The last time i updated my skin was on Yochan's 43rd birthday, and a year had passed. I'm glad that his surgery went fine and i hope he's recovering well. Don't neglect your therapy, Yochan, and hope to see you next year in China ^^

though i have a feeling that this is just the beginning...
for one, after this they're going to file lawsuit for the "Compensation for Damages and Exclusive Contract Nullification" against SME.
but, SME is also going to submit an appeal for the earlier on decision, saying that "they will be revealing information that the Courts requested they keep quiet from the media and an official statement".
like, why now, SME, why now? why wait until you're partially losing before you decide to reveal this information and try for an appeal? why not you reveal is beforehand and just aim for a straight win since the start? i'm not siding with them, but this just makes me say "BullSh*t!" while a little bit of apprehension crept into my mind...
but anyway, there's no doubt that jaechunsu is right at the beginning of change in the korean entertainment industry. whether or not the change will be for the good or bad, we must sit back and evaluate carefully.
it's definitely gonna be the best for entertainers, but for their agencies? as much as an agency needs its entertainers to bring in the moolah, an entertainer cannot possibly be there without the agency who scouted and recruted and debuted him/her in the first place. there's a kind of balance there that jaechunsu has disrupted by filing this lawsuit and i just hope that they're bringing in good change instead of bringing the korean entertainment industry down...
there's something interesting to be observed from the community during this turbulent period of time. i don't want to be generalising and stereotyping, but i suppose i can try and guess what age group does a particular fan belong to depending on her comment regarding this lawsuit issue.
really, it's pretty interesting how some of us would go into details debating the pro and cons about the court's decision, whether or not the claims made by SME was valid or even the claims written by a particular article regarding the extent of damages received by TVXQ was valid, weighing the chances of vistory of the members and what could possibly happen to them and the korean industry depending on the final result of the courts, and so on.
and then there will be comments that simply states a wish that TVXQ would just move agency and coming up with possibilities of agencies that would and could get them and what might happen after, expressing their fear and wishes for the togetherness of the 5, expressing the frustration that this lawsuit thing is stretching too long and they just want a new album already dammit, and so on.
it's like as though they're trying to break away from a nightmare and just want a new material to enjoy already, not caring about further consequences of whatever's happening as a result of this lawsuit.
well, finally i'm feeling better with the lawsuit report. apparently the court has decided that "The Court found that the Contract between SM and the Members was unconscionable and against public policy. Following this victory, the Members are proceeding with the main suit to ask for the rightful shares of all income generated from their activities."
amen to that. the brightest news about the court's decision is that: it is applicable to TVXQ AS A WHOLE, which means that even though changmin and yunho didn't file anything against SM, with the court's decision they will be able to sue get SM to ammend their contracts and get some justice in their contracts. which means that, even though only jaechunsu filed the lawsuit, the court's decision allows EVERYONE's contract to be ammended and be made HUMANE. everyone say, "amen~!"
now, changmin and yunho have NOT actually announce if they're gonna follow suit, but considering the extent of injustice they have in their contracts, and considering that the court's decision DID involve them too, i have strong believe that they will be filing for the income distribution suit together with jaechunsu too. well, let's just keep on praying for that, shall we.
if you click on the above link (and you happen to be a member of dbsg community in lj), you will be able to read the following news which actually stated the extent of injustice TVXQ has suffered in terms of their income distributions. so horrible is the contract that i failed to truly believe in it... it's really to terrible to be true and i hope someone will enlighten me about it and tell me that it's not as bad as the article made it sound to be. i have read most of these beforehand, but they didn't sound as bad, or maybe i haven't realised that they were THAT bad...
imagine, TVXQ has debuted since 2003. but, until july 2008, their contracts read that "for any album or single with sales not exceeding 500,000 copies, SM would be entitled to 100% of the profits". 100% = ALL = TVXQ→ZERO. in July, they made ammendment and stated that the members will get "1% of total sales for each album that sells over 200,000 copies. For any albums that sell fewer copies, the members are to receive 0.6% to 0%".
now, up to july 2008, TVXQ has released 3 Korean albums, and 3 Japanese albums, none of them broke the 500,000 copies sold. so, basically they only started to receive income from their albums sales starting from Mirotic album only, which was their last korean album. there was no mention of contracts regarding their Japanese album but considering that TVXQ themselves don't know what does their Japanese contract consist of, we can deduce that they have NOT been receiving incomes from their Japanese albums either.
talk about being underpaid >_<>
if you think that's not outrageous enough, let's consider the following addition then. other than albums, the boys also released live albums (which was pretty funny considering that usually they don't sing the songs LIVE in concerts unless it's their Japanese tours...) and DVDs. but, they're not entitled to the sales of those either.
and to make things even worse than they already are, "Members are not entitled to receive any share of the profits made through their TV appearances if the appearance is of a temporary nature. As all programs on which TVXQ appeared have featured the Members as "guests"and therefore by nature have been temporary, SM has kept all profits that TVXQ has generated from these TV appearances."
so. that leaves the member with income from..................? anyone wanna take a stab and guess? coz i really can't think of other revenue in which the members would be getting income from.
which is why the following part really put my jaw on the floor:
"As for all other sources of income, the Contract states that TVXQ is entitled to varying percentages of the "net income." The Contract defines "net income" to be the amount remaining after the applicable "operating costs". The "operating costs" are defined to include such expenses that are traditionally expected to be covered by the employer, including but not limited to 1) salaries of the staff (manager, clothing coordinators, makeup artists, dance crew, and the like), 2) performing stage preparation costs, 3) living expenses, including rent and water/electricity bills, 4) travel expenses, including plane ticket costs, 5) meal expenses, and the like."
...it sounds like the boys are receiving negative income. which is impossible, ne. i mean, really, it sound so bad, SO BAD that i can't really believe this to be the truth. that's why i wish someone would come and enlighten us on how their contract really works and how they were being paid by SM. yoochun could open an ice-cream shop for his mom and jaechunsu have invested in CreBeau. all those needed money and their source of income was only through SM so obviously SME must have had paid them something, right?
they didn't say anything from CMs though, and other appearances. in one of the Korean variety show (the one they were performing with the little blind pianist), they mentioned a peformance in a church in which they screwed up "My Little Princess" very badly. i guess they do small offstage performances and maybe getting income from those? and CMs, they have had starred in several CMs, Korean and Japanese, and i haven't read any part of the contract that dealt with CMs appearances, and CMs generate quite substantial income if i'm not wrong.
still, let's say that they DO receive income from SME, and let's purposely be a saint and pretend that they receive SUBSTANTIAL INCOME from SME for their 5 years of hardwork. now, imagine this view: TVXQ in their concert TOUR (which mean: a series of concerts done within a period of time at different places) and you're there as an observer.
you see: Toho-dancers (maybe 10 of them? more or less), live band crew (around 5-6?), stage crews, costume-designer and stylists, hair and make-up artists, and security personnels. ALL THESE PEOPLE receive their income FROM TVXQ'S OWN INCOME.
then, start observing the non-living objects. Trailers, buses for transportation, audio/video equipments (cameras, mics, speakers, etc), band instruments, stage productions (stage, lightings, cranes for their "flying" acts, giant screens, etc), FOOD AND BEVERAGES consumed during tours, hotel rooms where ALL THE CREWS are staying at, apartment in which TVXQ live at. ALL THESE ITEMS are being paid for FROM TVXQ'S OWN INCOME as well.
then imagine TVXQ flying back and forth between Korea-Japan, for various reasons: short come-back stage (Kor:Purple Line), and CMs (Kor:Haptic Touch), and dramas (Kor:Yunho's HTTG shooting), and Miroticon Asia tour (bangkok, shanghai, shenzhen, etc) and single and promotional activities (Jpn:Colors~Melody&Harmony) , those AIRPLANE TICKETS are being deducted FROM THEIR OWN INCOME as well.
so, even though we pretend that we see them receiving the "substantial income from SME", because TVXQ must take responsibility for their own "operating costs", i'm pretty sure that after you deduct all those expenses, the "substantia amount" must have had been reduced to an "insignificant" sum anyway.
TVXQ as an acapella group, receiving no income from their singing activities. TVXQ as entertainers, an idol group, receiving no income from their TV appearances. TVXQ as hot hot celebrities, receiving income from CM contracts and other-than-concert performances. if those are true, i'm honestly glad that they've chosen to sue SME now instead of later.
it's outrageous that they've received little income for their 5 years of slaving. but at least they're going to get better income from now onwards, and now onwards seem to be a very, very good time for TVXQ, if their reputation in Japan is of any indication.
i'm happy that Colors~ Melody&Harmony and 4th Live Tour: The Secret Code DVD have received gold from RIAJ (broke 100,000 sales). but i hope that they'll settle this lawsuit fast so that they can start releasing more album IN WHICH they should be starting to receive an income from... the fans are heartbroken that all the albums which they have paid for, none of them actually contributed to the boys' income and i could't agree more. i'm actually kinda glad that i've tried to follow Cassiopeia's boycott against SME (though i can't really resist from not buying their last albums, Mirotic, The Secret Code and T).
once they've redrafted and made a new contract with SME and start getting paid for their albums, i'll start buying their albums with a happy heart.
some fans said that TVXQ as a whole launch a lawsuit against SME reminded them of Shinhwa's case (and that didn't go too well, if i'm not mistaken), but i really do hope that their case will end better than Shinhwa's... i really do hope so.
anyway, this is part 1 of this series of lawsuit. the court has agreed that TVXQ's contract with SME is unjust. now they're going to proceed on with income disribution lawsuit and so on. this is not over yet, and so we better still keep the faith.

my email address was something that were made out of my obsession to yoshiki. and there were several of them that basically sounds the same.
when i was asked to put one email address on my name card and for official purposes, i took the liberty to create one "official-sounding" email at gmail.
i thought i was being clever.
the reality? i couldn't have been more stupid.
some weeks after assessment, when i was still keeping contact with BA people, we were exchanging stories about who got email from who, who was asked to collaborate with who, who got a job offer from who, and i check my gmail quite diligently.
several months after assessment, as i went back to indo and stopped talking to BA peeps on regular basis, i completely forgot about the existence of that email address, and i failed to check it for MONTHS!
and months later, which was tonight, i finally checked it. imagine my shock when i saw about 15 unreplied messages, dating from 3 days ago all the way til July, from various people:
some were students from lasalle, fashion management, asking if they could interview me for the school project. one from fashion management head, asking our cooperation with the said project.
some were from NTU ADM, level 3s and 4, asking if i would like to collaborate with them for photoshoot. some of them have their photoshoot scheduled..and passed. some of them, lucky them for being late, have not yet scheduled their shoot, and those i can still reply (while apologising profusely)
several were photographers asking if i would like collaborative shoots too.
one from possible employer called... FIG? i think... unlike veudeut or something, this one sound more promising. though i am in no position to start accepting job offers... *sigh* wonder if there would be such opportunities knocking on my door in the future now that i've missed them..
and~~ this is the highlight: 3 emails from ACCRA, asking me to PAY for the bloody business name i applied for. which was rejected later on because i didn't check my email and i didn't pay for the name and of course they got pissed and rejected it off.
like, manzz, i was telling bel that they rejected me and that it was a sign from the above that i shouldn't go into the fashion business yet, and all of it was because i didn't bloody PAY for it??? tis so lame, like honestly....
future graduates and friends, don't do this mistake. when you are asked to put an email address for official purposes, attach your REAL email, the one that you always use, no matter how silly it sounds. trust me, there are people with silly-sounding email out there, but if their work is good, you'll remember them by the catchiness of their email address and forget how silly it sound. don't repeat my idiotic mistake -______-
and to everyone who've sent email to my gmail and failed to receive a reply, here's my humblest and deepest apologies to you *bows in shame*
when i saw dbsg@lj has posted a new translation that smells like it's related to the lawsuit, i clicked it open, closed my eyes and prayed, and then started reading. still, THIS didn't make me happy. not as much as i thought it would.

firstly, okay the "We see that part of the terms in their contract has much destroyed the good morals of the whole contract. SM Entertainment should not interfere with its singers’ independent unique activities and also contract to perform and other entertainment activities.” part is alright i guess.
if i understand it correctly, it mean that SME will have no say in whatever independent business venture that the members do on their own time, and in this case, the business that came to mind is, of course, jaechunsu's CreBeau Cosmetic company. fine, that's settled then, SME can't get their hands on the company.
and this will make it interesting, coz as far as i know, CreBeau is planning to sue SME for defamation. i don't know if jaechunsu's really gonna go ahead with the plan, but if they do, at least they would be somewhat on the same ground and don't have to fear SME.
but, the part of "Through the individual agreement, there is high possibility for group activities to continue, but for the provisional disposition of the existing activities and the profit allocation, it is invalid and difficult. We will have to dismiss the application for the full provisional disposition of the effects of the exclusive belonging terms in the contract" sure confused the hell out of me.
i don't get it. but even though i don't get it, it doesn't sound like the boys win the case at all. and i don't get why.
why the heck are they not doing anything about the profit allocation when it's been known to the whole world that SME blatantly refused to hand over the evidence for the "preservation of evidence" act that jaechunsu had plead for and approved by courts? why??
people were saying that the full result is not out yet, and we've not seen newspaper articles and such too. so for the time being, i think it's good to keep on praying.
i should add TVXQ alongside Arashi in my list of "the best laughter therapist" around. i'm watching this MBC Fantasy Couple show and even though there were only 3 of them i kept laughing out loud. my mom's bathing, but the moment my dad came back home from picking up my aunt and uncle in the airport, i have to stop watching lest they thought i've finally gone crazy from doing nothing all day long at home...
the date is like 11 months ago, and this reminds me of just how little time TVXQ has spent in korea this year v__v I'M feeling sad for korean cassiopeia, what more cassiopeia themselves... i wish this lawsuit thingy will be over really soon and that they would have time to spend in korea before going to Japan for their 4th fanmeeting early next year. isn't it sad that with the lawsuit going on, all that we keep hearing about are their japanese plans? starting from Colors~ Melody&Harmony, and now fanmeeting... i really do feel sad for korean cassiopeia... but i'm sure the boys feel even worse for leaving them -___- damn you SME!
well yea, this is around their Mirotic promotion, which means they have those edgy haircuts on them. yoochun, in particular, has his famous asymmetrical bowl-cut hair, with a pair of thick-rimmed specs and bulky scarves around his neck. he looked really comfy, like the granny's real grandson ^^ and, if i may add, very very pretty too 0__0 btw, the granny's such an adorable old lady, somewhat reminds me of the Immortal Sunday Classic lady that doted on Junsu ^^ and the boys were really like her grandsons xD

- making progress in planning about my 'venturing to china'. this sunday will go for a seminar by one of the agencies. gotta start planning and registering fast, then i can concentrate on other things
- ...like persuading my parents to let me go to sg for tuition instead of here.. but with my cousin's marriage looming closer, i have a feeling it's not gonna be that easy to arrange the schedule -_-
- started watching bloody monday. things started extremely well, but i find myself questioning and criticising more as the episode progressed, which is never a good sign. sigh... but i think i'll finish watching it. i have enough half-watched dorama in my list (mei-chan, uta no oniisan, love shuffle, honey and clover, at home dad), this shouldn't add to it.

quick idol updates
seoul district courts have asked for both SM and jaechunsu to try negotiate and settle their problems outside the court, but both sides refused to budge. so, they took matters into their own hands and called both parties to court TO NEGOTIATE. ...manz, what's the use of calling them both to courts when you already know that THE REASON WHY THEY WERE THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE WAS BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T REACH AN AGREEMENT OUTSIDE COURT? was pretty much dumbfounded x.X
anyway both sides still refused to give in to each other -___-....
i hate this lawsuit... makes me feel some butterflies in my stomach everytime i think about what would happen to their future...
with such bright bright bright future ahead of them (they just created another history in Oricon japan by being the 1st foreign artist to score a number 1 spot in DVD ranking, and also for having both their single AND DVD at the top spot at the same time), it's quite impossible for them to break up, right?
even if by some extra terrestrial chances that they do leave SM, i hope Avex would take them in -_- or universal, whatever, i don't really care. with a reputation like them, they should have a long list of 'suitors' who are more than willing to take them under their wings, ne? i just hope they stay together in an agency tho... will be really weird if they split agency, things wont be easy for them...
but someone in the community posted a really good quote just now, something along the lines of it's impossible to breakaway a group of 5 people who still want to work together.
hoping for the best for them.... they said the courts gonna reach a decision soon so... *crosses fingers* always keep the faith!
btw, tegoshi's movie, the one with horikita maki and matsuyama kenichi, has finally been announced. the title is "dare ka ga kisu o shita" --> who kissed me? or who hurt me? hahahaha most probably the earlier hor.
like FINALLY it's announced. i've been waiting for it since i was still a NEWS fan until i'm only a tegomasu+yamapi fan. but i'll still be looking forward to it. hopefully it'll come to jakarta xD

before going on, let me just put a little disclaimer that i like each and every one of TVXQ member and their unique voices. true, i've had my preferences and dislikes when i started listening to them *coughschangmincoughs* but the more i listen to them, the more i can appreciate their individual strength and dynamics in their voices that makes them one whole TVXQ, starting from, IMHO, the one with the strongest voice control (su), most powerful voice (min), the most beautiful voice (jae), the most soothing voice (ho) and my favourite, most dynamic voice (chun). i still have my preferences, yes, but in no way am i trying to put the others down.
okay that's done, so let's get started.
Micky Yoochun - One Last Cry cover
as i listen to this song (yea, listen instead of watch coz i was closing my eyes most of the time), i felt like i'm thrown into a journey that's full of bumps and pitfalls, coz that's how yoochun sound here, like he sang with his heart bared open and voice hanging on by a single thread while he plundered through the song recklessly, tragically, beautifully.
i was expecting a slip of tone at every corner, a crack in at the edge of his voice as he stretched it thin, a sharp and a flat and a failure to hit the right pitch, but somehow, miraculously, he glided them all over nicely and made it sound like as though he didn't make a mistake 0_0
well he DID, at several instances. but, tho my ears picked it up, my brain managed to gloss it over and making excuses for them. the failure to hit he right pitch is a result of one of the reasons why i love his voice: the instability, as he switched back and forth from a normal voice to a falsetto to a growl to a soft and gentle coo and to a yell, but still managing (somehow, generally) to keep his pitch in check and not crack his voice. it's just awesome, the way he handle his voice like so easy and so beautifully.
that wasn't really a perfect performance in terms of pitching, but i love it tremendeously for the raw emotion that drips from every breath. always, always he's able to sing like as though his heart is at the end of the line. he doesn't just sing, he tells a story through his singing.
Youngwoong Jaejoong - Crying cover
jaejoong has always able to hold his ground while singing. his voice so stable and firm even while he sounded a bit strained, he tackles the highest pitch of a song perfectly, seemingly with ease even though truthfully it's not easy.
jaejoong's voice is smooth and gentle, rounded and almost without an edge, as opposed to yoochun's. although i find this song a bit boring if compared to Footsteps, it really showed off jae's ability to make a hard song sound so easy to be sung with that voice of his. jae loves to drag his voice. he said in an interview that it's not like he likes to do it, but more like he, somehow, is always doing it. but with a voice like that, why not, jae, why not?
so, when these two singers+composers combine forces, what do we get?
Jaejoong & Yoochun - Colours~ Melody & Harmony
a surprisingly safe song with easy-listening tempo and gentle melody that makes people bob their heads gently to the beat with, most probably, a smile in their faces.
this song brought a perfect conclusion to my comment about yoochun's and jaejoong's voices. just listen to them handling the song in their own styles; jaejoong's smooth singing versus yoochun's dangerously choppy singing that exposed the raw edge of his voice but still keeping his pitching in place.
my my my... when i saw that jaejoong and changmin are being put in one team, immediately i have high expectations of them: high expectations that they're going to entertain me in the very soulfighter manner. and, manz, jae didn't disapppoint me. firstly, 0.38, he ordered changmin to answer on his behalf in a very dismissive way, surprising the magnae "... o.O?" → *glomps min*
secondly, 2.52 another attack in the form of "changmin will go up there" and earning him a dumbfounded, shocked reaction from changmin → jaejoong you meanie!!! xD and 5.17, the split-second staring match of SoulFighter. i'm not surprised that changmin would let jae be up there, regardless of jae's past injury. jae had foreseen that, of course, that's why he had prepared his ground and made the first move. manz, if it's not because of the impromptu janken, lil min would be forced to go up there and he wouldn't be able to do anything but comply xD
yunho sacrificing the whole team to go up there and admitting the consequences of his actions "even if i get beaten up by them later back at home, why not DBSK exchange place with the people back there?" → banzai, leadersshi, as expected of you ^^ they're really like monkeys, climbing up and down, especialy yoochun who can't get his best position and was restless all around the frame xD
it's official, soulfighter is my second favourite pairings. like the indonesian song that went like this, "madu di tangan kananku, racun di tangan kiriku" ---> perfectly describes jaejoong in the middle of SoulMate-SoulFighter position xDDD
i haven't posted anything about MJ before but here's an update of a cover of his famous Ben by one of my favourite young artists of all time, Billy Gilman.
i simply love, love, LOVE his voice so much! love it better than the original version, could be.
too bad he's all grown up now and had lost that angelic voice he used to have. but he had released some singles and their contents were awesome and i guess that's better than nothing. he still sings tho, as far as i know, but that's the tragedy with young male singers, they were given the most beautiful voice when they were young, and most of them lost it when they hit puberty.
and, while we're at it, just to mention another one of my favourite child singer, Jean-Baptiste Maunier. manz, i've left JC for 3 years and i still remember that day when we were watching Les Choristes the movie with the rest of the Saints Chorale people. what amazing amazing voice...

i dropped my jaw when changmin whacked jaejoong with all his might, and laughed in glee when he whacked yunho's head lightly, earning an obviously disgruntled grimace from jaejoong xDDD
edit: watching the full game... the mention of cassiopeia and the blatant favoritism towards dong bang shin ki is hilarious to watch, really... why one of the guy was like, "umma (mommy)....(if only i'm in DBSK too)" at the display of favoritism LOL!!! even the boys were endlessly amused xD
the members say that changmin looks older than his age? but i really think that he behaves exactly like the magnae of the group. look at him clinging to his hammer after he had hit jaejoong and jae was too shocked to do anything other than looking shocked. "kyuung~" it looked as though he was sorry and concerned like, "hyung are you alright?" but didn't do it xDDD
jae is really the highlight of the show. him blabbering gibberish as he tried to convince changmin to hit yunho as hard as he had hit him was a total win. and his expression when changmin gave face to yunho by not hitting him as hard and giving the excuse "he's the leader" was priceless *glomps jae*
the only pitiable thing about this show is: yoochun wore a beanie ;__; it was during "O" period, one of the rare period in which he looked really good with long hair, but he didn't show it here -_- sigh...
yoosu love-hate relationship here. junsu saying that his relationship with yoochun is strictly "only meet when there's a need to" and hit him with as much might as changmin did to jaejoong xD but afterwards he held yoochun's hand like in silent apology ^^
the freestyle version is pretty fascinating. i don't recognise what the HECK were they saying, and i suspect that jaejoong and yunho spoke in their dialects 0_0 manz, i wish there's a translation for it. the speed suddenly dropped to half the previous speed and everyone were looking at each other in half a confusion ^^
the synchronising movement game was interesting. i mean funny. i mean hilarious!!!! xDDD the 3rd time they did it and they were doing well but still lose, those funny musclemen came in to kiss them and manz it was so chaotic LOL!!! look at them all sprawled on the floor in shock xDDD the one with junsu was particularly funny because of the cute heart the editor put there and the fact that junsu couldn't do anything much other than laugh and flail his legs in amusement xDDD
yoochun's fast reflexes might be doing him disservice instead coz he barely ever got more than one. but nevermind, jae also could barely get more than 1 xD and his exceptionally distinct laughter "ah! ha! ha! ha! ah! ha! ha!" (as opposed to junsu's "eukyangkyangkyang") could be heard clearly among other sounds. but he's really quite exceptional, jaejoong. he's like......sho-kun!!! xDDDD an expert in failure in such awesome way xDDDD
MD has closed down *sobs* i can't believe it!!! i know haven't been there for quite some time, but considering what a large reserve they have (like, several thousands dollars in the bank), i thought that they would stay on forever. they didn't seem to be having problems gathering donations like some other sites do, and their reserve would definitely sustain them for many months at the very least. but now they're gone and i'm really sad ;___;
for the time being i'm going to MFox to read. picked up skip beat again and, man, i've forgotten how good it is. true, it was lagging quite a bit nearing the 20th volume, but i do enjoy the mangaka's ability to portray dark and creepy emotions =D
this is the continuation of the previous X Man episode. i've posted a video of one part of it before, the touch touch wrestling, but this is the later part of the touch wrestling part, which is just as hilarious as the first one.
soulfighter really didn't give each other face when they're playing xDD they were tossing each other out so freely. and the dynamic here is better than the first one. first they kidnapped changmin into their territory, and was about to apply the same trick that the opponent did to junsu earlier on, when yunho came in and tagged changmin, and off they scrambled to drag him into their territory again, jaechun did. then jaejoong laid down, and yunho pulled him off, and yoochun sprawled replacing jaejoong, and hodong tagged yunho (even though he's the opponent!!!) and sprawled himself on top of yoochun, and haha-guy laid on top of hodong, and junsu piled on top of haha-guy and jaejoong joined in at the top. my goodness, i think yoochun just died there at the bottom of the pile!!! xDDDDDDD like, heloooo???? 4 guys piling on top of him like a hamburger?????? xDDDD and he's not exactly big, yoochun xDDD . lol at myungsoo's questionable agenda of wanting to reveal jaejoong's underwear XDD
this is also the X Man episode in which jaejoong sang Footsteps to one of the girls, and he performed a really romantic+funny song with yoochun. but i've talked about those, so let's move on to the part which i've never watched/talked about before:
yuri and yoochun dance xD they look so cute together, honestly ^-^ or maybe i just have a particular weakness towards yoochun's smile ^^
wow...they were supposed to carry the girls + additional weight???? ganbare, dbsg! xD yuri-unnie looked so comfy clinging onto yoochun like a koala bear tho xD but junsu also looked so comfy carrying chaeyeon ^^ i'm amazed that changmin could still sing =DD and his vocie still so steady too ^^ ooo, are the dongbang boys ALL gonna sing? =DDD "you only love, i can never give up~" i love that song =DD and yunho's voice always sound better when he's not performing in concerts, i don't know why o.O he sound so sweet here ^^ omg yoochun cracked me up with his "nuna nuna, nuna nuna nuna..." xDDD he didn't look like he's struggling tho, must be the smoking effect
i think it'll be easier on the boys if the girls are clinging to them like yuri did? but, sasuga dbsg, they're still standing *___* but, oh goodness, plus another 5kg?? that's like 15kg heavier than the girl's actual weight! 0___0 who's gonna be eliminated......?? psst, my guess is yoochun first xD oh wait, when is this clip? ehh? yoochun's voted as xman? why? o.O i thought the star of this XMan must be jaejoong! really, that klutz has given so many highlights in the show, not to mention his performance of Footsteps was so wow~ heh heh . . . . oh.... they have had a mission??? i mean missionS?? ahh..... so desuka... i never know how XMan is being played, honestly. someone should enlighten me... is it like, at the start of the show where they were listening to some kind of recording from a phone, they were being given a mission and they were supposed to carry it out? did everyone heard the same mission? if not, what do the rest of the hear? and how would they know who to vote, as in why did yoochun get a unanimous vote of 12 if the rest doesn't know what ot look for in the xman? o.O i'm very confused... perhaps i should ask the community...

*gasps* omo! hidoi yo, changmin!! ga tanggung-tanggung, he's really serious about beating yoochun to the ground 0___0 *shocked!* maybe i'm still quite used to changmin playing it rough with jaejoong (they're the SoulFighter after all), but to yoochun??? never! chun's the last member in TVXQ that i will associate with on-screen rough-play, in all honesty. so, i was quite taken aback at that violent attack from changmin 0__0!!
junsu came to take revenge. and 0__0 gee...they're really pretty violent, eh? i think junsu had seen what changmin could do (and had done) to yoochun and he kinda readied himself for his attack. if not, i don't think he could've withstood the attack. imo, the only person who would've stood changmin's attack, if he hasn't been warned beforehand, would be yunho and only yunho *nods*. okay, and maybe junsu too. jaejoong and yoochun wouldn't stand a chance against the hot-blooded magnae's attack xDDD
aaaand leadersshi finished it off. way to go, yunho, your reflex was so quick it almost felt like cheating xDDD lol! look at junsu's flabbergasted grin (that grin is such a trademark of his... shocked and surprised and still smiling from ear to ear) and changmin's pleasantly surprised expression xD
LOL kang hodong really pointed out the true reason why the dong bang boys are not taking things easy on each other: they do have their own personal armyfans standing behind them, they're not afraid of the others xDDD LOL to that guy who was behind him xD . ???!?!?! what the heck are all these entertainers doing??? are they making each other fall down as a measure of protection so that the others don't hurt DBSK and got hurt by their fans as a result of that?? *confused* :D? jae was obviously amused by their antics, and so am i! xD cassiopeia, your power has been recognised even on screen... while in a way it is cool, and perhaps they're just joking to make things more interesting, it might be not a very nice portrayal of dbsk fans in general, ne.... =/
wah... they're preparing the ground for a yunjae match xD L!O!L!!O!L!O!L!O!LO!L!!! omg this is so EPIC!!!!!!! "nobody would take a look at us (a/n: considering that there are dong bang shin ki at our backs waiting for a showdown). this is the only way both of us could live" (a/n: and escape the wrath of cassies for having hurt their idols) ==> LOL! no wonder they're entertainers, they're so funny in their ad-libs xD
manz, it's not fair! jae wouldn't stand a chance against yunho. in fact i don't think jae would stand a chance against anyone in the group, other than yoochun who might give in to him considering his placating nature xD xDDDDDDDDDD but gotta give it to him and his dorky nature, i didn't expect a tickling attack in such a situation at all! in fact, if you observe carefully, it's pretty clear that yunho's much stronger than him (i've seen enough of guys trying to do chin-ups to know that it's difficult to pull up your whole body like yunho did). but his resilience paid off, well done jae ^___^
this is the continuation of that. there are some cut-off parts (coz i like the earlier one's sub better than this sub but that one doesn't have the continuation, which is this part -_-)
a summary of what had happened before this return match: park myung soo asked for yoochun again, and this time both of them were taken down together (lol at park myung soo's stare attack). changmin and junsu had both been replaced by 2 girls, who conveniently took each other out, and the editor cut their parts off and return with jae-chun-haha versus park myung soo-eagle eye-yunho. eagle-eye (i duno his name, man) took down both yoochun and myungsoo in one go.
and then, as seen at the early part of this clip, they went for jae and ho respectively instead of each other, and taken down together, leaving yunjae at the finale match once again =p i say these entertainers really know what the fans want xD i love how they always play the music of "O" whenever the guys were on against each other.
ROFLMAO yunhoooo xDDD that was a really cute revenge!! xDDD jae tickled him with his foot, and yunho tickled jae with his HAND xDDD i don't know about yunho (i have suspicion that jae's tickling attack earlier on wasn't the reason why he fell down) but i know that jae's very ticklish xDDD *claps* well done, leader-sshi ^^
aaahahahahahaha yoochun, singing with such a romantic voice, and ending it so harshly xD aaaand, yunjae's official debut on screen xD i really don't know why jae sang Hug to yunho tho, the lyrics is so questionableromantic xDDD
come come, continue on, i can't stop watching. after this is the epic verbal battle of SoulFighter xD i've blogged about it before, but i'm gonna comment in greater depth here. i've watched this several time and still unsure how the Knockdown is decided, but i think they're supposed to make the other speechless and unable to say anything else. move forward to 5.43 marking to start watching SoulFighter banter =D
the most hilarious is, of course, jae saying "mian..." in such a small voice that changmin cracked up xDDDDDDDDD his "mian..." plus that puppy-dog eyes of his is a real killer xDDDDDD
here is the hard evidence why i say that jae is such a klutz he says the wrong thing at exactly the wrong time. first, he said that they (he, kibum of SuJu, changmin and yoochun) went to drink "juice". changmin, nonplussed and unaware of anything, innocently asked, "what kind of juice?" and jae realised for the first time, that this was going to be tricky. so he said, "bitter juice" -> lol! okay, fine, bitter juice. then... about the passing out of kibum and changmin, he changed the "bitter juice" to "cola" --> ...!! xD myunsoo even asked "did you put something in the cola??" ..okay fine. cola, that is. and then.... *watch the continuation below here*
...that klutzheaded jae went on to blurt out that it was alcohol!!! and even with changmin on the floor burying his face in his hand, that klutzheaded of a jaejoong didn't even realised that he had SAID it (alcohol) until MC-Yoo and yoochun approached him from behind to remind him, "cola.. it's cola!" and he went "...!!! *%$#%$#^%$* " ==> omg lmao! manz, jaejoong, you're such a klutz!! i suspect the issue of underage drinking in korea and japan are equally serious, why uchi and kusano was kicked out of NEWS because of it, didn't they? this is a very tricky situation, jaejoong, gotta be more careful next time!
but, honestly, this is the very first time i watched someone win in the way jaejoong did, without attacking others but taking all the blame himself and saying sorry about it xDDD for many others that i've watched, they all attacked each other with verocity and sharpness that even Hey!Hey!Hey!'s Downtown duo can't match up! *claps* bravo, jaejoongie!! xDDD the last "....you're right" was so unexpected and so hilarious xDDD i guess that's the only way anyone can stand against changmin: not by fighting fire with fire, but by unexpectedly admitting to it and take the words out of the magnae's mouth ^^
i always enjoy watching changmin in variety shows like this, he laughed like he's all alone in his bedroom or something, so freely xDDD it's a pleasure to see him laughing at his hyungs xDDD yuri is always a bit...thick-skinned in the way she always portray her infatuation towards the dongbang boys. but in a way it's refreshing to see xD go, yuri unnie! xD
"junsu-yah, there's something that hyung also not satisfied with you" -> LOL! i've never heard him addressing himself as hyung before, is this the "ue kara" (a/n: "from above") speech that tego is so popular about? "the youngest min is the happiest" --> YES!! he's always so happy laughing at his hyungs! xDDD someone should make a gif of compilation of changmin laughing at his hyungs, it's gonna be funny, coz his expression then is a total win xD
i love how they started to put in the foggy effect when yoochun's up, on top of playing his song at the background. sasuga the greasyromantic prince of DBSG, micky yoochun, eh? xD i mean, all he did was "so young ah" and she's flustered already --> LOL! xD (a/n: isn't it similar to those the words that he said when he was promoting Seolleim ice cream? "seohyun-ah~" =D?)
bel told me about this game once and i completely forgotten about it til just now. manz, this is a crack! look at soulfighter happily dragged and tossed each other out of the ring without as much as hesitation xD lol!
i know things gonna get out of hand once changmin stepped into the ring to handle jaejoong. the girls' game was kinda brutal in a way tho o.O but soulfighter were hilarious! and when park myung soo came it was even more so xD
this is pure crack! starting from jae's innocent, adorable, honest and pure "mianhae" as changmin LOL-ed uncontrollably at him, and micky and his oh-so-famous greasy casanova attack xDDD this episode is a real crack man...
i miss yoochun and jaejoong's hair here =DDD they both look so uncharacteristically yoochun and jaejoong, it's kind of refreshing =DDD
i didn't expect them to be so hilarious, really, coz i don't remember laughing so much when watching AADBSK2. but here, the saipan holiday, was so bloody hilarious. well, at the start, that is xDDD the fight over who to become the MC, the formation of XiMin union and the breakup of XiMin union within 2 minutes (LOL changmin!!) and the blatantly cheating changmin xDDDD i was expecting junsu to be the clown here but surprisingly i'm laughing at changmin the most, and jae, of course xD
i'm going to get horizontal scrolls. but to tamper with my current codes would take all day... not to mention the designing of the new graphic which, until now, i still don't know what i want to feature.
should i put them? or not put them? but i was in NEWS fandom for a whole year and i didn't feature them in my skins v_v or should i go for something more universal this time? something that doesn't feature anyone? but that would be my first time not featuring anyone.
should i go back to yochan? i don't know what's up with him now, no news of his surgery but i do hope that it means he's recovering.... his birthday's coming up soon, may as well i feature another one to celebrate his birthday xD

at first i was put off, coz there's only junsu in this show and there's no sub! like, *ngeh* why would i want to watch this? there's no yoochun inside, it doesn't look funny, and it looked kinda serious with the presence of a senior female singer and some other people that i completely don't know (i only know 1 MC from the Line Up show). so in the end i keep pressing forward and only focused on Junsu's cuts.
and, man, i kind of glad i watched it. this is one of those clips that make me feel really proud of him and of DBSK as a whole. junsu sings so effing bloody well that the senior singer, Patty Kim, completely adored him ^___^ and with that huge sincere sweet smile and sweet personality of his, there's no doubt why junsu is among korea's top sweetheart. which is why i can never stop wondering why a certain someone from a certain group is so bloody popular when he always look so grouchy and moody and act cool and distant and....look like a cold-blooded guy who happens to be drop-dead-gorgeous looking and happens to be the best singer among his groupmates
i have absolutely no idea what the heck they were saying, but at 1.25, when junsu finished singing the first time and they were like kinda bullying him (and junsu, like what he usually does, just laugh and be submissive, not unlike tego, really), i have a hunch that they're saying that he's not born in '86 but in '68 xDDD someone who knows korean, please enlighten me!
at 1.46, look at the way he danced xD he's just so, so adorable! like, that was no kim junsu dancing, that was angelxiah dancing and singing (o^____^o) it's like Balloons MV all over again, the adorable sheepxiah. i can't believe they initially asssigned him to be the "cool character" and got changmin to be the "cute character": it's a mismatch since the start! xD as much as he wanted people to stop calling him cute whenever he's not doing cute things, junsu IS simply cute!! xDDD that huge grin of his is so contagious and make people want to smile too and pinch his cheek and glomp him and squeeze him into a bottle and bring home to keep xDD
amazing amazing voice control as usual, of course. for the last one, i think the key progression was a bit tricky and he didn't manage to do it. but patty kim loved him already she said "mianhae" and still gave him a heart "saranghae" xDDD oh junsu!
i really really like this song, though i never actually know the english title. i only know that when i listened to it and i liked it, i flipped out my ipod, tried to read the hangul, and managed to sing the ending part of the chorus coz it's the title of the song xD like... *reads again* "non na eui no rae" or something
this is the first video i've seen of their live performance of that song and i must say that i'm very pleased =DD they all sound great here! i especially enjoyed yunho and junsu singing at the top of their lungs and hitting the notes square on =) yunho strained his voice somewhat, but at least he didn't get out of tune ^_^ you too, leader-sshi, stop smoking! -_-
so, the big news is that NWPD DVD will be released (NEWS Winter Party Diamond).
but, the bigger news is the cover page of the new DVD.
never before this have i allowed myself to be swayed over in my decision to buy a CD/DVD just because of the cover page. okay maybe there WAS a moment in which i was lured TO BUY because of the packaging, but NEVER before have i been so put off by the packaging that i didn't even want to have it among my CD/DVD collection.
that's HOW BAD the cover page for NWPD is.
like, you'll never see any other DVD with horrible-er cover page than NWPD. it really should win the "worst cover page design" award, if there's any.
if you remember the previous 2 NEWS DVD before this, "Never Ending Wonderful Story (N.E.W.S.) and Pacific Tour, both of them has somewhat similar feel to the cover page: cutesy, adorable packaging, somehow reflecting a land full of simple happiness, even if it looks somewhat kiddy. but at least they're still stylish somehow and i really like them!
in fact, once you put them side by side like this, you see that the cover page is somewhat coherent with one another, with repeated elements like balloons and clouds with soft pastel-tone colours. they're adorable!!
but just take a look at THIS:

....see what i mean? out of 100 fans who've seen the dover page, 95% of them were horrified, some of them, like me, are reconsidering buying the DVD, while the rest of them still have the tactfulness to say "well at least there IS a DVD, and maybe the content will be great". i, on the other hand, am not so noble. the cover page is horrendous and that's it.
i hope johnny realises how much negative vibe this cover page is sending and get someone to change it SOON!

due to a stupid blunder, i ordered double copies of Versailles' Ascendead Master single from 2 different vendors, HMV Japan and cdjapan.
the one that i bought from HMV came first, but it came as is, without any extras or anything eventhough i ordered it about the same time i ordered from cdjapan.
the one from cdjapan came in later, but it was accompanied with 3 posters! i only get the chance to open the box just now and fished out the Ascendead Master regular edition CD that i didn't order from hmv. the posters, will open later =)
in the regular edition CD, there's an extra song called Gekkouka. sounds so much like Janne da Arc song, but totally different feel, of course ^^
so, now i have 7 copies of Ascendead Master: double copies each for Ascendead Master special edition 1, 2, and 3, and one regular edition. i regretted buying the special limited edition 1,2,3 which included a DVD each, really. i rather have an extra music than a PV, coz what's amazing from Versailles is their music. their visual is no short of awesome too, of course, but for me the most important things is their song.
so, next time i won't be fooled with any form of DVD and will just hunt down the one edition that has more songs.
anyway, i'm gonna send my extra copies to Joyce who's also a fervent lover of Versailles =) gonna sell it cheap to her tho, take it as some form of birthday present xD
Jaechun's single Colors~ Melody and Harmony that's officially released today has broken the all-time record of Tohoshinki's first day sales, reaching a massive 180,000 copies shipment on the first day of sales according to this article translation from Daily Sports. but i think they made a mistake. according to oricon, the first day shipment was only 103,940 copies, not 180,000 copies. still, it's waaaaay up high beyond VAMPS's (hyde!) new single at 13,000 copies 0__0 that's like almost 100,000 copies difference!
amazing feat! omedetou, tohoshinki!!! i know that the colors~ melody and harmony single went under the name of jejung and yuchun of tohoshinki, but whatever work they do will always be shared equally among the 5 of them and the fans know this, so it'll be unfair to just credit soulmate and not tohoshinki as a group.
just some weeks back, there were an appeal for fans to preorder the Color~ single so that it will break 200k copies sold in the first week, just to let the boys know that they are appreciated and perhaps to let SM sees red by the kind of profits Avex get while they themselves were being sued. i guess with this it will be easy to break the 200,000 copies target for first week, ne?

Background: formed in 2007 by founding member Kamijo (ex Lareine) and Hizaki (ex Sulfuric Acid), they released their debut single Revenant Choir which tells a story about a clan.
Just as like Kamijo's past works, Versailles tells a story through their symphonic metal music and extravagantly elaborate costumes inspired from antique European era.
