couple of weeks ago i said i'm delving into the world of fanfic once again.

now i can say that i've found my favourite writer.

she writes beautiful metaphors able to depict a picture of a thousand words, colours providing deep emotion and alerting senses into its limits, random words hinting at history and hidden stories beneath the said description...

she writes like i've never read anyone writes before; rich in emotion, sense-boggling, gracefully flowing and exquisitely beautiful.

often times i ponder over a line, gorgeous and beautiful, and reflected back on my sec 2 literature lessons, and positively sure that her writings can be used as potential materials.

thank you, linda. i may not know you in real life, but i worship your jaechunswritings.

perhaps one day i may chose a fic and break it down, just to find out why her lines always able to tug on heartstrings and simply send me away into her world, the world which she created with her keyboard and an adoring heart and a maginficent mind.

k-box has tvxq real MV!!!!

yesterday met with mimi and merry, and they treated me to k-box! xD more story about yesterday coming up, but i just have to release a bit of tvxq from my head now.

as usual, i started browsing through the japanese sections. this time, tho, i got a bit smarter and searched for the singer-->group also, and managed to find tohoshinki!!!! BUT they only have 3 songs!!! and 1 of them was like bee-gees, i don't know wth is it doing there inside tohoshinki folder. anyway, one of them was rising sun, and the other one has chinese words which i don't know how to read. i got curious and just chose both songs.

due to the fact that i spent looong looooong time browsing (and not choosing many...), i spent most of the time singing songs that mimi and merr had chosen and just continued browsing. so, the gap between the time that i sing is quite big. during one of our toilet breaks, i squeezed up that one song with kanji words, planning to just see what song is it and that's it.

... BUT!!! they started playing A FREAKIN REAL LIVE PERFORMANCE of "unforgettable"!!!!! and, the song being korean, i don't know how to sing!!! (furthermore the lyrics was in CHINESE, like heh?????) and so, i released the analog, and started listening to them singing with their beautiful voices... and mimi was there with me, and i told her that this is it, this is the group that i'm so into now. and after listening to them, mimi said that she likes yoochun's voice too!!!!! xDDDD right, i won't be surprised if she's hooked onto someone else later, but no matter, it was yoochun whom she went "ya suaranya kayak agak2 serak2 basah gtu" <--- o ya? xD but no matter, his voice is sexy!

when merr came back, quite some time later, and after many many many songs later, rising sun came up. and it's ANOTHER FREAKIN REAL MV they played!!!!! unfair!!!!! they have both songs in the real video and others are like shitty sceneries of some unknown places and unknown people doing some unknown business..... but, whatever, it was the VERY first time i watched rising sun MV. the boys were...well, boyish, there xDDD it was like, what, 5 years ago? they were like, 18 years old?? xD merry was watching this time round. the first person whom she picked out was, of course, vain-prince jaejoong xDDD and the second person whom she picked out was changmin. rising sun, being the song that it is, doesn't really allow the boys to capture our hearts with their voices, so naturally people pick out the faces first. but mimi, having listened to "unforgettable" earlier on, went searching for yoochun xD and i told her, ngga mi, dia ngga ganteng. but he sure has really sexy voice ^^

at home, i just realised that i've not watched so many of their PVs... NEWS doesn't have many PVs coz they've only just released about 10 singles now? and so, about 10 pvs, it's not so hard to catch up with. but tohoshinki had just released their, what, 25th single? LOL! furthermore, at the beginning i refused to watch their videos coz i want to be able to like their voices fully first before attempting to likerecognise their faces. so far, i think these are the only pvs i've watched:

- kiss the baby sky - among the very first that i watched, and the very first that i really like =) and the very first time i was pulled into chun's smile

- mirotic - the very first of their dance PV that i love! and, until now, remains my fave dance pv, especially the dance version coz it doesn't have other things to distract me away from their droolsome dancing xD like watching the boys getting seduced and tortured by whatever creature that flying woman is

- bolero - watched it because i was so totally into the song. the pv is not too catchy, a bit boring, but the song is amazing so i couldn't care less if all they do is just staring into space, stand still and lip-sync xD

- o.sei.han.go - the second daance pv that i watched, and i watched both o.sei.han.go and o.jung.bang.hap, and i like both =) but why i was interested to watch it? because i was watching the pv of...

- balloons - which is their utmost cutest and fun-est pv xDDD i was interested to check out O pv after watching them they goofing off and dancing O while in those hilarious animal outfits xDD

- choosey lover - actually THE FIRST TOHOSHINKI MV THAT I WATCHED, and that was because they were comparing NEWS's koi no abo pv with choosey lover and how choosey lover looks classy while koi no abo just...eugh?. i didn't really like the pv tho =p maybe coz i didn't really like the song =p

- doushite kimi wo suki ni natte shimattandarou - also one of the earlier MV i watched, coz it was the first song that velnyo introduced to me. not too interesting pv =P i mean, for every pv, i love to watch the boys looking pretty and all, but basically that's about all: them standing around, looking cool and handsome, staring straight into the camera while singing, looking pained, standing around looking vacant and tragic, and some random actor/ess acting the rest of the story out =P

- survivor - one of the first that i skip-watched (watching while pressing forward, skipping parts). really like it, maybe because i really like the song =D chun's voice here is...i can't describe it xD but i love his voice here, the way he dragged his end vowels into sighs...

- beautiful you - also among the first that i watched. i think this is during the time when "tohoshinki = the guy whom voice i like + the guy whom looks i like" time, when they were still nothing to me but a,b,c,d and e xDDDDD here, my whole attention went to yunho and solely to yunho. i absolutely love his hairstyle here! heck, i didn't even cast a single glance at yoochun! i noticed jaejoong, of course, coz his face is striking, and changmin coz he's also very good looking, and junsu simply because his face is unique. but, until just now when i re-watched the clip, i absolutely didn't remember seeing yoochun!!! xDDDD LOL, gomenne chun! the song isn't too catchy tho, so the pv became so-so only. but the boys looked gorgeous there.

- purple line - i skip-watched this and until now have NOT watched it fully =P i'm not so into the song, so...

- magic castle - i watched it, but can't remember when and where and what happenened in the pv xD instead i remembered the making-of xDD lol!


so, *counts* about 11 pvs? yea, and there are many others that i have to watch, ne? i mean all the ballads that i love, begin, asu wa kuru kara, love in the ice, FOREVER LOVE, i'll be there, and i don;t know what else, i want to watch those pvs too!

oh i should add rising sun to the list also, the one i watched yesterday.


so, now my mission is to hunt down and youtube all tvxq mvs which i've never watched before xD

btw, this is going to a different point altogether. with all the new single that arashi just released, the comm is flooding with crazy moon pv and, soon, performances at variety shows and interviews. but i just can't make myself stop at those entries to read them. instead, now i'm scanning my f-list for entries from dbsg and reading it xDDD bad me...

the newest news from the secret code tour frontier is that junsu is now fully recovered and has returned on stage and dancing ^____^ am very glad to hear that! and apparently he's glowing and stealing limelights xD oh well, the tour had just started for junsu, ne? xD

and fans who wrote fan accounts kept saying how thin yoochun is becoming... i must admit that when i first started in the fandom, i thought chun's a bit plump. and after watching bolero, i was sure that he was positively chubby! (go look for bolero pv and watch, he WAS chubby!!) but after watching more clips, i just realised that it's only his face that's a bit chubby, his body is so lean! and sometimes he even look petite! so, please chunnie, don't lose anymore weight! -____-

i suppose it's unintentional, but the starting part of it is JUST SO o.sei.han.go....

o.sei.han.go is a tad more complex not to mention looks immensely more sophisticated, but i like the rest of kimi wa muteki PV. as usual, i like arashi better while watching them instead of just listening to them. they seem to have really light feet and flexible body, not to mention their coreographs are usually light and not heavy and nice to follow. if i'm watching them, i can spread all my attention to everyone as oppose to only concentrating on ohno's voice when i'm listening to them.

obachan, i want your specific comment on this, coz i really REALLY think that he looked like inocchi's long lost twin in this vid!!! O.o"""""""""" i'm not saying that i like him coz he looks like inocchi (coz what i like about inocchi is his voice anyway) but it's funny that they could look similar from certain angle. this must be like a looong time ago, coz he still looked so small and petite and young xD btw him poking junsu at the back is just so random xD

happy happy!!

kay, here's a really quick update

1. fashion show is over. the experience was AMAZING! so chaotic stressful crazy exciting high all kinds of emotions were there. will do a full entry on this alone

2. went shopping with my parents yesterday to buy fan, mirowave, and the stupid fan gave me headache

3. ...which persisted til today

4. ...which is the day when we're supposed to put up everything for the exhibition

5. ...which means i woke up at 4am tryign to finish up my illustrations with a throbbing headache and lack-of-sleep from before fashion show, which still hasn't been repaid

6. ...which caused cloudy eyes which persisted even tho i kept blinking and relaxing my focus

7. today my mom's going to jb and i have to accompany her

8. ...which means i have to go sch early to set up so that we can go early

9. ...which means i have to go print my portfolio even earlier even if my illustrations are lacking

10. ...which, after further thoughts, i won't dare to put up anyway because they're incomplete

11. monday there'll be external examiner coming

12. everything + #11 = die

i swear that i'm not trying to hate them or dislike them. in fact, time and again, i search for them and voluntarily watched their performances, willing myself to find something good in them (other than in the form of kame), but somehow it's not working. i forced myself to watch the performance seriously, intently, without averting my eyes off somewhere like i usually do, to stay focus on the screen and to perk up my ears and listen carefully. but it's just not working.

...or maybe i shouldn't do that last action, and not read the translation to the lyrics that newshfan had provided too which shows what a...an, empty, lyrics, they have and just willing myself to watch them from a fangirl pov.

i've been consciously trying to like them. and i don't think i've ever tried this hard on any other groups before. for others, if i don't like them, or even interested in them, i just refused to watch. full stop. and that'll stay forever until by some miracles they manage to convince me otherwise. but for them, i've tried. have been consciously trying. and still am trying.

...but it's not working.

i noticed that the first time i posted about them was just a year ago, 18th may08, and i was forcibly telling myself "okay, no, stop, don't go down the path of 'dislike' coz there'll be no turning back". i've known that from the start, and this journey of "trying not to hate them" had been going on for a WHOLE year. and i'm still here, battling with myself...

someone, dare ka, give me cartoon kattun clips! perhaps it'll work better if i watch them on variety show instead of while singing/dancing.

updates

yesterday we had fittings with our models for the fahsion show. due to the fact that there are 16 students in the class, and each student has 6 outfits, it has been decided that we would have 3 groups of models, 6 models in each group. i belong to the "top knot" group which, for some unknown reason, consists of 4 asians out of 6, 2 of them are japanese. everyone's very friendly, i even chatter quite a lot with kazumi-san. the first fitting ended at around 2. at about 3.30, when we came back from lunch, bruna b, my model for my photoshoot, was there already *___*

so happy to see her! and everyone was raving about her when she left to the toilet. "she's so pretty!!!!!!" *____* yea she is! i'm disappointed that she's not in my group, coz during fitting, she fitted everyone's clothes PERFECTLY! and they all look really good on her! and it's good, coz, being the last girl, she would be walking everyone's showpiece. but, well, i consoled myself by saying that at least i've had her wearing my whole collection for my photoshoot ^___^ she'll be back in New York soon, and don't think she'll be back here v__v so sad. but, well, i'm hoping for the best for her ^___^ go conquer NY, bruna! ^^

*while i'm writing this hany is watching the korean HYD 1st epi >_<> what can i say? yucks! but since the stupid tv is just beside this comp, i found myself glancing every so often just because i forgot NOT to*

i want to learn hangul

i NEED to learn hangul!!!

...at least enough so that i can browse through korean sites and know where to go to watch video clips and fancams xDD

i mean, look at the first clip below. i got it from a korean fansite which i found that, after much blind-browsing later on, has a LOT of stuff!

yoochunnie on batsu game?

all i know is that it comes from the 3rd big fan meeting held very much recently by the official tohoshinki japanese fanclub: Bigeast. i didn't know what they did to chunnie but if i were to hazard a guess, i think it's ice cubes xD jaejoong followed yoochun down as he drop to the floor --> xD usually yoochun is the figure who'd be at the bullied-member's side as though taking care of him (but maybe i thought like that because usually it's su who gets into embarrassing situation? xD) but since it's himself who gets bullied now, someone else has to take his role, ne? ^^


since i'm not really good at blind-browsing (browsing and clicking without knowing what the heck i just clicked), i went back to youtube as a source of entertainment, sigh. but fans are really fast in updating youtube too.

wow look at the date! if the date is right, this CF is reeeally new =D oh, they should be new, coz it's just posted up in the comm ^^ this reminds me a lot of pi-chan's CM... what's that? i forgot the name already... weider in jelly! xD highlights: 0.07 --> that's classic yoochun "hazukashii~~" pose, and i love it! xD 0.25-0.26 --> usually he does that to imitate junsu's act-cute pose, but i think it's becoming one of his trademark too xD and of course, changmin randomly molesting yunho o.O

junsu's fave: oyaji gag! oyaji gag is something like a random play-on-words that substitute a word by another word of completely different meaning, thus catching the listener off-guard and usually creating the "ngeh?!" reaction xD the more complex form is prevalent in Yakitate Japan manga, for those who've read it. to be able to understand the gag, you have to listen carefully (and, personally, READ) and consider the context of the sentence. here the word being used is "fukuoka", coz they were there, and they play a lot wih FUKU (clothes). pay attention 1.24 onwards.


started from junsu who pretended to wipe a sweat from yoochun, "FUKUOKA" (i don't bloody understand the words) who initiated a fangirling-frenzy oyaji-gag-battle among the members. yoochun took on the challenge by saying, "kyou desu ne, junsu no FUKU, OKAshii desu ne" (today, junsu's clothes is weird), and junsu followed "jitsu wa, fukuoka de, kono FUKU O KAttan desu" (actually, bought the clothes in fukuoka), and jaejoong who unexpectedly chipped in, "soshitara, sono FUKU O KAshite kure" (if so, lend me the clothes), and yoochun followed up with an apologise, "GOMENtaiko" (mentaiko=marinated roe of pollock, according to wikipedia) xD 2.29 --> their poses are like xD! after that, yunho chimed in with another oyaji gag which i don't really understand and doesn't flow too well with the earlier jaechunsu-gag, but at least he tried, ne leader? ^^

for the boys to be able to produce oyaji gags like these would only mean that they're getting more fluent in japanese, which is good, ne? (coz i understand better when they're talking or having interview in japanese than when it's korean xD)




for the last one, i was battling with myself whether or not to put this up... but, well, i'll just warn you: GOOSEBUMPS ALERT! xD like, if-you're-not-yoochun-or-junsu-fans-watch-at-your-own-risk alert xDDD

there's this fic that i started witing when i was stressed with A's preparation, and has all my beloved jrockers as casting.

and then came NEWS, and i include everyone into the story too, abandoning the initial story and jump to focus on NEWS.

and now comes tvxq. and now i've already started my favourite part of writing: creating my characters and background. there's no way i wouldn't write about them with all the dorkiness they've shown on and off stage!

and i just joined a fanfic comm, and manz, it reminded me when i was still obsessed with reading diru fanfics. fanfic-dom is addictive! there are numerous fans out there who write absolutely wonderful fics, those that warm your heart and make you giggle uncontrollably. i just hope i won't get sucked in too deeply into it.

btw to those who understands and who might want to recommend me some fics (my otp is jaechun btw), i really adore fluffs, but no more than that please.

hola~

100% school-related

so, i've been alive to blog about tvxq-related entries but haven't been alive enough to start thinking about schoolwork. haha... yea, today mark the one week since our assessment. you won't believe how looooong this past week felt. i'll just do a quick summary of what had happened. i want to do yamapi-style entry but goodness knows how bad i am at doing it so....

firstly it was the sense of relief for having finished assessment, which is also combined with the sense of utter exhaustion that left most of us home-bound for 2 days, doing nothing but sleeping and full-body-and-mind resting.

thursday mark the day when we can collect our stuff, and we're supposed to come to school for a debriefing. the stress that precedeed that event is enough to make the 2 days felt like 2 weeks -_- after all, it's our marks that we would be getting. and i know how much work is completed when i submitted it... for the 2 days, when i was awake, i kept preparing myself mentally for a resubmission... and i prayed hard >_<>

thursday i had eyebrow-threading date with rache. and because of that, the usually-never-on-time me was actually early to come to class. i didn't dare to step into the classroom... what if the teachers were there to wait for us, what if my stuff are strewn all over the table with a paper saying "resubmit!" on it, what if what if what if...

but rache stepped in, said "there's nobody here la!"... and the room was dark...okay, it was 1.30, with our wall completely made of giant pieces of clear glass looking outside at the sky it wasn't the least bit dark, but the lights weren't turned on and the side nearest to the door (mine!) was somewhat shadowed.

stepped into the classroom. air-cond was blasting full and it was contrastingly cooling compared to the fierce afternoon sun outside. as i approached my table, i saw papers. feedback forms.

..... feedback form????? i thought the teachers said that they wouldn't be giving anymore feedback forms coz it's useless, coz whatever marks we get is our final mark anyway??? ........ so are feedback forms = resubmission????????

of course, the first thing that caught my eyes were the grades. fyi, F stands for fail, E for unsatisfactory, D for satisfactory, C for good, B for very good, A for excellent and A+ for outstanding, and minimum req for passing is D.

my grades were Ds and C+s. doesn't sound good? hmm, maybe. but i know my work better than anyone, and considering the completion state of my stuff, i THANK GOD that i have these grades. honestly. i sat down and read the comments, and felt the reality sinking into my mind and i felt relieved. so relieved that i bounced to rache's table and hugged her. her grades were great btw.

as i felt the sense of relief washing down my blood, i took a peep at everyone's elses (they're all on the table anyway) and felt really happy for some of them, especially ning, vel and dani. perhaps it's the proximity and the frequency of seeing them working in school (like aaaaaaall the time, 24/7?) that made me feel really really happy that they get their result which reflects the extent of hardwork they've put into their work. all those constant stress, the ocassional tears, the injuries and sickness, the mounting despair but the knowledge that we can't stop, shouldn't stop, everything had paid off. the lecturers weren't oblivious to their hardwork, and i felt really happy for them.

people started to stream in slowly. first came dani, and she brought me a story that made me happiest still. she said that nat overheard the teachers talking and they said that they were pleased with my progress. that, compared to anything else, made my day. simply the thoughts that the lecturers were glad with the progress that i've made is enough to make me happy like i've not been in weeks! thank you very much lecturers! i won't be here if not because of you!

...and vel, of course. i told her that god made her move place to her current house so that she can help me get through degree year xD because of her new place, she started taking the same bus with me every night and we talk and shares idea. well, more like i'm listening to her than me sharing my idea. we'd just start talking lightly, at first about school work and daily stress and daily happenings, and by the time we reached the bus stop, we would already started on more serious topics, fundamentals and opinions about design, how things that i initially thought was wrong was actually not so wrong after all, how things could be seen from a different perspective, and HOW that different perspective can take form in. i think whenever i said something, it would always be in pessimisic and no-confidence-in-myself tone, but vel always manage to make it sound like i'm not wrong in thinking like that, but perhaps it could be pushed and develop further, and she would tell loads of stories of examples, and so slowly i'm starting to open my mind and learn of how to think. and that coincided with the time when i was changing my whole collection direction after work check comment from JS in week 5.

so, if i were to credit people who've helped me in this final collection, i guess i have to name her and LR equally, really. no doubt LR gave a lot of comments and feedback and teachings, but i'm so slow you wouldn't believe how much of those info i could actually digest by myself. if not because of vel who 'digested' the info and re-feed it back to me in a much simpler terms on daily basis, on and on and on every night for weeks until i started to grasp the idea of how to think, i don't think i'll be here. i still have a looooooooooooooooong way to go, of course, but the progress that i've made while having lectures from vel seems like bigger than the progress i've made for the 2 years and a half before. i guess, not only for science or maths, i need a personal tutor in arts too... and i found one =) and, if you're reading this vel, THANK YOU! ^___^

and of course thanks to ning, too, who, besides being a really dependable help-desk for technical problem of any sorts, had also been a voice of reason for many times. when i took my dad to the airport and was on the way home at 8 at night, instead of being the usual i-understand-your-position-so-go-home-and-rest friend, she firmly said, "i think you should come to school. from 9 to 11 you can do some things." i was taken aback at first, but i went to school anyway, and glad that i did. and that didn't happen only once. ning has this gift of persuasion in her voice, somehow i just listen to her xD well, sometimes i didn't but, yea, sometimes. but if there are anyone in class whom i always go to for help when i'm desperate, it's the help-desk ning. unfortunately i think a lot of other people think the same way as i do, thus the reason her area is called the CBD, the most busy area xD but i owe her tremendous amount too. as i said before, dia tu lagi nyasar: malaikat nyasar ke bumi ^^

i should write thank-you notes to everyone in class, coz they've helped me one way or another throughout this wonderful BA year.

i should do my photo slideshow too. i think i should do a medley, but gackt's no ni saku hana no you ni will definitely be one of the song!

aaanyway. going back to thursday afternoon. we were supposed to use the time since then until yesterday to finish up our portfolio and start today on garments garments garments... but i went into hang-mode and haven't been making much progress with layouts. but no worries, i'll get the job done. this time for real, coz it'll be for the fashion show.

so, i shall take leave and go to school now. jyaa~
im thinking of archiving this in my lj tomorrow...

im watching old, old clips of tvxq and currently jaejoong is being interviewed alone. he still has his long black hair and look somewhat uncomfortable being alone. as he'd said recently, when the other members aren't around, he felt smaller, ne? but what's even more significant than that is that he doesn't seem to exude idol-like aura like johnnys' juniors already do when they're still juniors, and at the same time he also has a really strong idol-like charm that surfaces at critical points. the interview is me-ccccha adorable!!! *glomps young jaejoong* he really looked like someone who would be a bullying victim... and even now he still has that bulliable aura about him, sometimes xD

and i just can't keep my mouth shut while he's talking about those 2 girls whom he misses...you playboy you! xD and, eeeeh, 2004 means he's just 18, deshou? what's the age limit for alcohol in korea, i wonder? i laughed the hardest at, "acting in XXXX, nothing to be proud of, actually. i'm just one of the 200,000 extras" ---> ROFLOL XDDDD just how adorable can you get, hero?

and now they;re having vocal training. wow, i can relate to most of those trainings! i miss choir days!!

they were talking about o jung ban hap MV making. up til then, i still haven't watched the MV, so i didn't know that they went to 4 different countries to shoot the mv. ok, technically 3. yoochun and changmin went to prague while jaejoong went to thailand. the others stayed in seoul, i guess? but i wondered why they have to go so far... most of the imp scenes are all the dance scenes anyway, and the random panoramic view of various places just made it a bit confusing. i still prefer o sei han go, o jung ban hab's japanese version. it's sleeker and allows us to concentrate on their dancing, which is, like mirotic, really quite cool.

tvxq and news - comparing fandom

i followed NEWS winter party Diamond Tour from october last year to beginning of this year, and tohoshinki is currently having their tour too. last week they went to Kobe and this week would be Saitama. i've joined the (i think) major communities for both news and tvxq in hope of being able to follow closely what the idols are doing. but, different fandom, different idols and different fans, ne? i'm still new in tvxq comm, but while reading my f-list (and contents of both comms), i've felt the difference already.

firstly, similarities. of course, fancams, fanaudios, papparrazzi pictures and stories, ne? how else would fans brag about their encounter with the idols apart from those. usually they go to the cons, take pictures of con venues and goods (light sticks, pamphlets, uchiwas, whatever they happen to buy), some would sneak in recording device and somehow a recording or two of the performance would leak to the net, and they would later write about the con from their point of view.

the difference is the way they call this 'story' that they write. in NEWS fandom, we call it "fan report" while as in tvxq fandom it's called "fan account". but no matter what it's called, stories written by fans about tour concerts are highly sought after. fans loove to read more about their idols, and since no magazine or newspaper ever covered enough of it (how could they just write a simple, "XXXX is going to perform in YYYY venue at ZZZZ time. XXXX group is blablahblah" kind of article when they're performing differently at different venue at different time each time? simply not enough!), fans resort to fans who would write (in extensive details!) about their idols.

fan reports vary in format and content, because it's a semi-personal reflection of the concert. we see the concert from the eyes of the writer. that's why a good fan-report writer who goes to a lot of cons is very precious. they have the ability to transport us, the readers, to the venue, to the concert, and sit there with them throughout the concert. some of the best fan-report writer i've encountered wrote about anything and everything related to the con: the journey to the con venue (and collectively noticing numerous other fans heading in the same direction), the venue itself, other fans, the performance, what happened in the performance, how it ended, highlights of the con, random observations, conclusions taken from random observations, everything! i'm talking, of course, about daelite-san. by the end of reading her fan-reports, i felt like i've been there in person, watching the cons myself. and since she went to A LOT of NEWS cons in their last tour, i felt like i've somewhat followed their tour too ^^

by the way, i don't think daelite-san post her fan reports up in the community. so, i guess i have to ganbatte and start fishing out good fan-report writers in the tvxq comm for tohoshinki's current tour.

another difference in the fandom is, of course, the fans. i think youtube has a lot of evidence of this, but some of tohoshinki's fans are really quite wild. i don't usually see NEWS getting mobbed by fans, they almost always able to keep their distance away from fans who are waiting in airports, perhaps that's why they can afford a smile and a wave or two to the fans. but tohoshinki has maniacal fans who take pics right in front of their faces, who come close just to throw a bag at them and so on... it's really quite scary...

which is why when ayase123-san went to Haneda airport and happened to catch them coming back from korea (they only have 2-day break, and i bet they weren't resting when they were in korea!) and able to catch them with her cam, it's so relieving to see them being able to exit the japanese airport in peace. especially since junsu is still on the wheelchair.

everytime i see idols getting mobbed by fans (usually it's at airports), and they show their not-idol-like side and fans retaliate and other fans support them by saying that the idols are nasty, i feel like knocking the fans' heads to the wall. come on, people, idols are HUMANS too! and you are humans too! try imagining your life being published onto the net 24/7, every single gesture is photographed, every single person you meet is written about, every single place you went to gets featured in some fan blogs or forums, imagine that your life is not yours anymore but your fans'...

it's a crazy job, being an idol. they're not selling a product, a service or technique, they're selling themselves! and still we can't get enough of them! we want more, more and more! try having that kind of lives and imagine one of those little papparrazzi creeters suddenly stood right in front of you with a camera 25 cm away from your face and clicking, see if you wouldn't explode!

you know they're adorable people if they're not cornered. give them space! and some privacy while you're at it. stalking them to homes sounds like a perfect thing to do to brag to your friends and the rest of the fandom (heck i was planning to hunt yochan's house down if one day i'm in LA -_-) but you're just making them miserable. yes, they might be grateful for the gestures at the start of their carreers, but once they got big (and, yes, tohoshinki IS big now), such gestures will become a burden and, soon, a hindrance and, finally, a source of misery.

if you love your idols enough, try giving them space and privacy. be more like the fans at the haneda airport in ayase123-san's fancam. they wave to them and show their excitement, but they stood still. ...well, at least most did. i know it's impossible, and perhaps ayase123-san only got realllly lucky that most other fans didn't know they would be coming at haneda and thus no mobs were seen. but at least try and be one of the more sensible fans. there are sensible fans out there, in fact i think that most of us are sensible. it's just that the crazier and more lunatic ones are the ones who are always remembered. it's kinda sad at how they looked more at peace when they came to japan than when they went back home to korea.

gee, i didn't start blogging to give a lecture like this O.O after all, goodness knows what i would do if i happen to catch any of my idols live in person -_- but hopefully, at that time, i would still be able to keep my senses and not storm all over them like some mental-ward escapee.

it's enough that they have numerous crazy fans out here who does crazy things like watching their clips 24/7 from youtube or making GIfs out of their clips like nobody's business, but at least we don't disturb them or stalk them, ne?

TVXQ early days

warning: KATTUN fans, don't read. whatever's written here is personal opinion that does not apply to you or anyone else, just me, ok? flames will NOT be entertained, you've been warned.


i was googling about and watched a variety show of tvxq in 2004, that should be about juuuust after their debut in japan. what surprised me was how very different they look now from last time.

firstly, jaejoong O.O his hair is like a typical JRocker O.O very long and like a lion's mane! and when he put a minute tiara on it, damn, jaejoong you're SO ready to break into the JRock world!




secondly, junsu! omg he's too freakin adorable with that shaggy titanium-blond hair xD he looks like a cat! i think yunho was explaining that since they're boyband, there's a certain image that each member carries. changmin's the youngest one, so he's the cute one (and in the programme, he does look cute with a frameless specs and looking very young indeed), jaejoong's the most charismatic (and until now perhaps he still is), while junsu's supposed to be the mysterious one. hell WHAT??! xDDDD mysterious????? when he said that, i laughed. how could junsu be the mysterious one???? with THAT face???? xDDD

i forgot to mention that about last week i called sa and we got to catch up with each other on the phone. it was high-stress time, just a few days before assessment, and i just escaped outside the classroom and talked to her, laughing and shrieking like some aunties on the phone, i suspect xD but anyway, i was telling her, "sa! gw ud ngga anti korea skarang!" and i told her that i'm hooked into tvxq. and she was like, in oh-so-rhesa-mocking tone said something like, "daripada itu, tonton kattun sana, they're cool, their dance is good."

fearing that i misheard what she said, i asked her to confirm if she really said kattun, and she did. and i switched on my own mocking defendant tone, "omg! loe suka mereka???????? they can't sing!!!" "but their dance is hot, okay" "okay la, they can dance. but, like, only 2 person can sing well?? and tohoshinki can dance too!" and so on and so on, like per normal as when me and sa talk =P i think she's among the very little people to whom i can show my "nyolot" side to, apart from hany xD basically when i'm talking to her, i can switch on my annoying mode and become really stubborn, mocking and, well, unpleasant =P i feel kinda sorry for her xD but anyway the gist of our conversation is: she likes to watch kattun. not to a point of being a fan, coz i think she still has an eye for quality too, and i admit that they're famous for being dancing group.

okay. here's ending today's blog. it took quite some time for me to start liking tvxq's dance songs, and even longer to start listening to their korean ones. but the barrier's down, and this is one of my fave dance song from them: Mirotic.

good morning the world~

as of yesterday, living started from Botak Jones xD

we breezed fumbled through our final assessment in a slightly dazed mode. for many of us, it's basically from the lack of sleep and weeks' worth of constant labouring in school. it was only until the debriefing moment that it really struck me that it was assessment. sounds funny, no? -__- my presentation was easily my worst presentation throughout my history of schooling, it was beyond horrible >_<> i was incoherent, jumping from one point to another before coming back to the first point again, forgotting to open my portfolio, everything that could happen in a bad presentation happened. like geez....

but anyway what's done is done. from school, we headed to botak jones. finally we could fulfil that one plan before graduation xD joy and charlie joined us for the meal too. from there we went to kino and browsed some magz. couldn't find dira -_- why is it everytime i'm in kino it's always her day off? i wanted to secure a cash studio date with her while introducing charlie to her xD i owe dira a cash studio treat, and at the same time i want to treat charlie and vel too. it should be fine, ne, coz vel doesn't understand japanese and it wouldn't be fair if she has to pay to try this out. from kino we went home. at the bus stop me and vel were conscious that we're like a bit tipsy xD stress and tiredness make you high, i tell you! at home, i opened the comp to charge my ipod, tried to browse some vids from youtube, but decided that i was too lost to do anything and feel good doing it, so i slumped on the sofa and slept. that was around 6pm i think?

yesterday i specifically told hany and koko: "don't wake me up, ok? i dont want to eat, don't want to do anything at all til i wake up so don't wake me up". but at night, koko woke me up and ask me to sleep inside the room. hours later, hany woke me up again, saying the same thing as koko. in the morning koko woke me up again, asking me to go to bedroom again. and in the afternoon he woke me up again asking me to eat. like aarghhhhhhh~~~~~~~~~~~ -__- in the end i woke up, like 1 pm? and i was escaping the cold air-cond in the living room and *finally* went to my bedroom to sleep some more. i was conscious that i was light-headed and couldn't walk straight, and even now i still can't regain the strength in my hands. i still haven't fully paid my sleeping debt, i guess?

the first thing that i did after eating lunch was to sms people, "good morning the world~" xD everyone replied me promptly except ning who replied me about 2 hours later xD well, we're still recovering. so i'd say: rest well, minna-san!



i've never felt lost after assessment before. but the degree of assessment this time is awfully high that i finally understood fully the meaning of "at loss as to what to do after assessment". i went to my lj f-list and browsed through them and realised that i was not interested in all news related entries at all, though i did check out newshfan's subs of koi no abo performance in MS on 1st may and their SC performance plus NEWS wo Abake part 3. i joined the dbsg community and realised that i'm also not really interested in tvxq's posts, and anyway most of them were talking about tvxq's Kobe performance last weekend and how junsu hurt his leg and unable to perform all the dance songs. i felt burnt out of my fandom world and i'm also not writing in coherent english since just ow and i wonder if this is it of my life as idol-culture consumer?

.. or perhaps i'm just too tired still. i should go back to bed and sleep some more? or should i just start playing maple again? my ekkusu is still a lame level 72 priest after having gone through O'Level, A'Level and degree assessment with me, gee.... i hope that by graduation time i could put her in the bishop title =P

at this point of time, with 2 days worth of sleeping debt (but i actually slept for about 2 hours just now), i'm just going to brisk through today doing as many things as i can. there's no doubt that i won't be able to finish a lot of things, but at this point of time, i just want to get things over and done with.

while waiting for my comp to save my huge catalogue file, went to check the first page of my lj f-list. let's just say that jaejoong's "otoko wa............ ore daaaa~!!!" exclamation woke me up quite a few notches above my current snoozing mode xD

here i am, less than 2 days from the liberation day, the part 1 of the end of my academic life, and i'm feeling totally sick of school work. perhaps it's the humongous amount of work that has to be done before monday plus the apprehension that i will not be able to finish doing everything plus knowing that i won't be sleeping til then anyway. i've been getting my old nausea attack like i used to get before 2.4km napfa test >_<>

took me hours to be totally awake this morning to do my flats, and kept myself occupied with jaejoong's Footstep playing in the background... but still..... sigh....

just heard Violet UK's Rosa that was released together with the movie Goemon yesterday. really nice song, just as yochan style. i wonder if yochan played all those things himself, the acoustic guitar, drums and electric guitar. the piano is of course him, ne. i think the vocalist is still the same vocalist as Blue Butterfly and Sex and Religions. such a pity nicole went to pussycat dolls -_-

jaejoong...

this has been on continuous repeat while i'm doing my technical drawings. finished playing, stopped, go to youtube, press play again, do flats again, finished playing, stopped, go youtube, press play again... i'm just so mesmerised with it *____* the same way i was mesmerised with Tegomassu's Sunadokei last year.



jaejoong and his beautiful voice sounding so emotional and tragic. it's the combination of both the song and his voice that draws me into it. that was the song that he sang to the girl in the variety show, the one i said will make any girl blush to the extreme-est. okay, maybe after knowing the lyrics, it won't xD but the way jae sang it will *_* especially if he happens to sing it to someone who doesn't understand korean

i'm gonna learn this song! and hunt it down in cash studio and when i'm k-ok-ing with veli! gotta prepare my first korean cheatsheet after the assessment xD

i think this song will remind me of the final moments of BA year...

bye bye NEWS?

after discovering Tohoshinki, i'm subconsciously (and, now that i realised it, consciously) putting NEWS aside. starting from pressing the "next" button when NEWS song appeared in my shuffle list and only settling for tohoshinki, now i've progressed to not caring about NEWS clips that i've not watched and searched for more and more tohoshinki clips instead...

but how could i not? when all those boys are so talented? both groups debuted at the same time, 2003, and tvsq average age is younger than NEWS (the range is from massu to tego, i believe). but look at what tohoshinki had proven themselves to be, and the potential that they still carry. i'm sorry NEWS, it had been a wonderful year with you, but i just need something to occupy myself with while waiting for your trimester-ly singles (which would be followed by appearances in shows) and yearly concerts. and, while the first half year was fascinating, i must admit that Summer Time was the peak of my fascination and everything kinda plateau-ed from there (and even dipped at Happy Birthday coz i don't like it).

Tegomassu no koto, i'm still counting on the hope that they will show off more than what they've shown, coz currently Johnny is not fully taping to their potential. i don't know whether it's because they can't be more popular than their senior and pose a threat to the currently-popular-est group (arashi) or whatsoever, but if you don't polish those gems that you have, johnny, it's such a pity and a waste. tegomassu is more than just sweet-as-sugar and cute-as-bunnies ballads singers!

but, putting tegomassu aside, yea, i believe i think that that's it for NEWS. they can improve, yes certainly (hell yes they SHOULD!) but i think it will be a really tough job, seeing that the management had settled into putting themselves in their current image and doesn't seem to be pushing them to do more. ryo is still having double commitments that would put a restrain on NEWS activities should they have any in the future. yamapi's been trying hard to pull NEWS up and i can see it and i appreciate it, but i don't think it's enough to make the management let them do something more than what they're currently doing. kei-chan is busy enough with his MC-ing jobs, and i think that's really what he's good at. shige is rising, and i'm putting my hopes on him to make a change in the future. and tegomassu is so passive unless they are in tegomassu activities...

i feel bad for saying this but.... buck up, NEWS!

will continue supporting you (hell i'm waiting for my Koi no ABO package to arrive at this moment) but i will still critically judge you. thank you for the happy moments in the past year (hoo goodness i feel like i'm ditching a boyfriend or something), it has been a really fun year, and i especiallyt hank you, yamapi, for being such an inspiration. you'll continue to be, pi-chan.

but meanwhile, i'm pulling out a fresh page in my fandom world for tohoshinki, tvsq, dbsk, whatever. i know that i'm still in the early phase, anything and everything that i found out about them will amaze me. but i think with the kind of things they've done, i'll never get bored in the future. just like i'm anxious for tegomassu to release new stuff coz i know what they can do, i will also be anxiously waiting for tvsq to release new stuff in the future coz i know what they can do. and it's amazing, the things that they can do.

for one, my hunger for piano sounds will not only come from yochan alone now, coz i've seen 3 out of 5 members playing the piano and playing it well. inoo from HSJ plays piano too, and so do some other johnnys, but the quality of the voices that accompany him/them is, well, different.

junsu + piano and singing with the rest. he surprised me when he played, coz he seemed to be pretty good at it, and i didn't really expect it of him coz apart from this clip, i've yet to see him with a piano.




jaeejoong + piano. and i was even more surprised when he played xD really, i didn't expect it of him. i think i've stayed too much in JE world until the prospect of a good looking singer with awesome voice being able to play something more than a guitar seems rather cool and unexpected...




and, finally, my fave member micky yoochun. i wasn't really surprised that he could play, actually. maybe i was introduced to it a bit more progressively than the others. i caught him with piano in some clips, not doing something big, more like just playing. so i was delighted to find that someone had compiled those snippets of him playing piano together.






and here's the reason why jaeejoong is my second favourite singer. he has such beautiful voice... though he does goes flat sometimes when singing live



that performance will put any girl into her extreme-est blush *___*


and here's why yoochun's my favourite singer. he might not have jae's mesmerising eyes and good looks, but in terms of voice, he does not lose.



and here's why i think that he should be invited to K-chan News as a double-guest together with tego so that they can produce spectacular mousou kiss scenes.

i still think very very highly of Bolero, coz i think it's a really tough song to sing, and sometimes they're still not doing it right. but it's also the perfect song to show off their vocals.
