish to repeat myself =P
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v457/arsenalx/?action=view¤t=ekkusu3.jpg
Featuring: Versailles
Background: formed in 2007 by founding member Kamijo (ex Lareine) and Hizaki (ex Sulfuric Acid), they released their debut single Revenant Choir which tells a story about a clan.
Just as like Kamijo's past works, Versailles tells a story through their symphonic metal music and extravagantly elaborate costumes inspired from antique European era.
Members: Kamijo (vocals), Hizaki (guitar), Teru (guitar), Jasmine-You (bass), Yuki (drums)
etc: Versailles beautiful music managed to win my heart totally. saddened by the loss of Jasmine-YOU in 2009, but i hope the 4 of them will still make great music from now onwards. rest in peace, Jasmine-YOU, and watch out for the guys from up there...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v449/arsenal_x/ekkusu2.1copy.jpg
featuring: S.K.I.N.
Background: Formed in 2007, performed first during Anime Expo at the States in May.
Members: Yoshiki (drums, piano, guitar), Gackt (vocal, piano), Sugizo (guitar, violin), Miyavi (guitar, shamisen)
etc: ekkusu phase 2.0 was lost because i didn't save it in photobucket (because it refused to upload it properly).
and so, from now i'll start my skin from phase .1 instead of .0

Featuring: Hiruma Youichi
Model's background: manga character (Eyeshield 21)
More about the model: quarterback of Deimon Devilbats, The Commander From Hell;
the backbone and the brain behind Deimon High School's American Football Club, The Deimon Devilbats.
Icons: various facial expressions of Hiruma, the maniacal, elven-faced leader of Devilbats ^^
Etc: Eyeshield 21 is a sports manga about American Football and it's one of my current favourite.
My rating for them is:
hilarity 10/10
excitement: 9/10
intellectual level: 9/10
drawing: 7/10
characterisation: 9/10
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v457/arsenalx/?action=view¤t=yoshiki56trialwithrollovercopy.jpg
Featuring: Hayashi Yoshiki
Model's background: leader, drummer, pianist, main composer of legendary band X Japan (1982-1997); leader, drummer, pianist,
guitarist, composer of band Violet UK, debut coming soon.
More about the model: Yoshiki in the early X Japan era in early 90's when he still has long curly locks.
Etc: YOSHIKI IS MY HERO AND IDOL!

Featuring: Hayashi Yoshiki
Model's background: leader, drummer, pianist, main composer of legendary band X Japan (1982-1997); leader, drummer, pianist,
guitarist, composer of band Violet UK, debut coming soon. Born in Tateyama, Chiba (Japan) in 20th November 1965 and currently living in Los Angeles, California (USA).
Head company of Extasy Records, Extasy Japan and Extasy Records International (now defunct). http://myspace.com/yoshiki
More about the model: the faint background picture of Yoshiki was taken in the recent years when he's already cut his hair short and
started the habit of wearing sunglasses.
Icons: pictures taken from Yoshiki's house in LA: his front door, piano in the middle room, dining room and swimming pool.
Etc: I can write essays on Yoshiki, but let's just keep it simple and straightforward: YOSHIKI IS MY HERO AND IDOL!
