okay, not quite, but i was very worried, indeed, when my nobocchi refused to detect any wireless networks. Labels: life-at-large
the problem started after i touched down here in singapore and wanted to connect to the net. back at home, my internet connection comes from a plugged-in cable modem, and wireless networks are still not very popular in jakarta, so i deactivated my ReadyComm application.
it's only when i'm here that ReadyComm became an essential, coz i practically live through wireless lan here. and imagine my horror when i turned on ReadyComm, clicked "search for wireless lan" and got a "you got 0 networks" as a result 0__0!!!
i mean, i live in an apartment for goodness sake, there's no way that there's NO network around me! my neighbours from the top floor all the way down should all have a network each, not to mention my own router which is working perfectly well (i turned it off and on once, to make sure it's working). so there has to be something wrong with my nobocchi, NOT my router.
after 2 days and 2 system restores and, finally, a desperate search at the guidebook, i finally resolved the problem. bless you, my little lenovo guidebook!
i haven't been checking my f-list since sunday and i wonder if i should..... for one, i'm scared of any bad news in DBSK frontier. for two, i'm not supposed to spend too much time online coz i'm here to accompany my aunt...

so apparently some idiot wrote a tabloid article that says that jae and abiru yuu were seen dating sometime in early october. Labels: jaejoong
Source: sookyeong @ wordpress
shared by: honeydice @ omonatheydidnt-lj
"It was said in Japanese weekly magazine ‘Female Seven’ on 26th November, “JaeJoong and Abiru Yuu were seen on a date late night in Tokyo recently. The date between the 2 was first witnessed in early October where they were spotted very initimately together on late night date at about 3am.”
i'd say, "jaejoong" and "abiru yuu" shouldn't appear in the same sentence together, honestly.
the writer who wrote the article is an imbecile who totally FORGOT that the person being talked about isn't just any-ol-how japanese celebrities who lives in Japan 24/7. he's youngwoong jaejoong, member of TVXQ, DBSK, THSK, whatever. while they spent, arguably, as much time in Japan as they were in Korea, they are still, fundamentally, living in Korea, hellooo. and when any of these members go to airport, a team or fan-rrazzi are ready to snap away with their cameras. you could guess how many immigration chops they have in their passport by just noting the dates of the airport pictures from the net.
"A representative said on 26th November, “Totally absurd. The date which the magazine stated – early October – JaeJoong was in Korea. How can the 2 be together, we really cannot understand. And according to Avex Japan, JaeJoong has never met Abiru Yuu before.”
if the writer hasn't been living under a rock for all this while, s/he would realise that jaejoong is among the trio that are involved with the SME-JCS lawsuit saga and that they are, all the time, in Korea until they were supposed to come back to Japan for Big Hits Festival at Nihon Terebi yesterday. and s/he would also recall that TVXQ travels back and forth Korea-Japan like they're travelling from Tokyo to Chiba or something, and that it's very easy to pick out outrageous rumour such as this becaue JAEJOONG WAS NOT EVEN IN JAPAN AT THAT MOMENT, idiot.
like i said, "abiru yuu" and "jaejoong" shouldn't be used in a same sentence together.

back at home in jakarta we subscribe to a cable. hooray coz the contents of indonesian local channels just simply terrifying. Labels: advertisement CM
when i was alone, the tv would most probably be on discovery channel (for mythbusters and how do they do it), axn (for CSIs, Numbers and House sometimes), celestial (when it happens to be playing japanese movie) or the korean channels arirang and KBS.
but, no matter where we are, the Korea Sparkling advertisement is often played. much more often than Infinitely Seoul ad which, i know, features DBSK, SuJu and SNSD.
now in this Korea Sparkling advertisement, there's a split second moment in the middle that showed off a boyband group. but it flashed off so bloody fast i could never really get a good view of it. basically, after hudreds of times of watching the ad, i can say that "it's DBSK" in only half a conviction =p
i'm pretty sure that the figure that was at the front looked amazingly like yunho. but, that's it. just a guess. i think they were there for only 0.4 second at most, and off.
when hany came back home, we started debating. or more like, guessing. she's been into SuJu lately, been hooked on their Sorry Sorry song (which, among their other songs, is definitely not in my good list).
so, while i said, "....i think it's dbsk," she said, "...i think it's SuJu."
and i couldn't say any objection to it, coz the figure at the front, while it looked like yunho, can easily be hankyung or shiwon.
so, just now, i got fed up enough to actually youtubed the ad, fished and filtered up the correct version of the ad, and checked it out.
see if you can guess who it is without pausing the video ^^ i'll give you a hint, it's around 0.20-0.21 time and there's at least 3 scenes inside that one second. yep, i told you it's effing fast.
Labels: advertisement CM
still only yunho talked. still there's that visible gap between jae and min.
i swear i'm gonna GIF the first moment a smile is shared between homin and jcs. i don't care how small that smile might be, it can even be a glance. just, give me something!
the stage is set up and the hall is empty and they were having kinda like preliminary interview?
only yunho talked. and he sounded soooo subdued.
but this interview made me realise something. the importance of jaejoong as the one who stand in the middle. he is so so so gloomy!! and people started picking on the gap between him and changmin.
well seriously, the gap between yoochun and junsu is even bigger, actually. but nobody would take notice of that, ne.
come on guys. talk it out like men. fight it off. punch each other or something. work off the tenseness away! you can't possibly perform well on stage if you're as stiff as a cardboard. may as well get your replicas from Omotesando to stand in for you and play an audio recording or something...
the long-awaited OT5, but i'm not sure if i'm as happy as i thought i would be.....
several more hours til Big Hits Festival. i hope something went off in the dressing room and a fight broke off and they're able to talk things out with each other fair and square. please.

HoMin had been spotted at Incheon. but the thing that confused me is: they're going to osaka??? o.O while JCS went to tokyo from kimpo yesterday...
heck, wherever they're going, they HAVE to be at Big Hits tomorrow and that's all that matters.
btw, i've missed changmin and didn't realised it til i saw the airport pics just now. minnie looked so different! almost every comment before me went "omg changmin!" or along those lines. he has a new hairstyle, almost like jaejoongie, and looked gorgeous.
can't wait for their performance tomorrow. *prays hard that it'll go fine and they're interacting well with one another...*
as of a few hours ago, fancams of jaechunsu going to kimpo airport had surfaced. the guess is that they're heading to japan for the Big Hits 2009 performance on the 26th.
i'm sad that they're not going as 5. but knowing SME, it might just be that they're not allowed to go together. SME would do all it could to make the boys look bad anyway, and there's no way to do it better than to make it seem like there's a strain in their friendship. and, even if there's one, i wouldn't put it past them not to emphasise on it. go to hell, SME.
soulmateaday community posted a moment whereby jaejoong and yoochun shared a smile during MAMA, alongside the fancam. it amazed me at how they managed to get screencaps of the 2 smiling together when in actual fact jaejoong only smiled about four times throughout the whole 3 minutes++ on stage, and each time his smile didn't last longer than a second. that's how strained his face look like, poor jae...
side note: i just realised junsu has cut his hair like in his Mirotic style, that asymmetrical bangs that used to compliment yoochun's cut. jae and chun don't look much like twins anymore, with jae keeping his sideburns longer and chun adopting a more bowl cut but without the asymmetrical edge of his Mirotic style.
the one whom i've not seen for the longest time is changmin and i miss him >_<> i wonder how's he...

a recap on what had happened since last week.
firstly, MNet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) was held last saturday. MNet had invited DBSK and other SME artists. but SME, on ground that MNet's voting system was unfair due to the fact that SNSD's Genie song wasn't agressively topping its chart like it did on other places, banned its artists from going. in other words, DBSK, SNSD, Super Junior, SHINee, all SME artists would not be attending the event: SME is boycotting the event.
then, we know that JCS were granted the freedom to do whatever they want and SME's not supposed to hold anything against them. days before MAMA, JCS said that they're going for the award show.
honestly? i was wondering what would they be introducing themselves as, since they're not supposed to be going as DBSK but as themselves, as kim jaejoong, park yoochun and kim junsu. remember when NewS were on hiatus and the members weren'y allowed to introduced themselves like example "NewS no koyama keiichirou desu" like per normal but only to mention their names only? i was wondering along those lines. the court DID grant JCS the freedom to pursue their individual activities, but as DBSK they're still very, very tied to SME indeed.
still, there's no doubt that korean cassiopeia wanted, needed to see them badly and we can't deny that they need some love. after all, this period of time was supposed to be dbsk's time in Korea, having finished their japanese activities some months back and due back in japan early next year. but because of this lawsuit, they can't interact with korean cassiopeia as they should, and i think that's very sad. so JCS appearing on MAMA might be a bridge to reach out their hands to cassiopeia.
MAMA came. and, surprise or not, DBSK was awarded The Best Asia Star 2009. now i don't know about you but for me, in an award show that's titled MNet ASIAN MUSIC AWARD, the award of Best Asia Star sounded very much like THE grand award of the night.
when they came on stage and received the award, i was screwing my face up while my mind battled against my heart.
technically they're NOT supposed to. technically they are there as kim jaejoong, park yoochun and kim junsu. technically they're not there as DBSK's youngwoong jaejoong, micky yoochun and xiah junsu because technically SME was boycotting the event and technically DBSK was not attending.
but i couldn't help but feel happy that they're there to receive the award. they deserve it! no matter what's happening, no matter that SME's boycotting the show, they, DBSK, deserve the award. and they shouldn't be denied from receiving the award just because SME is bitching about it.
the three of them said some words of thanks. and everyone never failed to include the other members in their speeches. each. one. of. them.
compared to other award shows, this time i could sense that their low quiet voices didn't really reflect overwhelming happiness like they usually did. this time, they're wrought with sadness and distress. when one was saying his speech, the other 2 weren't smiling at all. jaejoong looked near in tears at the end of his halting speech and junsu and yoochun's smiles looked forced and mournful.
a statement from them later on said that "it would be better if the 5 of us went to get the award", dismissing rumours that the 3 of them went to MAMA to spite homin (those rumour-starters are imbeciles, really).
but, it came to no surprise to me that SME dissed them afterwards, saying that JCS did not deserve to receive the award on behalf of DBSK. and SME lashed out on MNet too, saying that MNet should have informed SME that they were going to give the award to DBSK so that SME could arrange for a representative to receive the award instead.
..... o.0? ha?
okay, okay, i admit that it wasn't very right of JCS to go there as DBSK when SME had blatantly said that they're boycotting the event. but, SME, you are boycotting the event! how are you going to arrange a representative to receive the award if you're boycotting?
around that time, another news broke: JCS released statement that they did not sign the contract that said that DBSK was going to perform on Shenzhen concert and that their signatures were faked.
this, i believe, was not supposed to be a big matter IF the relationship of the artist and the management is good. afterall, who's gonna be looking at the signatures of the contract? i believe that it's quite a common practice to do this, even in other companies and other countries. concert deal is discussed, signed, artists were informed about it, artists perform it. no big deal. no real artists' signatures required.
then again, that applies to those who are not locked in a legal dispute over contract! you must be incredibly stupid to try pull off this trick against someone whom you know is suing you, SME. you didn't try to preserve your good relation with JCS, why would you think that JCS would?
anyway, despite bad news in DBSK frontier, Avex has yet thrown another lifeline to us cassiopeia in general and, most importantly, bigeast-ers. apart from a confirmed new single at the beginning of next year, Tohoshinki is also invited to perform at several end-of-year award shows in Japan.
in other words, while DBSK activities has been halted and compromised in Korea, THSK seemed to continue soaring in Japan. add that to the fact that SME is clearly not taking care of DBSK while Axex has clearly and officially stated that they are behind Tohoshinki every step of the way, it almost make me wish that they take off from Korea and go to Japan indifinitely. almost.
anyway. the earliest award show is gonna be this thursday, Best Hits Songs 2009 by Nihon Terebi. live performance. which means the boys gonna be heading to Japan really, really soon. i'll put up a notice the moment their airport sightings were posted up the community.
the next is FNS Kayousai by Fuji Terebi on 2nd December. this is the very first time they were invited to FNS and fans were excited about it.
and, this is the big news, Kouhaku Uta Gassen in NHK at the end of the year 31st December. they're in Kouhaku for the second year running!!! >_<> i'm so happy that despite of what's happening, they're STILL in kouhaku this year!
i'm wishing for Bolero and Stand By U performance. of course if we're talking about record-breaking song, Colors~ Melody&Harmony would be the right choice. but i think Bolero would be the best song to show off their amazing voices.
but they can sing in off-tune for all i care, i just want to see them smiling and interacting well as FIVE again. i don't care about their performance, i just want the reassurance that the bond that they have is still there, that they still have each other's back. it must be tough and i would be stupid to expect this lawsuit not to put any strain on their friendship, but i know that i will be heartbroken if i see their friendship broke. SME can go to hell for all i care, DBSK could disband at the worst case-scenario, i just don't want them to lose each other as friends...
all i want is to see them happy as five. and i think i'm not the only one who prioritise their happiness over anything else, even over the future of DBSK *ducks from thrown garbage*. sometimes scanning through comments in the community is tough, annoying and painful, but sometimes it's worth to find someone whose opinion is the same as mine.
cassiopeia, be patient and keep the faith, and in the meanwhile, let bigeast-ers take care of the boys in japan.

this year Yoshiki's celebrating his 44th birthday! happiest birthday to you, yochan! may you always be blessed with good health (better, if possible) and happiness ^___^
i FINALLY get to do this layout. spent one day doing the graphics and another day tinkering with the codes and button placements. i was thinking of changing to New Blogger, coz i so badly want a cloud-tag and Classic Blogger doesn't allow me to add the widget. but after trying to change into New Blogger, i couldn't figure out how to keep this layout. all the codes went bonkers and with my very limited knowledge of html, i couldn't even begin to correct it >_<> so, here i am STILL with classic blogger, and still cloud-tag-less.
i have asked someone for her FYP cloud-tagger but *nudges obachan* duno what's happening to that =p
and, being dedicated to TVXQ and Cassiopeia, this layout also has somewhat different colour scheme than the previous one. Cassiopeia's colour is pearl red, so i tried making everything in reddish hue instead of my original purplish hue. and so i gotta comb the whole code and change the colours one by one. i'm sure i still missed a colour or two, but it's alright.
and, i've revived my chatterbox. you can access it through the "Always" word. apparently users of blogskins are also unable to make their "comment" button appear under each post. so, i put my flooble back up so that people can leave messages and comments there. i tried using CBox, but they don't allow me to have my own settings, so i went back to flooble -_-
while i'm at it, i wish to ask everyone a question and i hope you would answer, regardless of the time you read it, please leave an answer at my flooblebox:
how do you view this layout in your monitor screen?
is is: too big? too small?
does it make scroller appear at the sides (too tall for your screen)?
does it make scroller appear at the bottom (too wide for your screen)?
is there any space left that can still be used to expand my textbox?
my nobocchi has 14" screen with dimension of 13.4x9.1. that is kinda....wide if compared to koko's fujitsu or hany's toshiba, though some says that this should be the dimension that are going to get more common in the future. but i wonder how many people are able to view this layout correctly with their computers?
i suspect that the layout's kinda small, coz i resized it when i was testing it out and it produced scrollers everywhere. i'd rather have it small than having many scrollers at the side and bottom which is annoying. but if it's small on most people's screen, then i want to know the area which can still be used to expand my text area.
do let me know! ^_^
so. even though this layout is finished on yochan's birthday, the theme this time is TVXQ ^^ i feel kinda bad for NEWS, with whom i've been a fan for more than a year and still i didn't make a layout for them. but anyway, in light of recent development (or not-so-recent-but-still-progressing-everyday), i dedicated this layout for the boys and cassiopeia just so that to cheer myself up somewhat, and maybe one or two cassies who might visit in the future might get some strength from it too *shrugs* who knows.
the little picture at the left hand side here, the one that would link to my entries, are taken from MKMF award show 2006. if you look carefully, the boys were praying (with exception of min who was staring to space xD). i love the picture and i think it's appropriate to be used in conjunction with the current theme, Always Keep The Faith.
i did some manipulation though, making it look like there are a lot more of the boys than original ^^
under this, you can see the video that shows what happened after that: they won the MKMF Best Artist award 2006. the 4 looked very, very moved (min the magnae has always been the best composed after all) and chun cried (oh he always does ^^)
they spent soooo long to get to the stage, first to recover from the shock, and then hugging and shaking hands with so many people along the way to the stage, but everyone waited out for them. they were, after all, THE best artist of 2006, ne.
what a nice group hug ♥
i'm not going to talk about the recent development regarding MAMA and JCS. yet.

he received he injury in 1995 and since then, against doctors' orders, had been trying to keep it from affecting his music. should have expected that the only way he's gonna get any treatment done is when it starts affecting his ability to play music. *shakes head* it's been 14 years of playing drums with neck-braces! (and didn't he forgo it during x japan comeback concert???) if it's not for the fact that his fingers went numb and thus, i believe, affecting his piano playing, i don't think he's gonna agree to go under the knife, would you, yochan? Labels: yoshiki
*sighs* but i'm glad that the surgery went fine. do your therapy diligently, yochan, and i'll see you next year in shanghai expo ^___^

a fan, derived from the word "fanatic" which can also mean "obsessed", is someone who support a particular idol due to one reason or another and follow their activities through and through unwaveringly.
fandom, just like kingdom, is a universe whereby everything revolves around the idols.
fandom-nism, aka popular culture, was arguably created in the era of The Beatles, but with the passing of time, fandom-nism has grown into more than just simple obsession over idols. as the popular culture grows to be more mature, the expectation fans have on their idols grows, but so does the responsibility of the fans over their idols. the more in depth definition of a fan is someone who stood by their idols and keep their faith even when the world is out to destroy them. that's what a fan truly is.
fandom-nism, fact number ONE: a fan does not necessarily have to believe that their idols are god-like and perfect, coz they're humans and humans make mistakes. but that doesn't mean that they have to scorn, turn their back and leave once their idols make a mistake or two. real fans would accept that the idols are humans, have made mistakes, and yet still support them. after all, what we love are the idols, not their mistake and definitely not their god-like status, coz that's childish and foolish.
fandom-nism, fact number TWO: a fan does not necessarily have to be always happy and unwavering in times of trouble, coz we are humans and humans can't always control their emotions especially when it comes to matter that are close to heart. there are times when fans get swayed and turbulance happens in the fandom, but while some are creating the waves, others would come and calm things down. this is fans helping each other out to support and sustain the fandom, to sustain the idols.
but, we often forget that being fans, WE are the pillars that support our idols. as much as we see our idols as heroes, they, more than anyone else, would see us as their heroes, coz without us to buy their merchandise, go to their concert and practically pay for their salary from our collective pockets, there would be no them and this is a hard true FACT of fandom-nism number THREE.
there are hundreds, thousands of singers debuted every day, week. what's the difference between them and big-time idols? not just the talent, coz we know idols with questionable talent that are awesomely huge and popular and we know singers with amazing talent who are just simply unheard-of artists. not just the time spent in the industry, coz there are those who've been in the industry for a very long time and still a so-so artist and there are those who made it big in the industry practically overnight.
no, more than just the talent and time spent in the industry, it's the number of fans that's the deciding factor on the measure of success of an idol.
so, some of us may not realise how important we, the fans, are as a a factor of our idols' success. we don't realise that WE are the most important factor in determining the future of our idols. and this is something that Cassiopeia, Bigeast and every international TVXQ fan (from now i'm gonna call us a whole as Cassiopeia as to make things easy) should remember in troubled times such as this.
the boys are already under much pressure, more than we can imagine, from the company, their personal circle of people, mainly their family and friends, the expectations from the world and their own lives. but more than anything else, they should be very, very concerned about, us, the fans, the most.
if WE, as the pillar that have supported them for years, are breaking apart, how are we expecting THEM to hold on? if WE do not show our support for them, how are they gonna have the guts to fight for their own rights?
SME had been repeatedly claiming that jaechunsu (from now on will be referred to as JCS, as coined by laurana1) started this lawsuit just because of CreBeau, and we've already established that we don't believe them coz we know the real truth behind their slave contract.
personally, though, i DO believe that CreBeau does play a factor in this lawsuit. but, the boys are only humans and humans have their rights, which SME had fantastically managed to disregard in multiple articles while formulating TVXQ's contract. working under a slave contract is something that nobody would be happy with, and the fact that hundreds of other Korean artists might STILL be working under such condition DOES NOT negate those rights that they have as humans!
the way I see it, the fact that JCS dared to sue SME shows, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the kind of trust that they have in us, Cassiopeia. and this is big. we don't see small-time artists going to court just to fight out their contract no matter how unhappy they would be under it coz they don't have the power, be it monetarial or fans support, to go against agencies who have raised them since they're newbies.
consider the kind of craps and bullshits that SME has sprouted while trying with all their might to twist and turn words and facts so that everything looks like JCS's fault, if they do that to small-time artists, the media would focus on SME's words and everything would seem like whatever nonsense they created. the artist wouldn't stand a chance of winning.at.all.
but JCS dared, i repeat, DARED to go against SME, dared to RISK whatever they've been working for, in the last half a decade, just so that they can have a better future ahead of them.
considering that income distribution is one of the things being battled out in court, JCS wouldn't have the assurance of a well supported financial situation, if not they would've just broken the contract, paid their damages and walked out of SME and started a new life somewhere as TVXQ under different company, just like Shinhwa had done.
if money is a questionable issue, then, what made them DARE to go on with this lawsuit? even considering SME's crappy claim of greed, and possibility of craziness which i think none of the boys suffer from, nothing would explain why JCS had the guts to sue SME, big time agency well-known of bringing out some of the best of Korean stars, other than the factor of the fans' support.
do you think that IF JCS had doubted our support, IF they thought that we're gonna leave them behind, they would have dared to pull off this lawsuit?
they TRUST that we're will understand their working, slaving condition, that we will understand how hard they have been having it all these years. they trust, even if things turn sour with SME, that they will STILL have us at their back.
and, referring to fandom-nism fact number THREE, that is all that matter.
so, fellow Cassiopeia, don't lose out to this battle of will.
SME is out to break us apart, to create a crack and separate us from our boys, so that the boys lost their pillar of support and back down.
DON'T lose out to them. DON'T be swayed to doubt our boys. if we are fans, and Cassiopeia has outstanding reputation in the world for being amazing fans, we WILL stick up by our boys. we want the best for TVXQ and they're NOT going to have it if they give up and back down and continue slaving away. most importantly, they wouldn't have it if WE lose our faith in them.
it's gonna be hard and difficult time, but JCS has shown how much trust they place in us when they started the lawsuit. the least we can do is show them, in return, how much WE have faith in them.
Cassiopeia hwaiting! DBSK hwaiting! as Isak had said, 5-3=0!
now, to summarise things shortly and briefly and crudely, last 2 weeks the court have partial ruling on the suspension of the exclusive contract that JCS filed against SME. then, on 2nd Nov, SME gave statement that they have planned a comeback campaign next year and JCS had to make decision by 12th Nov whether or not they would come back to the company. then, by 12th Nov, JCS stated that they're not gonna comply with the threat, and SME stated that they have REFUSED to come back and that they would "prepare their statement".
and so, as of today, ShenZhen Miroticon had been cancelled, SME had released statement that the cancellation is due to JCS's refusal, JCS had released statement that it was NOT so, and i'm getting dizzy trying to minimise the drama and please just click here for the summary of what have been happening in the past few weeks in a very simple and easy way to understand even for the non-fans.

i've been in the hospital since yesterday when i landed til juuust now. so, i was blissfully away from nobocchi. Labels: lawsuit
but i never forgot, for a moment, that today is 12th november.
which means: the deadline for jaechunsu to reply to SME's demand that they come back.
i've decided to straight away scour to dbsg@lj instead of browsing my flist.
*prays hard before clicking open the link* i wish for the best for them!

wahh when will i have a new layout -___- Labels: layout
this one has been around since last year, as you can see from the words, i made it for yochan's birthday, which is coming again in less than 2 weeks time.
gaahhhh, must force myself to make a new layout fast!!
then i'll worry about the html codings >_<>
what's important is getting the graphic out first. so, start working hana!

i can't even watch any of their video clips without feeling the apprehension sunk further into my stomach now...
praying everyday does help, though, coz i feel like i'm not doing exactly nothing, and i do feel better after praying. but it's like a drug that needs constant refill. like, i'll feel good right after praying and when i woke up in the morning, but by the end of the day (like now) the anxiety and helplessness and apprehension is back...
it's killing me, to wait til the 12th.... cozi don't know how would this drama end and i have no fast-foward button to cheat and jump to the end and see the result aaargghhhh!!
haven't felt this was for a very long time, like there's an anvil lodged behind the left part of my sternum that constrict breathing passage >_<> interestingly, it's always the left part of my chest, not the right. why?
i swear, after the 12th, heck after there's any official word or news at all, GOOD official news i mean, i'll comb through the list of their videos that i've not watched yet, all concerts starting from Rising Sun and Heart Mind And Soul, and watch them diligently one by one and write comments for each and everyone of them.
...just, please let there be good news...
for the past few weeks, i've been listening to SuJu while i'm bathing. due to the fact that i'm no longer having classes, i don't have the opportunity to stuff earphones into my ears and listen to music while i'm doing work. so now music only accompanies me when i'm on the treadmill or bathing.
anyway, i've been listening to SuJu, just for the sake of learning their voices.
when i (kind of) heard them for the first time (NOT Sorry Sorry coz that song has their voices distorted digitally and i don't like it), i mentioned to bel that someone sounded like yoochun, with cool voice tone and a bit of rasp at the edge.
now i'm becoming a bit more familiar with their voices, and i'm surprised to note that there are voices that sound like changmin and yunho too 0__0 like, honestly! okay, junsu and jaejoong's voices aren't replicable, but i really think that there are changmin and yunho sound-alike in SuJu.
til now i've not watched their music video tho (apart from Sorry Sorry) and i'm unable to identify the owner of yoochun, changmin and yunho voice-alike. but so far, i've been able to pick out about... erm...maybe 4 different voices in SuJu songs? or sometimes 5 or 6, im not entirely sure about this:
(the warmer voice)
one person with warm, clear voice that rings high, but pretty pleasant. i think this person has among the best voice control of all...
changmin-sound-alike, minus the harshness and fierceness the magnae sometimes shows when he's changing his note or tackling particularly high note.
(the cooler voice)
the yoochun-sound-alike, but with just a hint of rasp at his edge. he doesn't change from normal singing to falsetto with a jump like chun does, and he sounds somewhat more gentle and smooth too.
i think there is one that has voice similar to the above, though i can't be entirely sure. he has brighter, clear voice throughout and sustains his notes steadily and i really like his voice.
yunho-sound-alike, he sounds like when yunho at his best (sorry yunho) and even better (leadersshi i swear i didn't mean to hurt you)
for the time being my favourite voices are those two that sounded like yoochun but different xD i have to find out who those voices belong to... i think bel said that it might be one that's called...yesung? kyuhyun? aish, i gotta watch Exploration With Human Body again to make sure xD
there are several SuJu songs that i really like from the 2 albums that i've been listening to, like She's Gone, So I, Thank You, Hate U Love U... most of them are their softer ballads instead of fast-beat dance songs. but there are a couple of the brighter songs too that are pretty lovely, like Midnight Fantasy, and Sapphire Blue =)
Super Junior - She's Gone live
after watching the above video, i think i know who are those voices that i like. and yes, there are TWO of them. the first one that i said sounds like yoochun, i think he's yesung. and the one with clearer version of chun-sound-alike, is kyuhyun.
gotta watch more video to make sure about this =p

i am very scared. Labels: lawsuit
on one hand, i would like, more than anything else, for them to continue working together as tvxq, the five of them. they've been together for 5 years, building up their career for 4 effing years in japan, starting from scratch. and now that they're about to enjoy the seed that they have sown, this lawsuit happened.
on another hand, i believe in jaechunsu's talent and that they will NOT be stopped just because they change agency. if they can't even trust SME at the moment, then they wouldn't be happy to be working there. add that to SME's tendency to work their asses off like they're some performing robots or instead of humans, it wouldn't be healthy for them to continue working under such condition.
and yet at the same time, i'm gonna be so heartbroken, SO heartbroken if they split up.
but i'll be equally heartbroken if they give in and sacrifice what they've stood up to fight for, their rights and their future, just because of pressure.
i really don't see the 12th november as a day of celebration. no matter what decision they chose, i don't see a good ending out of it.
it's gonna break some cassiopeia's hearts if they break up.
but it's gonna break other cassiopeia's hearts (those who've stood by behind them, believing that they're fighting for the right cause) if they give in.
unless some miracles happen.
which i will be praying for every night before i sleep.
i wonder if fans from other broken-up bands/groups underwent all these *waves hand* thing that's happening in tohoshinki frontier.
i should think not, not when they're about the first group i know who've actually sued their own agency and battling it out in courts.
X Japan fans were heartbroken when yochan suddenly held a press conference announcing that x japan was going to break up, but there wasn't any drama preceeding that (though there was one following that). they were heartbroken, but at least it was over in an instant... well if you could call 3 months waiting til The Last Live as an instant, that is... but, i can't compare x japan to dbsk, really, they aren't really on equal ground.
but this lawsuit drama is really blowing up to be bigger than i expected it to be.
for one, i've started to see both sides of the stories, and i'm torn. someone said, yes we can be fans, but that doesn't mean that we should be blind to their faults too.
these past few days, i was doing some light exercises with my mind, stating different things regarding this issue and separates them into categories of: "the fact", "the unconfirmed info", "the rumour that i wished it's fact" and "the fact that i wished it's a rumour"
and it's depressing to say that i've found some that i've categorised as "the fact that i wished it's rumour".
loong loong time ago, minghui once said, she didn't think that i would be a mindless fan. she saw me as someone who, even when my idol does something wrong, i would acknowledge it as wrong, that i wouldn't gloss over it just because i idolise the person. at that point of time, i didn't think about the significance of her words, i thought it's just natural that everyone's like that, that it's expected for fans to be like that.
but now, in this context, i realised how important it is to be such a fan. to acknowledge that your idol might not be as pure and innocent as you think he is, that he may have some motives behind whatever he's doing, but still able to stand strong behind them, supporting them, not because of their deed but because you love their music and talent and that's the most important thing.
i'm sad with how this legal proceeding is developing, i'm mad at SME for their dirty little tricks, and i'm even more sad when i realised that there might be some truth to their bullshit and that jaechunsu is not as saint-ful as most of cassiopeias would think them to be.
having said that, i believe that the core of their course is right and i'm supporting their cause 100%. i'm just worried about the crack that might be appearing in the 5s' friendship.
never mind the fans for the time being, we're strong beings, and watching them patching this up in amiable manner would be more than enough to heal us completely. it's them that i'm worried about. can their friendship sustain this crisis...?
every night i'm including TVXQ in my prayers, hoping that they would be protected, be given strength and wisdom to overcome this crisis, and that they would preserve their friendship and strengthen their bonds, and leave this shit unscathed as 5...
i hope many other cassiopeia all over the world are doing it too
"ask and it shall be given unto you~" right? <=)

remember the fugly-covered NWPD DVD that i blogged about some time back? well it has now been released and, of course, leaks have found their way to youtube.
i'm taking a short break from watching anything TVXQ because i don't think it's good for my mental being if i watch their shows and start laughing while my heart's crying, and besides it created a very ugly expression on my face. i'm going to concentrate on the legal proceeding and following their bickerings for now, until the time comes that things have settled down that i can truly laugh from the bottom of my heart again while watching those dorks on stage.
for the time being, i'm going to have rendezvous with NEWS.
yappari i really do love tego's voice. i watch NEWS live concert just to catch him singing more songs LIVE. and other than the times when he's being particularly cheeky, he's a sight to behold too. i love to watch him dancing, his body movement is fluid and, with a little bit more practice tesshi, can be very sexy.
if i were to make a comparison to anyone in TVXQ, i'm gonna say that he's closest to junsu. out of the 6, i'm gonna trust him to handle dance song + live singing at the same time coz his voice control is really good. yamapi seldom disappoints too, though.
tego, i hope you treasure your voice and stay clear of cigarettes. your voice is a gift, don't lose it to the effect of smoking like i've seen too many singers did, it's heartbreaking.
now excuse me while i skip-watch NWPD while preparing myself mentally to return to the fandom =)
you know TVXQ has enteres your system when: Labels: dbsk-in-your-system
6. during your japanese lesson, the moment you read the phrase "isshoukenmei ganbatte", yunho's face appeared in your mind, saying the phrase in different outfits and look coz he says it so often at so many different point of time.

i mean, jaejoong yoochun and junsu are not idiots. they often act like dorks, yes, but they're intelligent artists who knows their own worth better than anyone else. Labels: lawsuit
why would they RISK jeopardising the name of DBSK, one that they have built with all their hardwork, sweat and tears for the past 5 years, just for the sake of one small investment of a cosmetic brand? it's absurd, no matter how you think about it.
so, SME, STOP claiming that this lawsuit is rooted from there because it is NOT! it can't be! if so, then jaechunsu must be the biggest fools on this planet and they don't deserve the support of millions of cassiopeia around the world.
which is not true, of course.
i know i'm sounding like i'm in denial, but it's probably true. i'm in denial that changmin and yunho could release such harsh statement after all they've gone through together as dbsk.
god, please protect them from all this bad things that keep trying to break them apart. and please protect them from the big bully that is SME. and please protect Cassiopeia no matter where we are right now so that we can continue holding faith and continue to support the boys.
i'm still refreshing my f-list every few minutes, hoping that someone would post something that will put away my doubt on homin and prevent any gastric attack on my poor stomach Labels: lawsuit
meanwhile, i've just read the result of Seoul Central District Court ruling, one that DNBN has translated into English, Japanese and Chinese, which is amazing if considered that the result was lengthy and very in-depth, just like any other lawsuit materials can be.
i'm getting some courage from there, coz i really can believe that their lawsuit is a problem of human rights and NOT just becaue jaechunsu's evil selfish being that want to earn as much money as they could without thinking about the future of the group.
i really wonder how would Cassiopeia react to this.
someone please please please come and tell me that this is just one big joke... Labels: lawsuit
...if not, please just burn newsen and allkpop website down to bits for spreading vicious rumours.
either one of those would be very helpful.
if this situation goes on for a few more days without explanation, i'm gonna develop an acute gastric problem.
but in the meanwhile, i'm very worried about the boys. how are they doing? i refuse to believe that changmin and yunho could be so vicious, or that (if i believe their "claims") jaejoong, yoochun and junsu could be so selfish and cruel.
... i think i need a stronger slogan than just "Always Keep The Faith"...
someone come and clear up this mess immediately, please!!! just for this once i'd like to believe that allkpop and newsen is a place of truckload of bullshit. just this once.
cassiopeia, don't give in just yet~
...so scared that i have to pray before forcing myself to click open those article translations posted in the community. Labels: lawsuit
...i don't know what will happen from now, but i'm very scared.
i mean it. shit has happened. Labels: lawsuit

featuring: Yoshiki about: Yochan underwent a surgery to correct his spine, a problem that had persisted since 1995, when he finally started to feel numbness in his fingers. the surgery went fine, thank goodness. hopefully he will recover completely and it doesn't affect his piano playing. as for drums...don't forget your neck braces everytime you drums, yochan!
etc: read below xD i've made too many layouts featuring Yoshiki i don't wish to repeat myself =P
Background: formed in 2007 by founding member Kamijo (ex Lareine) and Hizaki (ex Sulfuric Acid), they released their debut single Revenant Choir which tells a story about a clan. Just as like Kamijo's past works, Versailles tells a story through their symphonic metal music and extravagantly elaborate costumes inspired from antique European era.
Members: Kamijo (vocals), Hizaki (guitar), Teru (guitar), Jasmine-You (bass), Yuki (drums)
etc: Versailles beautiful music managed to win my heart totally. saddened by the loss of Jasmine-YOU in 2009, but i hope the 4 of them will still make great music from now onwards. rest in peace, Jasmine-YOU, and watch out for the guys from up there...
Background: Formed in 2007, performed first during Anime Expo at the States in May.
Members: Yoshiki (drums, piano, guitar), Gackt (vocal, piano), Sugizo (guitar, violin), Miyavi (guitar, shamisen)
etc: ekkusu phase 2.0 was lost because i didn't save it in photobucket (because it refused to upload it properly). and so, from now i'll start my skin from phase .1 instead of .0
Featuring: Hiruma Youichi
Model's background: manga character (Eyeshield 21)
More about the model: quarterback of Deimon Devilbats, The Commander From Hell; the backbone and the brain behind Deimon High School's American Football Club, The Deimon Devilbats.
Icons: various facial expressions of Hiruma, the maniacal, elven-faced leader of Devilbats ^^
Etc: Eyeshield 21 is a sports manga about American Football and it's one of my current favourite. My rating for them is:
intellectual level: 9/10
Featuring: Hayashi Yoshiki
Model's background: leader, drummer, pianist, main composer of legendary band X Japan (1982-1997); leader, drummer, pianist, guitarist, composer of band Violet UK, debut coming soon.
More about the model: Yoshiki in the early X Japan era in early 90's when he still has long curly locks.
Etc: YOSHIKI IS MY HERO AND IDOL!
Featuring: Hayashi Yoshiki
Model's background: leader, drummer, pianist, main composer of legendary band X Japan (1982-1997); leader, drummer, pianist, guitarist, composer of band Violet UK, debut coming soon. Born in Tateyama, Chiba (Japan) in 20th November 1965 and currently living in Los Angeles, California (USA). Head company of Extasy Records, Extasy Japan and Extasy Records International (now defunct). http://myspace.com/yoshiki
More about the model: the faint background picture of Yoshiki was taken in the recent years when he's already cut his hair short and started the habit of wearing sunglasses.
Icons: pictures taken from Yoshiki's house in LA: his front door, piano in the middle room, dining room and swimming pool.
Etc: I can write essays on Yoshiki, but let's just keep it simple and straightforward: YOSHIKI IS MY HERO AND IDOL!
