introducing to you: Within Temptation! a Dutch band whom i just discovered (but they've been around for 10 years!) and whose songs i like a lot. no question about it, their lines are gothic rock, and the vocalist has beautiful voice!
i found out about them completely by accident. was browsing koko's music files inside his handphone and was transfering whatever nice into my handphone. this song and 2 others (Pale and Hand of Sorrow) were some of them. when i transferred them into the computer and listened more closely (and using a better pair of earphones too) they sound really great!
and who says song-sharing kills artists???!!!
*adding Within Temptation album under CD Wishlist*
ps: just adding comments ( i think i'm gonna keep editing this post as i surf the net tonight, i'm in my check-out-new-music-and-old-stuff mood tonight =p). those who watch Bleach would know the song by Younha, Houki Hoshi. now that's the right title, Houki HOSHI, not BOSHI. you know, the kanji for star, hoshi? yes that hoshi, NOT boshi = hat but hoshi = star. it was written clearly in the PV, check youtube for it. now don't sing wrongly anymore =)
Younha - an audition song
that was when she was 16, singing "Asu e No Tobira" by I Wish for an audition for a record label in japan. at least that's what it sayd in youtube ^^;;
i like younha. she might be the only korean singer that i really like. her voice is clear, she plays piano well, and so far i liked all her songs that i've heard (te wo tsunaide, houki hoshi, the song above, hehe). Bleach had intruduced her and Yui to me.
hany said Yui can't sing -_-... i agree that she doesn't sound too good doing life-singing, and i can't deny her accusation that her voice is airy. but, i liked the lightness of her voice. Life and Rolling Star (both Bleach ost), Cherry, My Generation, Goodbye Days, i've heard them. they're easy to listen to, normal pop song, but there's something about her voice that i just like =) it's just.....light =) haha...
YUI - Life (Bleach OST)
actually at first my attention was caught by that song because the ending of some words are a bit...funny. if you'd notice, she pronounced 'ikite yukeru' as 'kite-yuker'. later on i know that sometimes she has this (cute) habit of dragging words until they sound (cutely) weird =P check out My Generation, part of the chorus that she drags 'you ni' into 'you ni~w' ^^ basically she often doesn't do ending vowels as crisply cut as most japanese singers do.
8:08 pm
i've been trying to get The Revenant Choir from sendspace since yesterday. it kept showing me message that i was already d0wnloading (when i actually was NOT) and even after i went to the test connection page and it showed that there wasn't a proxy at my IP address and it said it has refreshed and updated the error#10, it still wouldn't allow me to open the d/l box. was so frustrated!!! Labels: hizaki
but! behold, just now i just finished the whole transfer under 5 minutes! YES!!! i was following the progress in anxiety, direct transfer always scares me because when the connection is lost it means that the whole file is gone, unlike when i'm using d0wnload manager like flashget. it went 80%... 85%... 90%.. 91...92...93..94...95...96...97...98.....99...100%!!!!!!!! YES!!!!! =DD
that song gives me the shivers, especially the introduction....
somehow i'm able to appreciate and get immersed to music more when i'm not disctracted by anything else. yochan might think that music and visual goes hand in hand, some people might enjoy songs better when they're watching the PV, but i find that visual element distracts my mind away from the music. somehow i watch the people, the dress, the way they move, and everything else, instead of really listening to the melody and the song. so when i found a great song, it's very important for me to be able to listen to it, and just listen to it, without needing to watch it.
come 31october, i'll be paying HMV Japan another visit v(^^ come on, Versailles' first album!!!

... at least for those who are using HP printers.
my junk collecting habit is genetical, i guess my mom must've passed it down to me. i collect anything and everything that i think might be useful in the future. most of the time, it's an impulse to keep things, not to throw them away. i've collected a number of many useless things. but this time, one of them might prove to be an unpolished gem.
when i was studying in st marg's, one day mrs lee announced that HP was going to have some event called 'save the earth' event or something, and that students who have empty hp printer ink cartidges could bring those to school and dump them into a special box placed in front of the teacher's room. that was years ago, but i don't know why since then i always keep my empty ink cartridges, be it epson's or hp's.
just now i went to buy some new cartridges at sim lim, atlantic shop. i've been there 3 times, twice to buy and once for checking price. i found that they have the lowest price for my ink cartridges, so i keep going back there for my inks. just now, the person who'd been assisting my purchases so far asked me, "what do you do with the empty ones?"
i said, "i keep them at home."
he laughed? no way man, he asked me to bring them in! "we'll buy the empty ones for a dollar each," he said.
!!!!!!
one of my junk-collection item had turned out to be a bunch on unpolished one-dollars =DDD haha... i counted my empty cartridges just now, there were 11, which means $11 ^^)v
junk-collectors out there, don't lose heart yet. perhaps one day one of your junky-item would turn out to be unpolished gem too xD
11:54 pm
why now?? why today??? -_- ;;;
just on the day that i need to get out of the house, it rains. but at least i have no school today... anyway, my handphones is spoiled again. i'm guessing that it might be problems with the memory card and the themes that i downloaded yesterday. one day i'm gonna take it to the service centre, but for the time being i guess i just need to keep it on all the time.
anyway, i was thinking of The Revenant Choir. the song's resemblance to lareine's is uncanny. not surprising, though, coz kamijo's in it. eventhough the melody might come from hizaki, i'm quite sure that kamijo supervised the lyrics. just like lareine whose songs depict a story which became a concept for their album, like Fierte no umi to tomo ni kiyu and Lilie Charlotte, The Revenant Choir also has a story in it.
Versailles - The Revenant Choir
Aristocrats, beautifully attired
In a world filled with the smell of roses
There lived two clans
One who believes that death brings everlasting happiness
The others seek eternal life
One day both dreams become reality
The others would never be destroyed
They were forced to life in loneliness
Like a never ending punishment
June 2007
The others' time had come
Descendants of rose appeared
With the meeting
The memory of that day came flooding back
And the story
Begins
I'm proud of them.
Pleasure like fear
It's a night when the moon laughs at lover
The time has came for you
I will resurge and shouts and bites
Stay away!
Do you want to go with me?
They called it..."The red carpet day"
The floor covered by delicious looking roses
The time has came for me.
I will resurge. No control!
Poured crimson adomiration into...
Our clan's blood will not stop forever
If you wish, I would become a rose
Our clan's blood is a lifetime lover
Stay, choir of sorrow and pains
My dearest descendant, please stab my belly
Oh so again
Please stab my heart
The time has came for me
I will resurge. No control!
Poured crimson adomiration into Holy Grail
Our clan's blood will not stop forever
If you wish, I would become a rose
Our clan's blood is a lifetime lover
Stay, choir of sorrow and pains
記憶の中の紅い血を薔薇に変えていた
響く Her shout and Choir
Our clan's blood will not stop forever
If you wish, I would become a rose
Our clan's blood is a lifetime lover
Stay, choir of sorrow and pains
記憶の中の紅い血を薔薇に変えていた
響く Her shout and Choir
The time has came for us
Long time sleep passed
The world turns in hand of descendant of the rose
Our clan's blood will not stop forever
Stay, choir of sorrow and pains
Our clan's blood is a lifetime lover
Without you, would be gone Far away...
The descendants join the ancestors
In an eternity of loneliness
She was One who believed in death.
the narration lyric was from me and the song lyric belongs to the owner of hizaki.altervista.org/versailles website. one of the lyric said "They called it..."The red carpet day", The floor covered by delicious looking roses" -> as far as Inertia had reported, we know that there is a song called Red Carpet Day by Versailles. now i know that they are going in the direction like Lareine, to create a story with songs. great! =D i don't care whatever story they wanna come up with, their songs are just great!
i read from hizaki.altervista.org/versailles website that they're gonna release a mini-album this coming halloween. hopefully it's true and they don't have TYH (the yoshiki habit, teeheeehee) ^;^)
anyway, THE RAIN HAS STOPPED!!
*rush to leave the house* jyaa!

...that the accumulation of my pay, this time, will go towards a HIZAKI album, be it HIZAKI grace project album or Versailles', whichever i can get. Labels: hizaki
i can't remember when i started listening to hizaki, i can't even remember when was the first time i heard of his name, but i know that it was around the period when i started frequenting Dance Macabre website, so in my mind i'm thanking them for bringing me to hizaki's music.
i can't thank them enough for the wonderful songs!! and, unlike ratings from other websites or other people, i trust about 90% of the judgement of the ratings that they give to songs, coz usually the higher the rating is, the better i like the songs =D and they also give a short introduction of every song they put up, a bit of history and their lines of music, and it's pretty educational for someone like me who likes JRock but don't know that many bands to be able to call myself a fan. some more, the layout of the site is great! visit Dance Macabre now!! =DD (side note: some people asked where do i get my songs from: this is one of the best sources around, really =D)
*listening to Race Wish and Philosopher* finally i found my favourtite guitar player! *glomps hizaki*
it's good-bye-to-3rd-place for Mana and hello-to-3rd-place for Hizaki. soon i'll be sending him up one more level above Lareine if Mayu doesn't show up soon... but anyway even if Mayu comes back, Kamijo is already with Hizaki in Versailles.......... *sigh*
commenting on some songs in this rotation:
Izabel Varosa: Destinee (Lareine cover) -> if i hadn't read the short comment given there, i would've thought that it was Kamijo singing, in another band xD the vocalist sounded about 90% similar to kamijo, cool!
HIZAKI grace project: Philosopher and Race Wish -> *sends a big HUG for whoever doing the website* I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH!
Hizaki: Mizerable -> very interesting. let's study this for a minute: this song was sung by Seiji, now the vocalist in Moi dix Mois, under Mana. Hizaki, on the other hand, had Juka, ex-Moi dix Mois, under HIZAKI grace project too. so it seems like Mana and Hizaki were doing a member switch, like my-vocalist-for-your-vocalist kind of trade =D (^^ of course i'm just guessing ^^ anyway, i still like Juka's voice better than Seiji o.o hizaki, good for you. mana, i don't know what you're thinking but if that suits you, i'll support you still ^^
ganbatte, minna-tachi! neo-classical/visual rock/gothic forever! p(^^)q <---copied from versailles blog entries =D so cute, huh? like "ganbatte" action ^^

if hana kimi the manga has many eye-catching characters, hana kimi the drama has only one who keeps stealing my attention: nakatsu. i don't pretty much into him in the manga, but he is so adorable here! nakatsu all the wayyyy! =D he's super..duper..cute xD in a really silly way xDDD the way he got two pinkish oval cheek and then mizuki's "nakatsu, chikai..." was... *pinches nakatsu* Labels: drama movie
who's the actor's name by the way? =D
oh i've given up on the storyline. it seems that other than the basic backbone of the story, they're gonna change everything else, sano's not gonna get any less arrogant and distant, doctor's not gonna start growing longer hair and getting cuter, the school's not gonna get any less crazy, and so on and so forth...
so may as well follow and enjoy -_-
HOLD ON!!! "Konbanwa, Akiha Hara desu," tte NANDE??!?!??!?!??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they freakin changed akiha's gender!!!!!! >.<
hold on. did she said akira hara or akiha hara? o.O man, hara akira-san?!?!?!??! nande are????????????? i guess they won't be showing akiha-san then, since they combined the character of both hara akiha and the irritating reporter as one and made this character hara akira.......... *wails* there goes my hope of seeing akiha-san.................
akira: "kono gakuen, daijoubu kana?" *nods nods*
nanba: "nanda kore?" *nods nods*
shun oguri is best playing a delinquent character like in gokusen =P
oh man i hate shin's face >.< he looks like a real delinquent...
6:48 am
how can i not love this man?
quoting Yoshiki's blog on myspace:
"PPS: The day before yesterday, in the airplane on the way to Japan, I had a really weird dream... I almost ... Well, I think I screamed!! The flight attendant came to me and said "Are you OK? ..." Then I said "THE RICE MONSTER IS TRYING TO EAT ME!!!".... And she said.... "WHAT????" and I said... mmmm... ah... "Never mind... ah.... Could I have a glass of Champagne and Caviar please?"... OH MY GOD!!!..... "I am so embarrassed"... I've been doing a "special diet" and training, in order for me to play drums even harder... Since then "THE RICE MONSTER" has been showing up in my dreams. Ha ha ha ha ha!!!"
and especially, how can i NOT love this man???
quoting yoshiki's blog on myspace:
"I don't know why but as soon as I started playing the drums on the stage at the Long Beach, so many memories started filling my head…..
Don't get me wrong… I was very excited playing with these amazingly brilliant members, but I started feeling a little sad, and a few times tears filled my eyes and blurred my vision….. Very strange…..
I don't think I've conquered the sadness of past X Japan memories yet…..
But at the same time I felt like I found the place to live….. Besides inside of the dark recording studio.
Being on stage….. Breathing with you….. And beating the beat along with your heartbeats…..
I don't know how long I should be, and I can be….. But I found a place again ….where I belong.
I'd like to feel the sound
I'd like to feel your breath
I'd like to feel your heartbeat
I'd like to feel your scream
More and more…..
I love you,
YOSHIKI "
the first post made me "pffttt!! LOL!!!xDD"
the second post made me "aww....yochan....*huggies*"
/(^^)/ yoshiki forever \(^^)\
anyway i'm website browsing again, but i'm also started doing my body sketches and after this i'm gonna start designing the clothes. hizaki has an official blog and he's also very cute.
those who can understand a bit of japanese, scroll down to 7th august 2007, it's a simple and cute and weird blog entry that is easy to understand:
quoting & translating hizaki's blog:
"what day is it?
Today is the 8th month 7th day, it's banana day! !
Everyone eats banana yeah *star*"
xDD is it me or is it common for rockstars have such cute blog entries?? ^^
i found versailles official myspace!! cool! and the other members also writes in the blog, in ENGLISH!! so far i've not seen hizaki's ;_; but the others' are pretty cute too ^^
okay, back to my desk~
2:53 am
*sigh* did i say i gotta go to do jonathan's work? seems my heart revolted and refused to allow my body to move to my desk to do work. Labels: drama movie
after 1 hana kimi episode, perhaps...
anyway! i agree with nata whole heartedly, nakatsu is super cute! if in the manga i'm obsessed with umeda-sensei, i think here i'm gonna be a fan of nakatsu. umeda-sensei is so...cruel! in the manga he was cold, and sometimes rough with the kids (especially in the manner of conversation) but he'll never ever do something as cruel as squeezing an injured foot of a student!! geez... *punches umeda-sensei in the drama* and, geez, that reporter supposed to be like mortally afraid of umeda-sensei, not the other way round *rolls eyes*
when can i start watching something that i've read before without much criticism....? this is beginning to become a habit, a bad habit...
lol, nakatsu is super duper cu-ute! i think this drama will emphasize on his confusion upon his feeling of fancy towards mizuki. and i think i'm gonna like kayashima too, just i liked him in the manga.
uohh!!! kagurazaka is cute!!! why are they assigning people are cute as casting of characters who don't need to be so cute, and characters who are supposed to be cute are assigned otherwise...????????? lol, nakatsu...so pointless!!! "are you also...that?" xD sorry i'm commenting as i watch along the drama =D
teeheehee, "it's the first time i failed" -> xDD kayashima
nata said nanba minami's not cute, but i think he IS! well, at least he's one who've been acting on equal level with the manga story. and that hair IS cute =DD
eh! who's that girl with bulging eyes like a toad who's so freakin irritating? i don't remember characters like her at all in the manga o.O >.< -_-;;;
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my goodness me, that story is totally uncalled for -_-;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; where GOT such incident??????????????? arghhhhh they're destroying the story, not just changing it slightly >.<
yuujiro's cute ^^ i love golden rerievers. and, ashiya looks cuter with short manly hair than that baby-doll's curly locks =P is that okay to show her boobs like that?!?!?
ih..... lol..... oguri shun looks weird laughing.... xDDD!!

Saturday 25 August 2007
so this year they allow the public to go for the natsu matsuri again. the last time i went there was on 2005, which was on my A's year O.O wow... last year they said it was strictly for members of the japan association singapore only. i guess that was because they were revamping the field. in '05 there was a running track surrounding the field and stalls were locared on the tracks, but this year the whole area was grass field, no running track, and all stalls were at the atriums inside the school while on the field they had the stage and several huuge plastic sheets around the stage for people to sit down and have like picnic.
in '05 nata and me promised to "come at 2pm next year and rent the yukata!", but the next year we couldn't participate. this year we came even later, at 5++pm, and there were like so many people queuing, about 2000++ strong people i guess. in the end we couldn;t get entry ticket, which is like $6 worth of coupons. luckily we could still purchase it inside.
in the end we spent it mostly on food. korean sausage, yakitori, kataame (i think) (candy floss), sausage, chijimi pancake, and finally, because we need to finish the coupons, edamame. i also went for the yoyo game, unfortunately my string broke after i fished out only 1 balloon ;__; but still i was luckier than obachan whose string broke when she tried to fish out her first balloon. that was $1.50 down the pool =p
there were some cute masks being sold, but i didn't buy any coz i thought they were quite expensive. but still it was kinda fun to wear those masks at the back of your head, deshou? so next year i'm definitely going to buy the mask =) there were some little kids, all wearing the masked rider mask (or something similar) and were pretending they were superheroes, SO cute! ^^ too bad they moved around too much, i couldn't take pictures =p
anyway. tomorrow working. still got jonathan's work. my aircond is spoiled, it's freakin hot. i'm in totally no mood to do my work. but it's like 'do now or die tomorrow' kind of situation >.< fine, at least i gotta start sketching out the 5 outfits today and with proper postures. tomorrow then i worry about colouring and the trend board -_-
sheesh, ruined my happy mood after natsu matsuri -_-;;;
~meloday: Hizaki GRACE Project - Solitude. http://esnips.com is a nice place to listen to songs =) though their music player is a bit buggy now (Try clicking on the red box on top...) i still quite like. hopefully someone upload Versailles's The Revenant Choir song soon.
11:08 pm
X JAPAN AOI YORU SHIROI YORU COMPLETE BOX!!!!!
it arrived yesterday!!!!! love ya HMV Japan!!!! wooohooo!!! just hours after my computer was delivered back by the HPman, wooohooooo!!!!! now i'm blogging from my own room, no longer restricted to koko's small laptop monitor ^^)v
i must admit that being too comfortable with this big monitor has a setback. for one, it feels weird to be designing 600x800 blog layout, and for another i feel so weird when i went back home and played computer at my cousin's net cafe, it felt...small =p and because of that i didn't really read my manga collection back home, coz i used the picture and fax viewer which displays the pages at monitor's size so that i can simply click the "->" arrow to turn to the next page without needing and scrolling down or up, thus i had to squint at the monitor to read the words >.<
my blog hates blogthings. it can not be displayed! instead of appearing at this blog box, it appeared up there just below the music player -_- sheesh...
oh, yesterday i watched some SKIN's video, fan video that is. i didn't dare to watch too much coz of the compromised quality, but the one that i watched was pretty cool. it started with a piano melody, repetitious, and gackt appeared sitting behind a grand piano. some minutes later, another piano melody was heard, and yoshiki was behind another grand piano, playing with his usual hair-swishing habit (yochan, your hair's no longer as long as it was in '92, you know =p).
and THEN, violin!! at this point i was "oh my goodness, sugizo!!!!"-ing excitedly, and sugizo was seen standing some metres away from yoshiki, playing the violin. and last but not least, miyavi was shone, sitting down with a shamisen (traditional japanese guitar-like instrument) on his hand. i admit that i couldn't hear miyavi, but at some point, as hany had pointed out, i could hear some snapping of the strings, so it should be him.
the song couldn't really be described as a song, really. it was just a show-off of each individual's music skill and their orgasmic performance. pardon the expression, but if you watch the video, you'll understand why i choose that word =p. at some point of time, yoshiki started his piano-banging, sugizo started screeching on his violin and miyavi, oh well i couldn't hear miyavi, honestly... but according to hany, only gackt remains steady on his melody.
soon after that, they reappear back, this time back on original position; miyavi and sugizo on electric guitar and yoshiki started drumming hard. i couldn't remember but i think i didn't see yochan with his neck-guard.....!!!!!!! >.< yochan.......
after that, i saw a video called SKIN Photoshoot. man, they looked....fantastic together! and from that video, i arrived at the conclusion that the younger generation is taller than the earlier generation. i mean, if you look at age wise, starting from the youngest it's: miyavi, gackt, sugizo, yoshiki. but look at their heights! starting from the TALLest is also: miyavi, gackt, sugizo and yoshiki! (i think, i can;t see their heels!!)
hany said gackt looked ugly there. i said they all looked great! someone said in the youtube comment that yoshiki looked 25. i said, something, haha, i shouldn't post it here ^^
after browsing some hot discussion under the video, i come with a prediction. the band might be great and mighty, but i hardly think the fans can be united. unless all fans are like me, guai guai xDDD just look at them dissing other band members, "oh yoshiki is so full of himself!" "oh no, gackt is more full of himself!" and yadda-yadda-yadda....
i mean, geez people, we should be thanking God Almighty for the chance of seeing these people performing together in a single song, we should be like so freakin grateful that there IS this band called SKIN! i know each of us used to support at the very least one of the members, but now that they're together why can't you learn to love the other members too?
follow in my footstep! see, since the last time i made that vow, i've learnt successfully to like and love miyavi. in fact when i went to the HMV i was holding one of his singles and almost bought it. see?? i can learn to love him, why can;t you do the same for the others??
anyway enough rambling. i'm going off to the natsu matsuri ^_^ jyaa ne~~

Friday 24 August 2007
this time it's triggered by: OBACHAN DONAT!! =P
testing.... i can't see the blogthings things..can you? o.O
kayaknya blog gw error lagi....... helep.....
meanwhile, let's just get some err, wording done. yesterday was out with mimi and we were chatting after dinner coz we hate to take the bus during rush hour. so, while we were chatting we talked about school stuff and creative profile and whatnots. i heard a phrase that i heard from lin some time ago, something along the line of, "you should become a writer" coz i could turn a difficult question into a lengthy essay, or so it seemed to her.
now i hate to say this myself but sometimes it just slipped out of my mouth: what am i doing here?
when i asked that questions in JC, i was in a deep shyt, really deep, irretrievable valley of stinking shyt, as proven by my A's cert, and i was asking that question earnestly. but yesterday it was just a slip of the tongue.
it's true that i'm still surviving in this course. it's true that i will NOT drop out of the course (let's not categorise my current plan to stop at diploma instead of continuing with a degree under 'dropping out' category, shall we?) and it's true that i like what i'm doing right now.
but it's also true that i want to explore more things that i can do, that i can learn, like the idea that i should try to exlpore my writing ability. it's true that i have no plan to start working anytime soon and that i still wish to learn and study as many things as i can (or my dad can support me, in this case).
sometimes i feel ashamed when i talk to friends who have grand plans of 'working as fast as possible and return dad's money' because, hell, i sound like some ungracious, ungrateful and lazy little brat who still wish to leech off her parents' money eventhough she could start earning money on her own -_- which sounds, well, sad... and so far i've not met anyone who plan to learn and study more after their convocation day. everyone seems to be looking up upon that day as THE day, you know...
why am i the weird one...?
oh btw, tomorrow's LASALLE's convocation day. by right school should close, but apparently 'part time lecturers will still be there' so i still gotta go to school for cultural and historical lecture by anja. *sigh*

shoot, what am i doing when i'm supposed to be doing my design studio workkkkk!! it's all obachan's fauuuultttt!!! obachan, all your fault!!!! Labels: drama movie
anyway, just a quick comment then (hopefully it'll be quick). i haven't watched the taiwanese ella version (and highly unlikely will do so in the near future) but i've read the manga. what i can say is that: they change the nature of the school and story. it feels a bit hanayori-dangoish than original hana kimi, what with the school being such a 'prestigious' school with countless girls screaming head-over-heels for the boys' arrival, it just feels too hanayori-dangoish, and doesn't exist in original hana kimi manga.
add that to the dark and arrogant character of Sano Izumi, which is more like domyouji than the original sano, definitely didn't leave a good first impression on me.
some more, hana kimi characters are superbly drawn and devised that it SHOULD take a really, truly, honest-to-goodness cute-adorable-and-pretty boy to play the irritating (at first) Nakao Senri or a really, truly, almost-impossibly handsome but cold man to play Umeda Hokuto or a really truly cool and cold and emotionless and expressionless boy to play Kayashima Taiki. i've not seen umeda-sensei, but i'm definitely disappointed in the casting for Nakao! or Kayashima, in that matter! -_-"""
BUT! BUT! ....
i definitely like Horikita Maki!! japanese actors might be the good-looking droolicious boys that i like, but it's almost always the actresses who draw me into a particular JDrama. in this case, horikita maki. she's the only one, so far, who are acting above my expectation of hana kimi the drama, cuter and more adorable than the mizuki in the manga =P
i guess they just need to squeeeeeze in several chapters in the manga into one episode so that the story can be understood even by people who don't read the manga, ne? i don't like sano here (he's too grouchy), i don't like nanba minami either, no actually he's kinda okay (and that hair IS cute) but i definitely don't like nakao senri (haloo? if you can't get guy as cute as the original nakao in the manga, get hizaki!) and i don't like kayashima too much either (he omits the 'weird' aura and he has too much expression on his face), BUT i really like mizuki, and i hope umeda-sensei won't prove to be such a big disappointment, and hopefully neither hara akiha will.
ps: i definitely definitely definitely like the dog too!! xDD
pps: (finished watching 1st episode) grrr.. no, umeda-sense is definitely a disappointment..... but kayashima is not =)

yesterday i brought the latest Fool's Mate (that one featuring Yoshiki, the one i went "aaaaaaaaa!!!!" for ^^;; ) to school for joyce to see. one reason is, of course, because i want to show her yoshiki. another reason was because: i want to show her hizaki!!
absolutely shook her off. i couldn't be more original than other people, but the very best phrase to describe Hizaki is: he's prettier than a girl! and wait til she watch what he could do with his hands on a guitar...
i went to look for Race Wish guitar solo again at youtube just now, the one which totally captured my attention and put Hizaki Grace Project in my top 5 favourite band, and i saw some arguments that titled: mana versus hizaki.
those who know both persons will know and realise that this debate is absolutely inevitable. why? some people say "why are people keep comparing the two? they're like 2 different people!" but still they share similar traits that are bound to invite comparison, like:
- both are guitarists
- both write goth-themed songs
- both are well-known to be leader of band(s)
- and (here we come, the most obvious and observable factor) both are extremely pretty guys who wear elaborate, eye-catching lolita clothes, though mana had abandoned his cutesy-lolita look and now opted for much darker and scarier look.
when i introduced hizaki to joyce, i said, "this is one person whom i admire almost as much as i admire mana!"
*fending off rubbish and rotten eggs thrown by hizaki fans* BUT i have strong reason to say that!
no doubt i'm absolutely crazy about hizaki's guitar solo (race wish and other songs), but i've just known about him for less than half a year. i have heard very little of his songs and thus i don't know very well what kind of music he writes. WHILEAS for mana, i've been following him since like half a decade ago and i know exactly his style of music, and i know exactly that i like what he writes (especially the malice mizer post-gackt era).
although it's true that mana had not shown his skill in guitar as much as hizaki had done (which invites some accusation that mana 'can't do it', but i think it might not be true) i have absolute faith in him in terms of songs. yes yes, i've not heard Dixanadu yet, but still without Dixanadu, i know mana's feel much better than i know hizaki's.
and even now, Hizaki is following too closely behind Mana's step.
now give me a few more months to save money to buy a Hizaki Grace Project album and/or Versailles album and Dixanadu, and then we'll see if Hizaki Grace Project or Versailles would take over Moi dix Mois place at the 3rd place of my fave band list.
...actually, just give me a couple of weeks, or even days, to fish out more hizaki-related videos from youtube and see if Hizaki would take over Mana's place at my 2nd favourite musician list (which is not listed anywhere here but definitely topped by yoshiki)
meanwhile (i cheated and went to watch some videos while writing this post, thus hizaki is edging even closer to mana, i'm sorry mana) enjoy this song by Versailles which consisted of Hizaki at guitar and Kamijo (Lareine) at vocals. mind you, Lareine is still at number 2 oh my fave band list and i have no intention of moving them down, yet, at the moment, but...who knows? *winks*
don't forget to click on the small round button at the music player up there to stop the Concerto Pour Deux Voix song.
........ shoot, now i want this song too!!!
*ticking off things to save money for* Swan Lake, Magic Flute, The Nutcracker... arghhhh how many more months should i wait to buy the albummmm *wails* someone get me a high-paying easy-doing no-commitment-needed job!!!!

years ago, when yessichan was hooked on arashi and starting to become more j-frenzied than me because of johnnys and their army of droolicious guys, i looked at her with a raised eyebrow, shook my head and sighed.
beware of what you do to other people for it might happen to you too.
i was reading more closely on Junon featuring hana kimi castings that i bought some days ago and was reading the names. shoot, i think i'm gonna fall behind her footsteps. i recognised some names that nata used to mention. if last time i could read upon those names with a "huh? oh, a johnny. okay," reaction, now i would most probably do a "huh? teppei? yes he's cuuuteee!!!! XDDDD" reaction
o.O..... big time.....
what's happening to meeee???????????

one of the places that i also visited during my rare time alone in orchard was the library and, hey man, they've stocked up on more mangas!! starting from the mangas that i've long read like naruto, bleach, inuyasha and ranma 1/2, to mangas that they (the lib) introduced to me like flame of recca and rave, to mangas that i've been yearning to start reading or continue reading like nana or eyeshield 21!! they also have yu-gi-oh, one piece, maison ikkoku, and one that i've borrowed but dunno why i did (since the pictures look so gloomy and dark and...uninteresting perhaps?) called blame. i gotta start reading more manga!!! =D
just now bought a JDrama series by yamashita tomohisa and kamenashi kazuya (for Johnny's freaks maybe you're more used to call them yamappi and kame) called ambulance. don't ask me why i bought it -_-'' it's an impulse buy! (and because kame is so darn cute xP)
nat!! i emailed SYC like last year! are you sure you wanna go for their audition (next one)? i wanna join choir too but SYC's schedule's a bit....scary? -_-;; dou??
this is totally unstructured post -_-;; i'm still a bit blur after getting trapped in traffic jam for about 1 and a half hour due to the hanabi and followed by waiting for 131 bus for about half an hour or more.... time to sleep, i mean bathe....

Thursday 16 August 2007
for the first time since many many many months ago (a year perhaps?) i finally spent a quiet afternoon alone at orchard and visited all the places that i wanted to visit and be there as long as i like to be.
HMV at heeren. that place is either the damnest of hell or the greatest of paradise for me. for one, they've FINALLY taken into consideration the feelings of JRock listeners and had FINALLY stocked up on more JRock bands. starting from Alice Nine, Gazette, MUCC to Moi dix Mois. I also saw Miyavi for the first time in the shelf and was sorely tempted to buy one of his singles just because he looked so darn good-looking in the cover page and I'm in need of great-looking guys to practice my newest collection illustration upon. but in the end i thought i wouldn't listen to the CD, so i let it down. THEN i saw gackt's no ni saku hana you ni, that beautiful beautiful beautiful song packaged in a beautiful CD with a beautiful gackt on the cover page. was sorely sorely tempted to buy it too, but, shoot my wallet is not too free at the moment, so i, sadly and heavily, let it down again ;__;
i also picked up several more CDs which i really really want to have, like X TV Soundtrack with double cover page, Kamui and Fuma respectively, making one cohesive illustration when they stood next to each other; or 2 of Yui's albums, each containing some songs that i like and priced pretty reasonably too at about 21bucks; or Nakashima Mika's albums; or Laruku's Awake Tour which is under my DVD wishlist currently, or many many many of hide's singles which were released recently in memorial of his 9th anniversary i guess, but each single contained only 2-3 songs and each were 11bucks....
*sobs*
now i'm seriously considering working again....
THEN, i went to kinokuniya. i saw 2 Fool's Mate august edition, one is with Yasu (Janne da Arc) at the coverpage and contained Yoshiki's JRock Revolution at LA and a mention of S.K.I.N., and the other one was Fool's Mate IS (or 15, i think) with gackt on the coverpage and also a mention of S.K.I.N.! called hany, and she, admirably, suggested buying the first one. perhaps it's because the gackt-at-coverpage-Fool's Mate is about 10bucks more expensive than the regular one... I wanted to buy both! and also a copy of Cure! but... i need to buy other magazine for my research... so in the end i bought one fool's mate (yasu), one Men's Knuckle (i don't like the content....) and Junon which has Hana Kimi castings at the cover page (I bought because of them, heehee). sadly, after flipping through Fool's Mate, the content of other magazine seems...ugly....er. not really very ugly, but Fool's Mate is still the best.
now i'm waiting to get my hands on some new SHOXX issues...hopefully they, too, contain some articles about S.K.I.N....
i got my new timetable and, oh man, it's like the best of the best timetable i've ever get since i started schooling. i get 2 days off each week! coupled with saturday and sunday means that my frequency of going to school is like this:
starting from sunday:
no school; school; no school; school; no school; school; no school!
all fd5b students were yelling with joy when we saw the timetable, teehee... everyday will feel like saturdays! but i hope that everyday will feel like NOT saturday, lest i play too much and get no work done -_-;;; dangerous...
anyway tomorrow my dad's coming. and Happy 62nd Independence Day to all indonesian friends!!

took a full 2-month break from the world wide web. well, not really from the internet, i visited some blogs once or twice and i went to check on ScreamingKIAI too. but, as usual when i'm in jakarta, connection to international websites are rarely good -_- which is why i couldn't fix the problems on this blog fast enough. the image host that hosted my 2.0 skin suddenly deleted my image *grrrr....* and i couldn't even go into my own blog! >.< all this is photobucket's fault which refused to upload my image in the first place until i had to scrounge around for some other image hoster -_-;;;;
luckily this time they're okay again and i can host this new skin which i made just an hour ago. all pictures are taken from the www impromptu because i'm using koko's laptop which housed NO pictures regarding SKIN at all. thank goodness the photoshop program is still inside. until my desktop is back from the hospital, i gotta make do with this laptop...
new semester! Lionel is taking place of Gladys' place i think. we have a new design studio teacher: Jonathan Seow! (those who don't know who he is, he's one of the most well-known designer in singapore) when he stepped into the room, i thought he's a student -_-;; didn't look like a teacher, so sorry jonathan. now i know what some of my seniors had been saying about jonathan: he's high profile but his looks is low profile. i think such people are really admirable =) rather than ordinary people who overdress and walk with their nose up high in the air because they're loaded with money >.< (strangely enough, i was not referring to anyone, yet)
i'm excited about this new semester because we're doing menswear. throughout the speech that lionel or helene made, regarding the collection, target market, or muse, i was constantly thinking of several people and those people ONLY:
-----------------these people----------------------->
now my dream is to design something for them! something that they'll wear in daily life or, better still, in concert!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD *still dreaming*
wish me luck v(^.^)v

featuring: Yoshiki
about: Yochan underwent a surgery to correct his spine, a problem that had persisted since 1995, when he finally started to feel numbness in his fingers. the surgery went fine, thank goodness. hopefully he will recover completely and it doesn't affect his piano playing. as for drums...don't forget your neck braces everytime you drums, yochan!
etc: read below xD i've made too many layouts featuring Yoshiki i don't wish to repeat myself =P
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v457/arsenalx/?action=view¤t=ekkusu3.jpg
Featuring: Versailles
Background: formed in 2007 by founding member Kamijo (ex Lareine) and Hizaki (ex Sulfuric Acid), they released their debut single Revenant Choir which tells a story about a clan.
Just as like Kamijo's past works, Versailles tells a story through their symphonic metal music and extravagantly elaborate costumes inspired from antique European era.
Members: Kamijo (vocals), Hizaki (guitar), Teru (guitar), Jasmine-You (bass), Yuki (drums)
etc: Versailles beautiful music managed to win my heart totally. saddened by the loss of Jasmine-YOU in 2009, but i hope the 4 of them will still make great music from now onwards. rest in peace, Jasmine-YOU, and watch out for the guys from up there...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v449/arsenal_x/ekkusu2.1copy.jpg
featuring: S.K.I.N.
Background: Formed in 2007, performed first during Anime Expo at the States in May.
Members: Yoshiki (drums, piano, guitar), Gackt (vocal, piano), Sugizo (guitar, violin), Miyavi (guitar, shamisen)
etc: ekkusu phase 2.0 was lost because i didn't save it in photobucket (because it refused to upload it properly).
and so, from now i'll start my skin from phase .1 instead of .0

Model's background: manga character (Eyeshield 21)
More about the model: quarterback of Deimon Devilbats, The Commander From Hell;
the backbone and the brain behind Deimon High School's American Football Club, The Deimon Devilbats.
Icons: various facial expressions of Hiruma, the maniacal, elven-faced leader of Devilbats ^^
Etc: Eyeshield 21 is a sports manga about American Football and it's one of my current favourite.
My rating for them is:
hilarity 10/10
excitement: 9/10
intellectual level: 9/10
drawing: 7/10
characterisation: 9/10

Featuring: Hayashi Yoshiki
Model's background: leader, drummer, pianist, main composer of legendary band X Japan (1982-1997); leader, drummer, pianist,

More about the model: the faint background picture of Yoshiki was taken in the recent years when he's already cut his hair short and
started the habit of wearing sunglasses.
Icons: pictures taken from Yoshiki's house in LA: his front door, piano in the middle room, dining room and swimming pool.
Etc: I can write essays on Yoshiki, but let's just keep it simple and straightforward: YOSHIKI IS MY HERO AND IDOL!
